Sea lions busy lounging in Kangaroo Island, South Australia - Leoni marini occupati a far niente

While visiting Adelaide, South Australia, I didn't want to miss out on a trip to Kangaroo Island, which had been described to me as an astonishing destination for its beauty and charm.
They were wrong: it's much better. It's simply indescribable! Very rarely inhabited, it has breathtaking landscapes with naturalistic oasis, absolutely incredible colors and offers the possibility of seeing wild animals in their natural habitat.
In order not to go crazy with the logistics, I signed up for an organized tour that starts at 6 in the morning and takes you back to the city around 9 in the evening. The bare minimum to see the highlights of the island which is very large. It would have been better to spend the night there and do a two day visit, maybe next time.
After gathering and the ferry ride our first stop was Sea Lion Beach. Here you were already enchanted: the blue of the ocean, the pale green of the vegetation and the gray and white of the beach create a symphony of rare beauty, in which the sea lions move (but above all sleep).
They should absolutely not be disturbed. There are walkways to walk along and we were allowed to take a few steps on the sand, always under the watchful eyes of the park wardens.
I was happy about it, after seeing the havoc made in Italy of many beautiful places. Australia can afford it because the percentage of population and tourist pressure is infinitely lower, but incalculable damage can be done in a very short period of time.
I am happy that they carefully preserve their natural treasures.

In visita ad Adelaide, nel South Australia, non volevo farmi scappare un giro a Kangaroo Island, che mi era stata descritta come meta stupefacente per bellezza e fascino.
Si sbagliavano: è molto meglio. E' semplicemente indescrivibile! Pochissimo abitata, ha paesaggi mozzafiato con osai naturalistiche, colori assolutamente incredibili e offre la possibilità di vedere animali selvaggi nel loro habitat naturale.
per non impazzire con la logistica ho aderito ad un tour organizzato che parte dalle 6 di mattina e ti riporta in città verso le 9 di sera. Il minimo indispensabile per vedere i punti salienti dell'isola che è molto grande. Sarebbe stato meglio passarci la notte e fare una visita di due giorni, sarà per la prossima volta.
Dopo esserci radunati e il viaggio in traghetto la prima tappa è stata la spiaggia dei leoni marini. Già qui c'era da restare incantati: il blu dell'oceano, il verde tenue della vegetazione e il grigio e bianco della spiaggia creano una sinfonia di rara bellezza, in cui si muovono (ma soprattutto dormono) i leoni marini.
Non vanno assolutamente disturbati. Ci sono delle passerelle in cui camminare e ci è stato permesso di fare qualche passo sulla sabbia, sempre sotto gli occhi vigili dei guardiani del parco.
Ne sono stata contenta, dopo aver visto lo scempio fatto in Italia di tanti posti bellissimi. L'Australia se lo può permettere perchè la percentuale della popolazione e la pressione dei turisti è infinitamente più bassa, ma si possono fare danni incalcolabili in un periodo di tempo molto breve.
Sono felice che preservino accuratamente i loro tesori naturali.
