Thanks for doing these reviews. We need more affordable motorcycles for people to ride that aren’t racers. As far as your suspension comments if you were using the full suspension travel at the speed you were going and the bumps you were hitting then that suspension would be way too soft especially if you inadvertently hit a G out or rock or other bump it’s going to be problematic. Suspension is inherently personal and it all depends on the speed and type of terrain you are going to ride. Most people end up with suspension that is too stiff and beats the crap out of them on the smaller bumps etc. most stock suspension is set up that way because it’s set up for fast riders. Hopefully bikes like this get more people into the sport! Keep up the good work
No problem! Yeah another guy said the same thing. I figured this would be the thing that got people talking, but he is right, if I were in rocks and good speed and the suspension had that travel left over then that would need some adjustment.
I didnt see any terrain where the fork should have used the whole stroke like your buddy was saying. If it's using the whole stroke on a dirt road you'd have nothing left for actual big hits
@@jonnoMoto we jetted the bike close enough to take it out for the first time. It's definitely a little rich but it had excellent throttle response, especially right off of idle. Better to be a little rich than a little lean, especially on a brand new engine. But as I said in the video, the bike would benefit from some more carb tuning. For an initial jetting on a first ride, I thought the bike performed very well.
@@tbank86q I understand. There's personal preference. I prefer it a touch lean down low. Prevents oiling up when going slow. But definitely rich up top.
I had to switch out the front tire on mine after my first ride. Washes out so easy especially in sandy terrain. Interested to see what carb changes you make.
I don’t have a lot of sand here, mostly clay and dirt, but it did pretty well! I did modify the jetting a little and it’s spot on! Keihin for the win! Dump the stock carb if you have it
I mean really it's a $7,000 bike I can't imagine it wouldn't be any good. Not really sure why there would be such an emphasis on an unbiased review. If a $7,000 bike wasn't any good it wouldn't be around very long because sales would eventually tank. 🤷♂️ it's like when I hear arguments about a 5000 to 7500 mountain bike it doesn't matter what brand it is they're all the same

Yep we’ll give it a real test soon at the Beaglebash in Canada coming up
Sounds like it's running really rich
What makes you say that? Currently on a 170 main and the plug was dark. I think it might be a little rich, but not super?
@@LCARSADV the fluffy sound at part throttle. Like the needle is too far up or too large pilot.

@@jonnoMoto exactly that, and an aggressive needle

@LCARS ADV just saw your other vid mentioning the switch to the PWK clone. For the price I might have to try one too.

Unbiased meaning a review not done by me. I do a lot of GPX videos so I could be accused of having some bias.
Okay, gotchya. @@LCARSADV
ktm 300 copy , thats why it climbs well ;;; that first bit was no more than a wide trail , my hiace van would not use all it's travel along there ,,,
Lmao nice to see someone else taking their hiace places that put the 4x4 mafias noses out of joint
