  • Ive taken Mj stock exhaust from boring to WOW!! Being on a budget I needed to find a way to create more sound from what Harley gives you. And I did it.

I recently bought a 2015 model, same color too. Came with a screaming eagle muffler fitted, minus the odd looking end plate. They do sound good with a decent "muffler". Much as I love it, 2 things irk me. The foot pegs, especially the right. My heel basically rests on the exhaust. 2nd, that whining rattling balance shaft gear. Other than that, great bike imo.

Heh brother, understand what your doing,, it's about budget,, but your wrong,,, ain't no cop gonna do an l plater for an aftermarket exhaust,, well essentially when your making the stock one sound louder anyways, so it's not stock,,, been riding for 34 years, and former cop,, for 20 years,, just not good to butcher the baffles out of a stock pipe,,, Yeh, if you wanna save coin but, better spend couple of hundred bucks on a slip on, that's factory tested for higher flow,,, and then if you go air cleaner,, your really gonna have to get a tuner,, the bikes run lean as they are, and opening a stock exhaust. Is gonna make it leaner,, let alone going the air cleaner,,, even more leaner,,,, you gonna need to pump more fuel in with a tuner,,,, but like the video,, keep it up

this is good advice to anyone watching this and worried! I did the same thing with my Harley 750 Street Rod and Harley recommended the same thing but only necessary if you do baffle and air breather kit

That’s crazy. I pulled the baffle out of my first sportster.. I had to put new jets.. I was wondering about buying one of these but I keep hearing bad things. I just want a cruiser I’m not doing any long trips anymore. I was bedridden for 10 years I’m barley trying to get back on the road. They have one of these for $3500 does anyone know if that’s good? I mean for any kind of Harley that seems great but for how low the price is and it’s so nice.. what’s the deal with this bike??? Will I get teased on it??

This is literally a complete waste of money. If you can remove the muffler then you can also remove the baffle.
    1- remove muffler
    2- remove end cap
3- lightly so as not to damage the outer shell but firmly and repeatedly tap on a block of wood, scrap carpeting/garage floor mat on the end you removed the tip from straight down and the baffle will just fall out. The only thing that holds the baffle is the end cap.
Step 1.5 remove end cap with muffler still on the bike and simply wiggle out the baffle... While this 1.5 step method seemingly "saves" a step or two it is honestly easier to do it off of the bike and saves a risk of a tip over.
The 50 dollars spent was to remove and actually alter the stock baffle which has been re-inserted into the muffler on this video.
