The key to this hunt was being patient and letting the turkeys come to you. Don’t over due your calling!
Probably the best advice for anyone. They hang up all the time when people tend to over call
I've been hunting really hard in Missouri on public I've been on this bird twice had him at 45 today just couldn't get it done I'm going to switch up my approach the next couple days and hopefully I can get my first turkey I've learned a lot from you guys
Check out #falllinelegion if you dont mind ryan! Give em a watch!
Good luck buddy!
I hope you bag that sneaky joker
Where at in mo

Boy... last year was my first year, and I got close thanks in large part to learning from THP. I was stoked for this year, but I wound up missing out due to the birth of my second kid. So I'm not complaining. But to Patrick's comment, this is exactly what I had been dreaming of since last year. I know deer season is coming up before you know it, but I sure am fired up for spring after watching this one. Thank you all for capturing and sharing this moment.
I’m glad you guys show and follow the 3 P’s: Make a PLAN, carefully PREPARE, and have the PATIENCE to let it work. Some folks would have been up and gone to find another bird by “running with gun”. You let turkeys be turkeys and worked your plan.
I killed a tom last weekend without having roosted him by setting up in a spot with known activity, calling occasionally, watching a couple hens who were hanging around the area and staying patient. At 915 I heard the first gobble. Within 15 minutes a pair of trolling gobblers found me and at 930 my tag was filled.
Let turkeys be turkeys.
Thanks for another great Turkey Tour video!
Was calling to a bird at daylight, soft yelps and rubbing a wing I carry against bark of tree, Gobbler had been chased by many people, but he loved the wing rubbing and was gobbling hard. A torrential downpour came and I was soaked through even my underwear. I went home and came back about 5 hours later. Found the hole in logging road where my decoy had been at daylight, knelt to put back in same spot, and broke a limb with my knee. He gobbled 20 yards below logging road, and about blew my head off! Busted him. He had pinpointed my location, and had just came in 5 hours later. One of my favorite hunts ever. Their skills of pinpointing you are amazing,
Love you guys. That footage is so good I had to donate! What you’re doing is great. Love seeing you collaborating with the smart guys working to save these birds!
Congratulations Patrick. Thanks for all you do for wild turkey research.
Ya'll are having an awesome Turkey tour, good luck the rest of the season!
Great footage Greg!
Now Aaron's got skills at multi tasking, calling and abiding by a nature call.🗣🚹🦃. Would that be a nature call or call of the wild? Both I guess.
Congrats Patrick, great timing on the shot. It's the 11th commandment, "though shalt not hesitate" just makes me smile.
Thank you for another great hunt and display of teamwork. Top notch guys!
Born and raised in Central KY. Remember when the first ever Turkey Season was opened. Thank you guys for what you are doing to help forward turkey research in KY and everywhere. I have said it many times, if it was not for turkey hunters and hunters in general they would be no turkeys to hunt. I can remember the first release in my home area of turkeys. Bought and paid for by funding strictly from hunters. I was president of the local NWTF chapter for few years, and not a finer bunch of gentlemen, hunters, and all around good people. I am getting older and hope that the younger generation carries on the torch. Which looks like you guy are. Thanks
This video was flat out awesome and Greg killed that footage!
Congratulations guys. I'm going turkey hunting for the first time tomorrow. I have no experience, no idea what I'm doing, but I'm definitely going to give it my best shot. Thanks for the educational videos.
It's about that time again!
@@Last_Chance. let's gooo
Great entertaining show. Appreciate yous guys! Helps me get through my day.
Love the shows with Aaron and Greg. Straight up knowledge. Like watching Ted and Jake learn too. Zack...
Great to see Patrick reap some of the rewards of his work and research!
I really like that you said You wish everyone can get a chance to experience Turkey hunting or anything hunting We gotta get the youth involved in the outdoors especially urban inner city youth
Great content and Greg did a fantastic job filming into the sunrise!
Always impressive footage and knowledge! Keep up the great work
Amazing hunt! Love the detailed explanation. Patience and faith in the setup keeps me killin birds. Love what THP is doing.
Saturday was the pa youth hunt my buddy's son got one and that's the first time I hunted turkeys with someone since 08 it's a blast I love hunting alone but it's a blast with family and friends too!!! Great hunt congratulations!!
Congrats on a beautiful Tom there Patrick. I was thinking that those turkeys were going to pop up over that hill and see your breath coming out from under your mask. Musta been a chilly morning. Awesome footage as usual fellas. Be safe out there.
Congratulations nice bird. Keep up with the good work . Thanks to all for sharing..
Loving the turkey tour guys keep up the 🔥🔥 vids!!!
Another awesome video guys! I’m pumped for vermonts opener Sunday!!
I love seeing people care about the turkeys, and work to keep them producing for years to come
Beautiful footage that couldn't of been any more perfect keep er going boys
Can't wait for the West Virginia episode! Born and raised there, it took me three years to kill my first turkey there!! Those mountain birds can be tough .#THP💯🔥
At the 14 minute mark, titmice and ovenbirds are singing, and bam! The big spring bird let's his presence known. Awesome!
Season opens this Sunday in New York!! I’m fired up and these videos are the perfect fuel to feed it!!
Great job as usual! Y’all are experts at your craft.
The turkeys in Wisconsin are gobbling there heads off but most of them have hens still , say thanks congrats to Patrick for me! Love what you guys are doing
Glad to see y’all made it! It’s great to see the bluegrass state treated y’all good! Congrats on the camp bird!! Keep up the great work fellas! Hopefully y’all be back in the fall!
Another awesome hunt, thanks for sharing!!
Way to lay that hammer down Patrick!!! What a beautiful morning hunt and an even more beautiful bird! Can’t wait for the next one! Taking the next week off for myself to hopefully get on one.
Wow the lighting was awesome, you guys do great video work👍🏻
Epic! Keep up the great work!
Seeing that fan pop out on that crest was beautiful! Good work boys!
Another Great Hunt and Video! Thanks Men!
Great Hunt..Enjoyed again..
Love the tactic videos extremely helpful👍👍
Checking in boys love to see it love the voice over lol 🔥🔥
Now if I could call as good as y'all do, I'd be set! Thanks guys. Tomorrow is the third day of our season, looks like there is going to be some snow on the ground, this will be interesting and a first for me here in southern Ontario
Doubled up on a pair of long beards in NW Ohio using Woodhaven calls I bought last year after following THP on UA-cam, had them come running to the calls!!! P.S. love this UA-cam channel keep up the good work!!!
This intro takes the cake for the season IMO! Awesome stuff!
This was a great episode, got the feeling I was there! Thanks guys!
Patrick, your eyes about popped out when you heard that gobbler. Congrats on a beautiful bird,
Dang that got my heart pounding. Great hunt guys. Congrats. PA season starts Saturday. Can’t wait.
Love hunting in big woods, they’re still pretty quiet up here in ohio because they’re henned up. Going out Friday-Sunday and hoping they’re getting off the hens a little by then.
same in Indiana
Hmm Bw
Sounds like everyone is experiencing that right now. We got one roosted tonight in Indiana ready for opening day tomorrow!
Congratulations! Beautiful bird and hunt.
Awesome job T. H. P. Just incredible
Yessir! Thanks for the tips fellas.
Great hunt and even better info. No need to call until set up in ideal location of where you want to call the bird to. Otherwise you risk the bird staying on the limb forever or going to the location you started calling from, instead of your final setup.
Heck yah got excited watching y'all last video watch curly video from y'all group just now good luck on your next hunts
I've heard that Kentucky has some of the best turkey hunting , What do yawl think. Great video!!!!!😊
Blessed to have had a successful spot and stalk in Mi today thanks to every tip I’ve learned from y’all over the year
Nice footage! Things are just starting to pick up here in Wv. You should be hitting it at the right time.
The camera quality is alot better in this video then the last two. Looks really great.
Awesome! Nicely done!!
Beautiful setting for a great hunt.
Picture perfect morning an Holy Smokes did that turkey read the script or what. Great footage an congrats on the hunt Patrick.
That is super cool, me and my dad just tagged out in Michigan I got mine a couple days ago and he got his tonight 2 nice Tom’s
Great show, thanks for letting me in on it.👍🦃🇺🇸
Good teamwork as always with THP
Right on fellas. I filled my second tag today so that's a wrap for 2022 here in Ontario
That's awsome guys , congrats.!
That's good stuff right there Good job
Man that drumming was getting deafening! The anticipation of hearing a bird drumming and knowing they are super close without being able to see them is what it's all about. Awesome video as usual!
These types of videos have been super helpful to me, I got close to 5 gobblers last weekend on opening weekend here in Michigan. I’m headed back to the same area this weekend wish me luck!
ya gotta hunt where the game is!
Gorgeous hunt👍
Never been hunting before, never really had the patience for it. But, this was a really interesting watch. Good work!
it does take a LOT of patience, physical effort and major determination and confidence...but its worth it!
Great hunt. Nice turkey. I been hunting public land in Arkansas. Been hunting almost everyday. I heard a jake gobble 1 time. Not much turkey sign. Next yr going for a week in Tn and Ky. I just live a few hrs from both KY and TN state lines. Going to try my 410's out on some hill birds.
Congrats! I know I got a biased opinion but nothin beats gobblers in the open hardwoods in the middle of the mountains in West Virginia, Kentucky or the like its where I grew up hunting em. Awesome hunt
good hunt guys!
You were one county away from me, congrats on IMO the toughest birds to kill. Eastern Mountain Gobblers. Cool hunt
What county
Congratulations Patrick
I'm a huge fan of this channel and a ky resident. Just wondering what county yall were hunting in? Stay away from Beaver Creek wma ! You will get youre vehicles broken into and all equipment stolen. Just a friendly tip! Keep up the great work. Love the videos!
Great hunt fellas we still hunting them thunder chickens here in tn
Good hunt Patrick
Awesome hunt guys I jus tagged out day before yesterday here in WV hope you guys have the same luck down here👊🏻
good luck in wv. I haven't got to get yet but the turkey numbers in the north central part of the state seem to be down the last couple years.
Soooo awesome to see 1 of the researchers out hunting with you guys! And have a successful hunt! Where's the BRO crew footage! Instagram posts tell the tale. Need to see the end game! #THP4LIFE
Great video!
The intro sounds like Bill Winke on Midwest whitetail.. love it
OFF THA CHAINS guys! AMAZING video!
Not sure I missed this episode, but I was working while it was playing and just heard drumming. I stopped working and listened. Very good video and exceptional audio.
I killed a banded gobbler in 2021 that had one 3/4 inch spur and a slick leg on the other. He was banded as an adult on 2/14/17. So, he was at least 5.
There was another gobbler a few feet behind the one you shot. You can see a glimpse of its fan seconds before you shoot.
Great video! This channel is awesome. Gotta ask this question. What is happening when Im not hearing gobbles? This is my first year spring turkey hunting and am just loving it. But getting frustrated with how quiet things are. Getting nothing walking around the woods using locator calls. I see signs but they seem unresponsive in MD.
Probably Henned up. Have to be patient and try them again in a few more days
What time do you roost turkeys at? a certain amount of time before dark/sunset and how does wind come into play?
Glad yall was successful in Kentucky. I am still carrying my tags in my pocket but the season aint over yet. Wish me luck
Good luck!
Dagnabbit. Wish I knew where you guys were going to be on the 28th of April. I would love to meet you guys. I live here in WV. I got the day off and going to hunt me a turkey. My blood is hot just to sit back and watch you guys work on a turkey. I am older now and killing a turkey is fun but watching the younger hunters is my fun. You guys go get them.
When our y’all going to hunt in Arkansas. Love y’all videos keep them coming. God Blessed y’all and be safe and careful out there.
Great hunt. We could use Patrick in Pa. doing research.
Damn nice bird. Congrats!
Been trying to find the vest Aaron Warbritton is wearing in this video. can we get a link or does anyone know where I can purchase one??
I am 14 and just shot my first turkey. It was in idaho. I really did not call as much as I should have. It was a tom with an 8.5 inch beard. It was about average.
Take y’all catch a turtle in exchange to come hunt with y’all! Lol.
you have to come to PA and hunt birds
Are you guys planning on hunting any birds in pa next week at all?
Gotta get those tape measures out on those #longbirds!
