Mr. Apartment They are amazing. They have CV control, which is a huge deal. I record under the name Wolfgang Van Eldorado. I have a couple of releases that feature both machines. Soundcloud, or under Akashic Envoy Recordings at Bandcamp.
@@mr.apartment Thanks, bro. That is the Valkyrie doing the heavy lifting. No CV, just playing it with the onboard controls. That machine is a stunner, and does things nothing else does. Billy over at Trogotronic is Mozart with a soldering iron. That machine does a LOT, but the videos that exist don't do a great job of showing what it's capabilities are. I took a chance on it, since the 679 was so useful. Very glad I did.
at around 4:27 yes, i have one of the outputs of the mixer going to the input of the mutant. but at other times in the video i'm using the FX. if you're unfamiliar with an FX loop and looking for a mixer, it's definitely worth checking out. they are super useful. hope that helps!
I wanted to run this through a few other pedals into a mixer. I cant find what the polarity of it is? I'm afraid of fucking something up cause I'm relatively new to this, maybe you knew the answer?
power supply is 12v 0.5A (500ma) center positive. as for the output polarity I have no idea. I've run it thru a few different mixers and it does run hot but it has never messed anything up
yes and no. the pedal's volume is unable to be controlled as it comes stock. so work arounds would be, on the cheaper side, a splitter cable and a mute box after the trog. if you're good with electronics you could add your own volume knob or mute switch to the pedal. I have seen some cables with a volume control built into them. on the more expensive side you can get a pedal board switcher / router like this buildyourownclone.com/collections/loopers-routers/products/super8 which saves presets of pedal routing. those things are really cool if you have the money / time. there's also the mixer option, bastl makes the dude which is a super small mixer. don't know if you could control it with your foot or not tho. always options, just depends how hard you want to work for it. you could also possibly make a power cut off switch, but i'm not positive if signal will run thru the pedal passively. I want to say it won't. that's something I'd have to check.
Wow. 657 + Superego+ = my next gear purchase. Thank you for this great video!
it’s a rugged beauty :) happy you enjoyed it
I own the 679 and the Valkyrie. Very useful machines.
i'd love to get my hands on either of those one day :)

i have no doubt haha
Is the mixer making a feedback loop feeding back the mutant?

Is there a way to bypass the signal if I wanted to throw one of these on a pedalboard?
