Hey Dan, maitenance builds reliability but unfortunately as you have seen many owner really abuse their bikes and would rather sell it than do the work, I think most people just arent mechanicaly inclined and even as something as simple as an oil change, then wont even do it

This bike is restored at this point. I made many videos I'm just waiting on the new plastics I completed all the necessary work and read it all of the wiring on the bike. That's what we do on this channel 😉

Hey dude, awesome series its been very useful! How much spring do the caliper retaining springs need? Mine just feel totally flat and have hardly any interference with the pads?

I'm gonna be honest with your mine we're very worn out too but I just slapped them back in and they're working just fine. I don't think it really matters even if they do make a little contact with the rotor when you're not applying pressure I doubt you will even hear them and they don't seem to be wearing any differently than if the Springs were working correctly. I say send it

Remember the piston recedes back like a couple millimeters after you relieve pressure so it's not like they have much room to move around at all anyways. They are more there just for placement to help put the pads back on than anything. Go for it bro you'll be just fine

I carefully search find bikes that I see need a decent amount of love and then make my offer. I love project bikes and it helps me create more content for the channel
