Flat Earth is an archaic and scientifically disproven conception of the Earth's shape as a plane or disk. Many ancient cultures subscribed to a flat-Earth cosmography, notably including ancient near eastern cosmology. The model has undergone a recent resurgence as a conspiracy theory.
Love that youtube thinks that there should be an info widget disclaimer thing (from Wikipedia) explaining that the Flat Earth theory is "archaic and scientifically disproven." Duh. We're talking about Hyrule not Earth.

Correct me if I'm wrong or even very very very wrong, but aren't planets just big flat objects that are messed up with by it's own self? By messing up the spacetime around it?
@@mariotheundying I feel like this is a joke but with people nowadays you really can never tell how unhinged some things people genuinely think are real can be.
@@mariotheundying I think you're referring to those diagrams of the gravitational pull of celestial bodies, where they show the space-time continuum as a flat grid and planets as objects pushing down into the grid. Scary thing is is that the actual flat earth "community" will stumble upon this and think, 'you know what, this guy has some great ideas we can incorporate into our theories'!!!!! 😂😂😂
Incorrect, if you activate the Moon Jump glitch in Breath of the Wild and clip underneath the map, there is a point where the ground loses collision and you can simply fall through it. If you do this for long enough, you can literally fall off the planet on which Hyrule is located, and see the curvature of the planet you just fell through. I have screenshots of this to prove it.
@@hi12345m Unfortunately the glitch that allows you to fall through the map was patched in TOTK before I could try it out, but one could assume that because totk uses the same engine and base overworld as botw, the planet is still the same shape. Although technically there's no proof of that, it wouldn't make much sense if the planet was completely flattened within the 6-7 years that take place between the two games.

So in between the two games, enough time has passed for the kid to be had and reached that age.
4:40 The Earth is actually accelerating outward at 9.8m/s2 (through nuclear reactions). It's just that the gravitational field keeps "eating" space so it keeps you where you are. Similar to a black hole that keeps eating up space while a nuclear-powered rocket set up on the edge starts and remains in place, the rocket is accelerating relative to the space falling toward the center of the black hole.
The events of BOTW allowed for people to find the truth. Vah Medoh showed up, for example, and shot down Rito getting too close to the truth. They framed Ganon for this, so that they could continue to operate in the shadows!

You could calculate the angle the shadows cast on each end of the map to (at the same hour) and if the angle is consistent, Hyrule is flat. Fun fact, if you try this on real life (from one end of a state to the other) you’ll get inconsistent angles and discover Earth isn’t flat

Ironically the Zonai could've technically ultrahanded the entirety of Hyrule and moved it that way. Although on the other hand, it could technically be both at once-space itself can curve, so Hyrule could be flat while the plane it occupies is spherical.
This has got to be the funniest thing I've seen from PointCrow, and it's absolutely brilliant. Love it. My dream is now to see an actual flat earther react to this, that would elevate this skit all the way to the Zonai.
The depths being the same size is actually a pretty good way to test if hyrule is flat. All we would have to do is figure out how big the hypothetical sphere for hyrule would be and then work out how much the depths are off by
6:43 This doesn’t work. If the flat plain is attracted at 9.8 m/s^2 then you are too. Gravitational influence can be calculated by F = G*M*m/r^2. M being in this case the Zonai. This formular gives us force, but we want acceleration so applying F = ma we obtain ma = G*M*m/r^2. cancelling out m nets us with a = GM/r^2. So no matter the mass of our object, it’s acceleration is solely dependent on the mass if the Zonai.
I love that the entire time crow is going on about how Hyrule is flat he keeps saying stuff like "Now, if Hyrule were a globe, like the Earth..." like he is making it VERY clear he doesn't think the Earth is flat, just Hyrule lol

24:23 didnt a in game dialogue box show that zelda commisioned the decommision of all the shieka tech like the gaurdians and devine beasts after seeing how easily ganon took them over immediately after the events of BoTW
