Is vanilla any better than hidden bar? hidden bar is opensource too, which is why i was using it but I am now considering purchasing bartender because it just works better on my small 13" macbook air m2.

Macs are the number one purchased laptops yes. In terms of more macbooks are sold then any other individual laptop, but the amount of people who have windows laptops far exceeds how many people have macs.

Again, depend on what you’re looking for on a laptop, you might choose xps or mac. I will still choose mac since I value long battery life that don’t exist on windows laptops until this year.

Coming from me as a windows user, it really depends on the person and I suppose for people who prefer using Mac os, apps like these give them access to useful windows features without having to compromise their preferred os :p
What if you’re working with audio production software? i mean i’m not a fan of it but the industry standard in studios is Mac/Logic Pro, and even people who use Ableton or Cubase are using MacOS. some people have platform specific workflows.

only the system ones. 3rd party menu bar apps aren't included in those settings.
I prefer using BetterTouchTool and the GoldenChaos-BTT plugin with the touchbar. Fitting windows in the place you want is one of about 300 nice functions.
It’s funny that people are ragging on him for saying that most people use a Mac (which is obvious comment bait), but this actually 100% my experience. As a musician I can count on one hand the number of people I’ve met in my entire life that use windows. 99% of people I’ve ever interacted with use Macs.
It depends who you’re around. For me I know a ton of people who use Linux and Windows and not as many mac users.
It’s almost like you should just use the stuff that fits your needs instead of acting like one is objectively better than the other

I use Tiles because i prefer dragging windows to snap. Not by using keyboard shortcuts
Rectangle supports that too, not sure if it always did but it does now anyways.

Hi, I have the Vanilla app just like you and I also purchased the PRO version. Unfortunately, I can't find a setting to show hidden icons under the menubar. When I want to hide more apps, I can't see them even when I open the app because of the notch.
Don't know what to do with it?

even in windows 7 i can just press win + Dpad arrow to arrange the window.
today its more modern with auto sizing Gui in windows 11.

I used both windows and mac. Lots of stuff a mac can do that windows cant and vice versa. It’s crazy that apple haven’t added the split windows option though. Its so handy, and stupid that you need to pay for a 3rd party app
windows and everything that microsoft does with it sucks. i could literally write a whole essay about everything wrong with windows. telemetry, ads in the file explorer, "windows 10 will be the last version of windows", settings and control panel are two different apps, forcing defaults onto people, etc
...and yet i still use windows because it's the only option for gaming
@@Softlolthere is a split windows option, u can drag and arrange windows sizes , or you can make one into full screen, swipe up with 3 fingers and drag the window you want to split screen into the existing full screen

If you are referring to a specific model of computer then you might be right. Just because dell, HP, Lenovo etc all sell like 15-20 different models of laptops and desktops where Apple only sells 4 laptops (used to be 3 before the 15 air) and 4 different desktops.
So from that perspective you are probably right. A MacBook Air is probably the best selling “model” of computer.
