With zero intention of doing it, I invariably have to 'school' the clerk on which tag is for what, only after 20 minutes to hear them declare the computer system is down.... I just smile and walk away.
@@TheScourge-sg5vv i have given up on Walmart and will go to the town clerk every year. A much better experience. That wouldn't help these boys on a Saturday morning, though.
It never gets old seeing that old 870! That is what I started out with. Awesome job showing up and having a few turkeys on the ground in just a couple of hours.
Man this’ll get you fired up for the season! Heck of a morning there. The whole time you guys were talking over the first bird I was saying to myself “that other bird is probably closing the distance” 😂😂😂
It blows my mind that these guys with the awesome content/ photography, respect for the Wildlands and effort to pursue game, and teach others about how to be successful in the field; that they don't have a million subscribers. Let's give it up for THP! 👏 And help them make 1 million subscribers!
@@timwilcoxsr2712 I’m in Lackawanna right by the bills stadium, 9c zone. Newer Hunter, I seen on the dec website you can Turkey hunt in 9c though. May be looking at some spots, we got a TON of birds by my house
Man, nothing better than these timber hunts without a decoy. That is my absolute favorite game to play. I have a long wait here in PA but I’m already chomping at the bit.
Great work fellas!! I always found the public land NY birds to be very sneaky like this one and hesitant to come in, they like to hang up at 60-80 yds and play games to make the hens go to them always up the mountains unless you find farm fields which I rarely find. Enjoyed this video right before heading to NJ this am for a bird hopefully! And to double up was just awesome!!!
Southern tier of ny hunter here glad to see you guys make it back to ny. Also my 92 year old grandfather a huge turkey hunter he also makes box calls and everyone in my family who has killed a turkey in the last 19 years has used one he has sold quite a few
Just got my gobbler yesterday morning on opening day in Georgia. Double bear 11 1/2 and 4 3/4 with 3/4 inch spurs. Either a great way to start a terrible way. Definitely excited.
Morning like that makes up for a lot of those" Well it almost worked " days. Hard work and the stars aligned. Well done. That day will be remembered forever for your three. Experience and reading the area paid off
at 32 years old i just harvested my first turkey yesterday morning, on public land in NY, right down the road from my house. he was a light one, and exactly half of his fan was apparently lost and still growing back - pretty cool to see even if it wont make for a good mount. i do plan to display the 9.5 inch beard though, and maybe try some sort of project with the feathers he did have. anyway, the whole reason for this comment is that i thought of this particular video immediately after my hunt - specifically Aaron, with the "drove all night, walmart at 7 o'clock, 9 o'clock dead!" 😂😂 (because i badly overslept, hit the road at 7:15, and by 7:40 - dead!) it was a very quick hunt but memorable nonetheless. since nobody i know hunts turkey, your videos have been my primary teacher, so i have you guys to thank for my success. i really appreciate all the knowledge you share with us all.
Wow! You could see the release, the decompression, the relief when that first bird was down. All the driving, the sleep dep., all the minutiae you guys were carrying on your shoulders just melted away. We all know that feeling but I have never hunted with the added difficulty of filming. Trying to move three guys into position....I have rarely done that and I have never depended on my hunting skills to take care of my family like you guys do. The elation must be incredible. Thanks for these wonderful videos. I feel like I am sitting right in the middle of you guys. Be safe. Keep them coming.
What a great hunt… Watching all three of you get along so well and have a great time… The long road trip… No sleep… And double on Tom’s! Congratulations! Can’t wait for the season to start here in Wisconsin 2024 Mikey of Waukesha🦃
What a WILD hunt!!! Man that was intense! The drumming from both of those turkeys, my gracious! Thank God for the wild turkey, absolutely awesome guys!
Just incredible! I love watching you boys navigate whilst completely delerious and sleep deprived! It’s hilarious! The whole time y’all were celebrating Warbs bird I was thinking…Hey! There’s another one RIGHT THERE!!!
Wow!!! That was like Ted said “Awesome!” Sleep deprived pure fun. Pumped for April/May in Michigan now! Can’t wait

So awesome! This is probably my favorite turkey video from you guys in a long time. So comical, you killed them on my birthday, and the Tyler Childers song at the end. Good luck this season👍🏻
Just love your videos guys I am from ontario canada and we have the same set up here no fields and lots of brush since I am a first time to hunter of these guys , You proved we can do it with that much brush. good luck this year.
Excellent morning in New York!!! Y'all need to find a vendor to make a collectable series of THP bobblehead action figures!!! Those would probably sell like hot cakes!! LOL
Great hunt! I am in my late 50s and cannot hear the spit/drum anymore. It is a huge advantage to identify those sounds, and be ready. They don’t always come in gobbling
Awesome video guys congratulations warb and Ted 😊 I'm from right here in Central New York and we do have some beautiful woods that work well for calling I myself don't like really open hardwood's either You guys had the perfect scenario Thanks for sharing you're awesome hunt
I'm a Western NY hunter. The woods look similar in my area. I'd love to run and gun with you boys. Sometimes it takes days and sometimes it takes an hour. What a fun hunt! Getting me fired up, fellas!
That’s Gloversville Walmart in upstate NY, Cool to see you hunt local state land that I have the ability to hunt! Crazy hunt and Congrats on the birds!
Awesome hunt guys. I also hunt New York but really struggle to find Toms on public land though. I always seem to find hens but can never get on male turkeys. What do you guys look for on on x or on foot that is like the main factor in finding turkeys and really toms in New York?
While Ted's bird was the icing on the cake, I gotta tell you, Warb's encounter was captivating. The suspense and anticipation. I have never felt that adrenaline watching a hunt like this piece. I had the same feeling, or dang near, as I have had for real. If one of your goals is to bring the hunt to us, as if we were there sharing the experience, you have succeeded. Well done.
New york is the city that never sleeps. Maybe the hunting public should be the hunters that never sleep . You boys were silly on this hunt. Great stuff.
Yall make the ABSOLUTE BEST videos!!! A topic for another GREAT video, in my opinion, would be for you guys to show and explain your turkey shotgun setups. By covering the choices of shotgun makes, models, guage, chokes and constrictions, turkey load brands, shot sizes, shell length, patterns out of each gun, max ethical range for each setup and load, and the "Why" for the choices yall made, you would educate many new hunters on ethical decisions and choices. On my first turkey hunt, I shot at a longbeard at 55 yds, with a 3", shot #5 Remington Nitro Turkey load, only to see him thrash for a second and then fly away. Very bad and unetical! But I didn't have anyone to teach me. But a video like this would have kept me, and probably many other new hunters, from making unethical choices and shots. Also, another topic could be "Dos and Don'ts", like shooting at turkeys through brush, (which I personally learned the hard way, but that's another story...).I don't if you guys read comments, but I will keep posting this under the latest videos until you see it. Please respond somehow, so that I wouldn't have to keep posting it indefinitely! Thank you very, very much for such great content!
Trying to find someone that works in sporting goods at Walmart is like trying to find sasquatch.
I disagree. I have seen Sasquatch.😂

Nice entry, get your next two on exit in tne Empire State (end of May) and you will have a bit more of my respect .. Excellent birds regardless.
How far in a wooded area can you hear the drumming and is the spit, which is associated with the drumming the same distance
