For me, the Street 500 is where its at. Just a simple, entry level bike that I like. I'd genuinely buy one.

It’s a excellent choice in my opinion even though most Harley riders hate it.

Harley’s May hold their value, but those front turn signals sure don’t hold their position. Those things are all wonky and asymmetrical. 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is a great video! I just recently purchased that same bike. However, can you post more in depth about what makes it a great leaner bike such as, price for other beginner riders, clutch, the torque, horse power and far as the maintenance cost of oil changes every so many miles/gas prices nto fill up and lastly like how many miles can the street 500 hold. Thank you!

It's 500pounds with 30 horses, that is Terrible most lower cc bikes will have more Horses, weigh less and overall perform better.

Thumb Thumb well I’d rather have 500 lbs with 30 ft lbs of torque that 300 lbs with 14 ft lbs of torque and a bike that holds its value better.

Awesome video, thank you. Some of us older folks also downsize to due to bad knees etc. Nerve condition in my case. I would rather ride this than nothing! Where I live 250's sell like hotcakes.

I went through my MSF in October and we’re in winter where I live. our season isn’t gonna start back up till about April but it gives me plenty of time to research which I’ve been doing since July.
I’ve narrowed down to 10 bikes and Harley Street 500 is one of the ones that’s on it. The amount of cc power on my list ranges from 110 from the navi to 500 cc of the Harley, as well as some electric bikes.
As much as I would love to go with the zero SRS, I am not sure I want to spend that much on a bike and plus it would be my first bike +1st electric anything. I don’t know much about electric but I know that zero has the perks but there’s also cons as well to owning electric. It’s definitely not a first bike, that’s more like a second or third one.
I have a navi on my list because it’s the only automatic bike that isn’t a Chinese clone. I actually was inspired to learn how to ride after seeing it. I haven’t fully decided yet on it but if I do get it I am going to want to modify it.
I learned how to ride on the grom and while I love the Grom I don’t know about owning a full manual bike.
Enter Harley Street 500 - out of all the Harleys I’ve looked at, I feel that this bike is one I could handle and probably wouldn’t get bored with because it’s not a 250 which is a good point you mentioned and it’s got enough power for my needs. I haven’t ridden one yet but I’d like to test ride one because I hear really bad reviews with this bike. Lots of people say that the shifting is horrible. It doesn’t seem so from your video. I’ve watched all the reviews of people who absolutely love this bike.
I’ve been looking at some preowned ones and I really need to ride one to really test it out to see if I like it. I did get to sit on it and rock it back-and-forth while it was off and honestly it felt comfortable. I liked it a lot so I’m really interested in checking one out.
The one thing I am wanting to do though if I am to get a Street 500 is I want to definitely put a rekluse clutch in it. That is an absolute must for me.

Here's kind of of ah noobish- sissy question..so for my first bike i came across shadow phantom 750 an every1 & every vid i looked into says its a great beginner back ..but for me the weight felt intimadating as sad as that is to say an so ended up getting rid of it,before getting to ride it,should i start from the dirt ground an be comfortable with like ahh'' 250? or is a 500 like this good, when i bought the phantom the guy really recommended i go for the 300cc or 500cc rebel since i have no experience, but i like harleys look of the street cuz they remind me of sportster an dyna's an the blacked out is just sharp,Basically you think a 500 is a good weight for a noob lol?

    • @theinfinitryda
      @theinfinitryda  Рік тому +1

Depends on the 500 and how the weight is. Some carry the weight down low which makes the bike feel lighter. I’d say go sit on some and lean them some to feel the weight. The street 500 isn’t bad but you’ll get bored with it quickly.

@@theinfinitryda i'm pretty simplicstic when it comes to bikes lol.. the fact it's a harley is good enough for me lol , but if im ever good enough to where the clutch is just second nature then sure moving up in cc would be a thing, anyway i sat on ah'' street 500 yesterday an i could visually see the size difference from my phantom to that.I kinda liked that the tank was smaller between my legs, just fet more incontrol an they had a 750 of the street next to it too, they looked the same visually but i think the 500 would be good

I have this bike. I’m about 6’1” and 190 lbs. It’s definitely on the smaller side for my size, but it’s not TERRIBLE. I kind of wish I would have gone a little bigger. Mainly because of its power. Either way, it’s a great starter bike! It will probably be my wife’s soon cause she wants to learn.
