For those of you asking about the factory controls, I'd assume you need a idatalink maestro rr to retain steering wheel controls, I have one on my tundra and an aftermarket pioneer HU, I am able to control some car functions from within the pioneer headunit with the maestro.
All steering wheel and backup camera controls are still retained using the Metra piece. The factory radio controls will no longer be used because you will use the controls of the actual new radio. You can also control it with the steering wheel controls
Will this kit work with a pioneer 4500 nex, and is there a module to bypass the parking break sensor so when I mirror my screen to the radio it will continue while the break is off, really hate to have to have a wire running through the car after everything else looks so clean
@@octanetvchannel thanks for that info, I'm gonna look into it for sure. My 2013 needs a major upgrade and thanks to this video, I finally see a way how. And if I can get the stereo I want
I have a few more question for you guys, is there a way to retain the factory Bluetooth mic and not have to run one that comes with the head unit? And what wires do I splice into to use the factory back up camera?
Does the factory stereo controls on the dash do anything now? I will be doing an aftermarket install on my daughters cts soon, so thanks for the video! It will be a huge help.
If you have the steering wheel control module the steering wheel controls will still work. All the AC controls and heater controls still work but anything that is associated with the radio stock will not work because the radio is removed
Depends on what people charge per hour but typically this will take us about 3 to 4 hours depending on the features we are trying to keep. Some will take 4 to 6 hours if you're looking to add all the full features

What is preventing you from using the original top cover that matches the dash?
if i order a prewired kit for my 2010 cadilac cts and radio/trim will i still need to splice anything?
You should not have to cut anything
How you made yours a/c control s works with the aftermarket radio
The old stock radio controls do u have to re use them since they serve no purpose now like could u leave them out and just close the opening?
???

I might have one actually. Email me octanetvonline@gmail.com
How did you get the backup camera to work?
do all the buttons on the steering wheel as well as underneath the stereo work? like ac controls and radio buttons?

@@TM4187 you won't lose any features as long as you buy all the modules
What's the cost of the upgrade for a 2013 CTS?
Hi just curious, but how much should I expect to pay for an installation like this? Just for reference. Thanks!
