Instead of Samsung T5, I opt for an NVMe enclosure with built-in cable that can house whatever M.2 SSD I prefer, like 970 EVO Plus, which is even faster and can be used as a boot drive as well.

May I ask what data rates/compression ratios you can record at? What is the particular enclosure that you use? I have been thinking about trying this. Lately I've had problems recording with conventional 500 gb ssd's in Ugreen enclosures for clips over about 25 minutes at 12:1 30 fps. I believe it's a buffer issue. Thanks!

I found a Visiontek enclosure that's about the size of a vape pen. I then found a PCIe dock I use on my editing rig from ICYdock. I can take my NVMe out of the Visiontek and place it in the ICYdock for blazing speed!!

@@JonathanPalfrey My point remains tho. The 6K is exactly the same camera minus ND filters and screen. As is the case with the G2 yet somehow the 6K is forgotten. It's just curious how people work.
My take on it is that when the 6K came out all the 4K owners got frustrated and decided it wasn't worth the upgrade to justify their investiment in the 4K. Enough time passed when the Pro came out and it was suddenly worth the upgrade.
I had the 4K and got the 6K when it came out. Haven't looked back.

@@TheFilmmakingChannel yeah I know my personal issue with the 6K at the time was the fact they hadn’t upgrade the battery, hence the Pro being more attractive. It was also quite soon after the 4K so I guess a lot of people didn’t feel ready to upgrade.

I've been thinking about switching for a while. I shoot so many weddings and have gone through several USB-C cables. It's starting to cost a little too much to replace them especially the Kondor Blue ones. Those go out pretty quick. Luckily during the failure of one recently, I had a spare close by.
C-Fast just seems like the way to go.

Hi, I recently got my bpmcc4k, I'm using Samsung T7 SSD. But the problem is somehow I can't record higher resolution than raw 12:1, and the camera keep dropping frames. And the other problem is I can review my footage on camera, but I can't review some of it on my Mac, I'm frustrated. Is it because the camera is second handed? I'm going CFast. It's expensive but small. I have the Samsung T5 and I don't care what they say, it's just too bulk especially with a rig and cables. The 6K Pro is a dreadfully unbalanced camera and a rig inhibits creativity and portability. Life and action happens inn realtime so speed wins everytime.
