"Your emotions make you weak!" This coming from the guy whose defining motivation is saving his dying wife...
Intentionally ironic?
He doesn't let people know that.
Freeze was just acting tough to be "cool"... yeah ok, i'll leave now.
Exactly, to save his wife he had to let go of everything else, and become a creature of pure determination.
About Alfred And Freeze's wife, this is explained: They've got the same disease, but Alfred is still at the first/second phase, which can be cured by Freeze medicine. His wife instead is at the third and there is no known cure for this.
And that is how Nostalgia Critic became the new Joker...
what does this have to do with the original comment
Melvin Melvin Brother of the Joker
I'd love to see Doug as the joker in a parody movie one day!
100th liker!!!!
iM3GTR he would have made a better joker than fucking jared leto

I miss that "Of Course!" Joke so much.

Of course!!
R.I.P. Joel Schumacher, this movie may have been awful, but you seemed like a genuinely good man at heart, especially when apologizing for this film's existence.
Victoria Garcia Wait, Joel is dead ?
@@adonis7626 yeah, he died on June 22nd 2020.
I stand by my defense of liking Batman Forever though.
I don't think this film is anywhere close to as bad as people make it out to be. Yeah, it's stupid, and very bad when compared to the first two Batman movies, but worst movies of all-time? Fuck off, not when shit like Foodfight, Garbage Pail Kids and Freddy Got Fingered exists.
@@DarkAttackYT Yeah, that one's definitely up there. I've never even watched the show and I was insulted by it.
I once tried to rent this movie at Blockbuster when Blockbuster was still a thing. I asked the guy behind the counter if they had this movie and he pretended like he didn't know what I was talking about just so that I wouldn't watch it. That man would forever be my hero. Unfortunately, I did see it when it aired on TV a few weeks later.
Rip
how did you know he was pretending? did you ask him?
Edward HARRISON [12M3] no it was a video retail store that got killed by Netflix
CmanTheMonkey they were making a joke because THERE IS NO MORE BLOCKBUSTER

and he didn't even Mention bane
Still a better looking Bane than Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy perhaps doesn't look like Bane, but _he still acts like Bane it's supposed to be_.
+Ian Cobain he looked better, but Tom hardy acted a way better bane
+Gokussjdensetsuno45 No he still sucks too and (besides this one) is the worst portrayal of Bane ever. He sounds like a worse version of Darth Vader the mask is retarded and unnecessary, and you can't understand a single thing he says, besides that he was born in the darkness. So yeah Tom Hardy still sucks.
+Wicked Bat I understood him for the most part. You are exagerating.
To the movie's credit, the "I'm afraid you'l have to die." was pretty funny.
It looks and sounds like Xzar from Baldur's Gate.
lol tell us more about your videos. how many subs and views you have. at least critic has something to hate on.
hi
hi
Couldn't tell ya honestly.
Mr. Freeze didn't use the Cure on his wife, because he only found the cure for the first stage of the disease, where Alfred was at. His wife was on a much harsher stage.
It's even foreshadowed earlier in the movie, when Batman is looking at Mr. Freeze's research, and says that he appears to have found the cure for early stages of the disease.
It’s still really contrived that they have the exact same disease
He went over that in the first Top 11 Fuck Ups video
Say what you will about Schwarzenegger's performance; at least you can tell he was having fun
The Odd Life of Timothy Green review.
+mach6247 Excuse me?
yes Rhett you are excused
Arnold Schwarzenegger majority of the time have fun with his roles no matter how awful his movies are.. Not saying all his movies are awful either.. Love The Terminator Movies, Commando, The Predator, Conan the barbarian 1 and 2, and ect
More like he was having pun
This is why Superman works alone.

Walt Disney actually could've hid in Disneyland, he had an apartment in the firehouse. So technically, if you didn't know about the apartment, he could've so....
I heard about that...I still would've looked there
TheHauntedMansionFan12345 true true
Besides, Disneyland would actually the last place i would look for Walt Disney. It would be just too obvious.
WJZAV Exactly. It's like if Cookie Monster went insane for his love of cookies and kidnapped someone and his hideout was the cookie factory.
How do you keep a secret from the word's greatest detective? It's easy, you stick it right in front of him, right under his long pointy nose and wait.
16:27: That scene alone from the Nostalgia Critic even made my then 75 year-old grandfather *crack himself* with hysterics, despite him himself never seeing "Batman and Robin" as an film throughout!
batman forever: haha. this is so bad it's funny.
batman and robin: why
+Charlie Hinkley I think that Batman Robin was a poor excuse to try to be "family friendly" and a poor excuse to try to sell merchandise. I think that was also the reason why A Christmas Story 2 was panned by the critics. A Christmas Story 2 was done as an excuse to try to sell merchandise.
Honestly, I think Batman Forever had enough of an atmosphere at times to still be considered a "decent" Batman movie, including having a parrallel between Bruce and Dick with how they're both working through the loss of their families, taking up a life of crime fighting and working through that together. Its probably the only incarnation of Robin which was done rather well. Mind you, I recently rewatched that movie as an adult and I knew that if I saw that in the theater...I probably would've stayed away from Batman And Robin.
+badgerman Omg, they seriously came out with A Christmas Story 2?! WTF? I've never heard of that. Holy shit though, WHY??? It didn't need a sequel! They ruined it!!!
+badgerman Dear LORD, I just looked up the trailer! I couldn't believe it. I must've not heard about the sequel because I only had Netflix and probably didn't see any commercials of it? Wtf were they thinking?
I still feel that "Batman and Robin" was made to sell merchandise and a poor attempt to be be "family friendly"
Atleast mr. Schwarzenegger got a pretty cool role.
I'm gonna leave now...
Chill, bro. It's a nice ice of life comedy!
Andrew:thats was a cold pun bro
meta:yeah it made freeze to death
Icy what you did there.
still not as bad as when hell froze over and the terminator franchise gave him an even worse role with successfully killing john conners in a retcon
@zach5350 zach5350 Take a chill pill.
I don't think the Bruce and Alfred scene was that "gay". It's the one scene in the movie with some substance. It's a son talking to his father figure, not knowing if it'll be the last time. If you look at the way Bruce hugged Alfred, it's the way any man would hug their father. So......that's the ONLY thing I can defend.
M. Chedderbeef I agree
Indeed. The intimate scenes with Alfred actually felt like the one scenes that were actually taken seriously in the whole film
Yeah it’s irritating that you actually have some pretty interesting and powerful scenes in an otherwise awful film
@@Zug8415 Indeed.
And this same scene actually contains some surprisingly powerful dialogue too.
Namely this from Alfred:
"Death and chance stole your parents. But rather than become a victim, you have done everything in your power to control the fates. For what is Batman if not an effort to master the chaos that sweeps our world, an attempt to control death itself?"
Very gay scene.

"RAPE MY CHILDHOOD WOULD YOU! " Lol I was busting up laughing at this part

DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE! GGDUHFBJGCGHN
Bad Credit Card.
That needs to be a meme but I also like the face he makes at 5:38, I've started using that myself, not on videos of course
What annoys me about this movie isn't the cheap sets. It isn't the corny one liners. (I actually love word play, *especially* one-liners.) It isn't the ridiculously X-rated Bat/Robin suits. Hell, it isn't even the Bat Credit card. It's the fact that Batman isn't innovative enough to think, "Hang on. My voice is easily recognisable. I should change that!" Anyone with fucking ears could deduce it's Bruce Wayne under that mask.
+Chris Sullivan It seemed more like George Clooney was playing himself in a Batman suit in this film rather than actually playing Batman.
It was George Clooney showing off his nipples
+Xehanort10 Difficult for a guy like him to do anything else. Sure, a voice change would've helped but you're always going to see him as Clooney dressed up like Batman rather than just well...Batman. Blame the casting.
Oh come on, if you are into this shit you should beyond that. How nobody can figure out that clark kent is superman? who cares, it's a silly comic.
leonardoflorentin I'm going by the logic of the film as a standalone, not drawing from the comics. Like hearing a family member calling you from the other side of the house, you don't have to look for them to know who it is - it's bleeding obvious. You only have to recognise their voice. Same applies here.
You're completely right about Superman, and I honestly agree with you, but still, calling Batman comics 'silly' is a little redundant, don't you think? ALL Batman comics are silly! Yeah, serious undertones are thrown in now and again (New 52's Joker? Creeeeepyyyyy~!), and the overall atmosphere mainly depends on the writers/artists, but predominantly, the idea of a man swinging around in a cape punching bad guys in the name of JUSTICE is freakin' hilarious to me. And that's why I love them.
You may not like comics, and that's fair enough, but that doesn't mean you can shit on people who do.
How bossilbly sick he could be?
-Bruce:he’s dying.
Awkward
And Clooney says it with a smile on his face.....😂
I thought that Barbara was related to Commissioner Gordon, not Alfred.
She's also supposed to be a redhead and wear a bat-cowl.
In the comic books she is
Honestly, given how Batgirl is blond in this one, she looks more like Stephanie Brown.
They thought that Gordon looked too old to be her father so they made her Alfred's niece.
@@saulthechicanootaku Yes!
The funniest thing about the Bat Credit Card is that it makes perfect sense. If Batman needed to make an emergency purchase, he would need a separate credit card that didn't tie back to his Bruce Wayne identity. xD
"DOES NOT COMPUTE!"
and thus, one of Nostalgia Critics greatest lines was born. Happy 10th anniversary :)

8:22 The famous Bat credit card reaction.
The fact that this is from 2008 just shows how well the nostalgia critic has aged
Why replace Val Kilmer he did good, same with Keaton. That's like switching Spider Man three times, oh wait
Val Kilmer was in another project and if I remember correctly it was around that time that the Island of Dr. Moreau was being made. 😂
OH how the times have changed ;D
Val Kilmer actually wasn't interested in coming back, and Keaton actually didn't really mind apparently being replaced as he didn't really like batman returns.
Funny you mention the spider man thing...tobey than andrew...but then we got tom holland. the geek nerd school ADHD fake-out villain iron spidey garbage franchise that feels more like a parody. michael keaton was the only saving grace of the one.
Kilmer was often busy fighting with Schumacher & company during filming of the prior film and then the ugly bomb “Island of Dr. Moreau” came along to keep him busy
He refused because he *actually* did not like the direction the studio were taking the franchise.
"What killed the dinosaurs? The ice age!"
"Actually, scientists are leaning towards a continent-sized meteor as the cause of the mass extinction."
" -.- Die."
The Ice Age was millions of years after the dinosaurs had already died, so they could not possibly have been related. The dinosaurs died at the end of the Mesozoic era, 65 million years ago, and the Ice Age (the Interglacial period at the beginning of the Quaternary period) started 2.6 million years ago!
Yeah, when he said that, I was like “That’s not even true.”

I see this film as the Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer of superhero movies, as in everybody hates it but nobody takes the time to appreciate how bad it is.
I like grandma got run over by a reindeer...
It's a great drinking game though
I didn't hate that Christmas movie
+illumiNATI yeah it was a great laugh
... but you don't mean actually good do you
+karmalotus22 well I am "nostalgic" for it 😋
Oh boy... I just understood an important thing: Batman and Robin is the live version of Foodfight! Think about it. The writers in both movies didn't know how to write dialogues and make two characters interact with each other so they simplified their script by making everyone speaks in puns!
And the result in both films is unintentionally hilarious!
But batman and robin actually had some good things
I loved this movie when I was a kid and, despite realising how bad it was in hindsight, I cannot bring myself to hate it.
Besides Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy jumpstarted my puberty around 5 years early! XD
Oh, so you were getting boners at 3 years old?
I still kinda like it, too, but it's still bad... I'm also one of the few people that liked Eon Flux so that explain a lot xD
I saw it on Cartoon Network when I was younger. I barely remember anything.

Batman Returns : Brilliant villains and amazing visuals 9.5/10
Batman Mask of the Phantasm : Great voice acting, animation and music 9.4/10
Batman Forever : Bit too over the top but still hugely enjoyable 7.3/10
Batman Begins : Apart from some bad pacing,it's awesome 9.8/10
The Dark Knight : Amazing action, writing and villain 10/10
The Dark Knight Rises : Full of plot holes and a bit anti climatic but still a great finale 7/10
Batman is not a comic book movie. Batman kills in that movie. That's already breaking the characters number one rule. How the fuck is that faithful to the comic? Also it's interesting to point out that burton has said in interviews that he doesn't read or like comics and that he's more interested in the villains and what grew to be his usual weird emo shit. Batman (not Bruce Wayne) is in the movie for literally less than 30 minutes.
+Sebastian Fitzpatrick Why do people keep forgetting Gotham Knight? It starts off not great but the animation through most of it is beyond beautiful and it has some heart wrenching scenes.
nick hurns Batman 89 is based the original Bob Kane / Bill Finger comics where he killed,Burton was quoted on saying that he loved The Killing Joke and Batman not being in the film creates great mystery for the character.

At least the Adam West series stylized the campiness, and had a lower budget so it was justified.
Lower budgets do not justify anything. Nevertheless, I love the classic Adam West series.
Toy Bonnie Well, that and it was INTENTIONALLY campy. This is just... horrible. No wait, that's too generous.
If one wants to watch a good Batman movie that also features both Batman and Robin, go for the Adam West movie or Batman Forever. At least THOSE were entertaining. This one is just... painful. Like, 'holy crap give me a cyanide pill' painful.
And the Adam West show was a parody of what the Batman comics were like at the time since they were forced to tone them down in the 50's and 60's because of a hack psychologist called Frederick Wertham who blamed comics for juvenile delinquency, homosexuality and violence just because he didn't like comics.
15:46 And then Joker shows up, shoots Barbra and paralyzes her for life, making her go from Batgirl to Oracle, from hero to tech support...no wait that's a different Barbra. Because GOD FORBID this movie do SOMETHING accurate

Critic. Batman is rich. He is rich and he funnels that money into his crime fighting enterprise under several false identities and shell companies.
And being someone who prepares for any event or situation, as portrayed in both the comics and TV/movie adaptations, and using that money to buy thing he won't normally buy, like diapers for a rescued baby, or coffee to keep himself awake.
And the fact that he likes to ACCESSORIZE his crime fighting figure, buying gadgetry and weapons from something sensible to a car, to something silly like his Bat-Shaped projectiles, and the afore mentioned shell companies...
What exactly is so rediculous and anger provoking about Batman using a Bat Credit Card!?

+Chandler Orrell He kinda is. There's an episode where he goes batshit crazy because of some dumb "plot" reasons, and takes it out on a bunch of garden gnomes.
RedNarwhal ttg Robin is psychotic
It's funny how lots of people nowadays complain about Avengers Age of Ultron having too many quips and one liners and is too fast paced.
But at least it isn't like Batman and Robin.
The one liners in Avengers Age of Ultron are funny. The hero's are interesting and the Villain is awesome. And the story is at least interesting.
Whereas, in Batman and Robin, all the characters One liners are f*#king annoying, not funny in the least. And don't even get me started on Ivy and Mr. Freeze, the most ridiculously cheesy Villains ever in a Super hero movie . And the story was absolute sh*#
Give me Avengers Age of Ultron anyday.
+Honey059 I actually loved Age of Ultron, people hated it? I thought it was damn funny and found a nice balance between being funny and sometimes dark. It had some moments that were copied from the first film, sure, but it was nice how they improved on the first one a bit as well like giving the audience an actual reason to care about Hawkeye's character.
Ultron I thought was a chilling villain. While he's generic, there's no doubt that making him pretty much be the negative side of Tony was a good call to foreshadow who he could be and it was nice that they even make it so stubborn that he doesn't even want to be compared to him.
+Leopold Litchenstein (SpongeBobfan1.5) I liked Age of Ultron. It wasn't quite as good as the Avengers, but I loved James Spader as Ultron, he was great in that role.
JRH 35 Definitely, made for an enjoyable performance. My only gripe with the film is that it's WAY too stuffed with content with little means of keeping it contained within the story of the film.
I agree with all of you
Its sad that schumaker passed away hell be missed by those who loved him and his work

+Spinlok Why........? What else needs to be said about this movie? It's not like his opinion will ever change or he'll be like "Well I guess I gave this movie more criticism than it deserved" .
This movie is a giant steaming piece of shit. The end.

A bat FREAKING credit card?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
This movie captures the corniness and camp of Silver Age comics perfectly
It feels like a bad mix of Golden and Silver Age comics. Too many unnecessary characters that don't do anything, strangely camp and bordering on creepy at times. This is all on top of the bad execution and completely redone characters. Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Batgirl are all the 3 types of bad adaptations. Mr. Freeze was not fueled by diamonds, it's just something stupid the writers added to give him an easily exploitable weakness. Poison Ivy just had her entire character redone for the worse and had completely different powers, and Batgirl has her entire backstory redone just to more closely connect her to Batman and Robin, when the original worked just as fine
Viewtiful Z And besides. The sliver age of Batman comics were terrible. It's like making Looney Tunes into a complex drama about the meaning in life, death, character development, and betrayals.
No. It doesn't. The '66 show did. Last time I checked, the Silver Age had a distinct lack of Bat-Nipples. Read a comic.
The Silver Age... Brainiac looked like fucking Reducto there!!
The Robin's dialogue replacement was the best thing here😄😄😄
Anakin in Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith be like:
5:55 The audience will want me to say, "BAT CREDIT CARD!" for the rest of my life!
What's next, superman having a driver's license??
If you view Batman & Robin as a serious superhero movie, it's terrible. If you view it as a two hour-long shitpost, however, it's a masterpiece.

God, old Nostagia Critic was the best!
I kinda liked Arnold as Mr. Freeze. He was having way too much fun with the character for me not to like him.
God I hope they put the Bat Credit Card in The Lego Batman Movie
Equestrian Idiot Noooooooo! That will make me not tolerate the movie! Don't give the director any ideas! Please!
Somehow the thumbnail looks a bit more funnier than the original thumbnail of this video
09:34 you mean the BAT CREDIT CARD!
He's trying not to say it to avoid getting angry again.
Batman 1966 - Not as good at the tv show. 8/10
Batman 1989 - One of my favourite films ever. 10/10
Batman Returns - More of a guilty pleasure though. 4/10
Batman Forever - Awesomely funny 8/10
Batman And Robin - Watch the video. 2/10
Catwoman - WORST FILM EVER -10/10
The Dark Knight Trilogy - All of them are amazing! 10/10.
+Oliver Hayhoe Catwoman 10/10? :D
DarthRushy minus 10/10
+Oliver Hayhoe What do u think Batman v Superman will be?
Asian Doctor Who Nerd Shite 3/10. They are gonna cram WAY too much in and it'll just be like Spider-Man 3 all over again; a jumbled mess. Also, they spoiled THE ENTIRE PLOT in the trailer and I hated Man Of Steel.
+Asian Doctor Who Nerd BvS is gonna be amazing, so 8 octillion out of 10.
A Bat credit card? How has Bruce kept his secret identity if he has a bat credit card that can easily be traced by the police, the FBI or the IRS?
That's why it's so stupid
In my headcanon, it's just for show.
