Great review! Does the higher capacity versions of this drive have the same read and write speed? I'd like to get the 4 tb version of this drive but I'm unsure if it'll perform as good as the one you have.
vuthina roeun the one with is a 3,5" drive is powered, the other physically smaller 2,5" drive (not smaller in terms of capacity tho) is powered through USB only
It actually gives me more confident that Seagate now own Samsung's hard drive division... I think I'll get this one since its.. Strongly cheaper than the 1tb hard drive. Hopefully it's compatible with my PlayStation 3! at £58 roughly.. It's a bargain! Amazon.co.uk

Watch movies etc. Mostly I need it to be compatible so I can watch video, store and view pictures and listen to music on it... Through my PS... N yeah game storage Also. The PlayStation offers far more than just a gaming device... You should own one even if you have no desire /intention to play games. I go online, watch Netflix, 4OD, Iplayer, UA-cam and many other things on it.. I'm sure you have more TV service in the US than we do in the UK. Point is PS can be used as far more than just a gaming product. :)

If n when I choose to alow my brain to get hijacked I like it have some control over the elements... I choose what I watch and I, like ***** don't like to be advertised to... So I've not watched live TV.
I connect mine to one. It does depend on how good your tv is as to what videos play of course. Can also connect it to a android tv box. I find the lower versions of android work better as the newer version doesn't always detect the hard drive.
NYC Kali There is a low whirr when it is reading. The clicks are fairly loud compared to my laptop hard-drive. The vibration dampening is alright but when it is on my table, the noise is amplified. Overall the noise isn't a turn-off but if you like whisper quiet there are others out there mind you they are likely to be slower than this one.

I just exchanged it 3 times and still not working, my outlets are working fine too. wtf is going on?
