Welcome to The Frey Life vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

When my youngest was a toddler, I had to invent the "stop" game with him whenever we were outside because he wanted to run so much. He was allowed to run until I called "stop" and then I continued to call out instructions like "clap your hands" "stamp your feet" "turn around" and a bunch of others until I caught up to him and then I would say "ok, you can run" and we'd start all over again. I'm still very proud of myself for this game, although I've discovered it isn't working quite as well with my grandchildren who, like me, don't like being given instructions!! For some reason my mother finds this hilarious... 😊
Mary running with the stroller and Elijah on her hip is the most joyous thing i've seen in a long time. She's so in her element. And also, how it fills my heart with joy that she's able to do that!

She only ever used the wheelchair when she was medically exhausted so now that she’s on Trikafta her lungs are doing so much better and she can go more places without taking the wheelchair with her. ❤

Such a blessing how her life has changed, makes me so happy to see this beautiful family, that they have been able to adopt and foster children instead of just focusing on Mary's illness.
