Glad you took the time to play this game. A second playthrough on your own time is definitely a must. There's so many questions that have probably been answered but get lost in all the other mind shattering reveals.

There really is a lot to organize mentally with this game. I’ve watched another let’s play of this game (I finished the game a couple weeks before this upload) and it was a lot of fun rewatching the events knowing where everything was going to lead. I was able to place a lot of the flashbacks in order respective of other events, as well as realizing which character stories are taking place before or after other ones. I do want to replay it myself someday as well, because I feel like I’m not tired of this story yet.

Fun fact that scene at the end where you see the new earth was suppose to have everyone standing there to reflect the title screen but was scrapped because it would have ruined the moment to have a bunch of naked butts hanging out.
Ida and Ms Morimura were back because even though they died, their data was still stored in sector 0 so when the world got reset to before the invasion they came back as well.
The whole BJ and Izumi coming out to the real world was that they are AI and in turn their consciousness would be in Juro and Minami’s nanomachines. Kinda like how Izumi as Kyuta was able to interact with Juro during the story.

    • @bunnytails
      @bunnytails  2 роки тому +2

Okay, that scene with all the naked butts really would have had a whole different vibe and I’m glad they decided not to go that route. Lol
The fact that morimura, Izumi and all the other AI’s survived and have a chance to have a body in the future makes me extremely happy. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.

@@bunnytails Yeah! This really is the best case scenario for any games I’ve seen. If you’re still wondering about the pods and bodies of previous loops, when a loop occurs and everyone dies, their bodies are broken down and re created from square one.
An F.A.Q people ask is that if they were in pods this whole time, how can we can see scars, glasses, and hair ornaments when we see them in the pods during the battles. The answer is that universal control was using AR and putting filters over everyone (like Snapchat) so the group wouldn’t question anything.
I could explain the whole plan that Kengo Oogata and Morimura had in 2188, unless you want to figure that out yourself. Honestly, I always hate it when let’s plays end and just don’t want the discussions to stop!

@@pandanoko729 Discussions discussions! All the discussions! Tell me about Ogata and Morimura's plan.
Also I remembered one of the things I wanted clarification on. Shiba kept pushing Juro to go to Shu's house. I know that Juro let Shu borrow a movie that showed him some of Ida's memories. Was giving Shu video tapes the reason he wanted Juro there? And if that's the case, what exactly was he trying to accomplish?
Or maybe he just wanted Juro away from home so he could talk to Megumi as Fluffy?
      Maybe both?

@@bunnytailsSo, starting with Kengo. He supported Project Ark for his second chance at life. However, Gouto (2188) canceled the plan so he could hide the evidence of the slush fund he took (using Project Ark as a cover). Kengo soon died of old age and Morimura used an AI of Kengo to help her with the project. AI Kengo tells Morimura to sell the nanomachines on the black market for funding, completely knowing what will happen. That’s right, Kengo brought about the end of the world so there could be a reason for Project Ark to be established and in turn he could have a new life. The plan of Ark was to first have everyone live in the simulation for 18 years and then have the 2 years of training in the pods. Kengo and Morimura planned to download their data/AI to Nenji and Iori once they hit 18, probably killing/erasing Nenji and Iori. The reason Morimura wanted this was because she believed they needed an experienced leader that would prevent them from killing each other like in the shootout. With Kengo selfishly wanting a second chance at life. However, Shinonome (2188) stopped that by implementing the Deimos code. After the shoot out which left only her and Ida alive she wanted to perform a lovers suicide with him. Only for Ida to basically go “I’m not dying for you. I’m dying in my own terms.” Which either leads to him killing himself or Shinonome killing him. Either way she was broken and the sole survivor which then leads to the tape Yuki and Shinonome (present) witness. The Deimos would be summoned in 16 years, 2 years before the planned AI download, then a loop occurs which prevents Kengo and Morimura’s plan from coming to fruition.
Shiba kept pushing Juro to to hang out with Shu to show him memories of Ida without anyone to interrupt. Remember the scene of Juro and Shu at his place but from Shu’s perspective Juro was acting weird, especially when giving the tape “it’s made for you, and for me” this was more Shiba controlling Juro since he has no recollection of that when playing from Juro’s perspective. And as I’m writing this I realized the goal of this was probably to show Shu about Ida’s motivations and giving him the info necessary to stop Ida ruining everything as well as possibly stop Ida from taking over Shu through transferring memories.
If there’s anything you’re still confused about or need clarification please tell me. I’d be more then happy to share!

    • @pandanoko729
      @pandanoko729 2 роки тому

@@bunnytails Oh and no Kyuta did not want Juro at Shu’s to speak to Yakushiji, in fact it would have the opposite effect. Fluffy was using Juro as a projector to appear in front of Yakushiji since she also has nanomachines, anytime we see fluffy, Juro is nearby. When Juro gets taken by Okino and Hijiyama it’s safe to assume that range he can project is the school campus. So Yakushiji wouldn’t be able to talk to fluffy if Juro is at Shu’s place since she would be at the Kurabe House.
Sorry about the extra comment, there was already a wall of text on the last one and I have no idea about character limits in YT mobile.

Too bad the combacts were a little to simple for me: intense difficulty from the very benning and only had to re-do 2 or 3 part1 missions for S Rank, with zero total defeats... But it was fun either way!!

i was introduced to 13 sentinels and wanted to take an initial look on the game as many people highly .
And thats how i found your channel bunny as most videos were just pure gameplay with no one talking about it, the game instantly got me hooked to watch more.
Thank you for your videos! It has been YEARS since i've actually watched any playthrough from start to finish and im so glad i did for this one. it has been just as amazing to be able to share this experience with so many others, a truly wild and fantastic ride that had quite an ending that i didnt expect. (man i wished i can see more of the reality in the future)
I'd never guessed that i'd enjoy the english voice acting in this game especially since its so heavily based on japanese culture.
It's also about this time that i heard the news of the passing of Billy Kametz (voice of nenji ogata) and its absolutely devastating, yet im glad that he managed to eternalize himself with his voices in video games like this one (and it was absolutely stunning performance)

although i doubt you'll ever see this comment,
As someone who thoroughly enjoys a good narrative and JRPG elements, i strongly suggest checking out the trails series as it'll be an incredible emotional roller coaster. It has set such a high bar for me for video games that not many can reach but 13 sentinels definitely did in its own way :P hope you'll get to experience the marvel of narrative video games soon!

Thank you for such kind words! It really makes me happy to share my love of this game with others who also love it. To hear that you were able to sit through this playthrough when it's not something you normally do puts a big smile on my face.
And just so you know, I read each and every comment! How else can I gush about how amazing games are with people!?
The Trails series is something that I've been really wanting to play but.. have been too scared to take the plunge because of how huge it is... I hate jumping in in the middle of a series so to start from the beginning would be a HUGE time investment when I already feel like I have not nearly enough time. This is the curse of someone who likes so many different genres of games, one of them being JRPGS which are usually LONG AF... So that doesn't help. But I've heard so much high praise for the story. I've also played a few of the Ys games, and they have some of my favorite soundtracks in gaming. I've heard Trails has an OST just as good if not better. Basically.. I'm currently working my way through the Yakuza/Judgement series. I have made it a point to not consider starting another long ass series until I finish those...
And RIP Billy. Nenji was possibly my favorite character of this whole game (though it's hard to say for sure since they are all amazing) so his passing really stings...

    • @teckleedeyi
      @teckleedeyi 2 роки тому

@@bunnytails Simply amazing effort on your part, kudos to you bunny!
Am very glad to hear you played through ys, it is the franchise that got me to know falcom.
As for trails I fully understand, that's the reason most people don't give the series a shot due to the perceived commitment of finishing and playing through all the games, that alongside your role as a streamer will certainly make it very difficult for you to even agree to start it.
Yet i must do my best to market this franchise as a fan haha
The trails series is known to be one long running interconnected series which IS true but what's also true is that many of the sub series are entirely possible to play standalone. Imagine marvel movies where they introduce a new hero, those are usually standalone and people can get maximum enjoyment even with no background knowledge. so similarly that is true too, in particular trails in the sky first chapter (if you don't mind graphics like the older ys games such as origins, you'll definitely strongly recommended to start here) and trails of cold steel 1 (the later series that has a lot more modern themes and actual 3D graphics)
There are other entries that are suboptimal starting points but in my honest opinion once u get hooked to the series this curse we speak of will turn into a great blessing.
As for the streamer aspect, the games has been streamed before by some decently sized twitch streamers before and honestly the main chunk of the long game comes from talking to all the npcs in the game which are completely optional. To put it in perspective I spent about 100+hours in the cold steel 1 and my friend barely spend 30 and is nearing the end. I think it's potentially viable as long as you pace yourself and not commit to finishing the series when u start but develop the love for the franchise so you will do so willingly yourself (this are 2 very different things imo)
If things don't work out for streaming perhaps try it on your free time haha what am I saying streamers don't have free time am I right
Alright enough rambling and sales pitch I hope you get to experience a form of narrative that's truly only possible because of the structure of the series(and its GODDAMN INSANE OSTS)

God I had to wait so long to watch this episode cause I wanted to end stage 3-10 with an S rank and objectives achieved on Intense, so I kept resetting when it felt like my strats were subpar. Now that I've finished the game, I can watch this now. The credits scenes made me smile like a dummy while teary-eyed. I love how the game ends with an appeal to humanity instead of doubling down on the sci-fi elements.
I have to say, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is definitely among my top 3 favorite games of all time (my undisputed goat still being Persona 5 Royal). A masterclass in narration. Hopefully the Switch port will open more people to it. Such an underappreciated masterpiece.

I don't really know what to say about this I'm actually glad you had a ton of mystery files unlocked and was able to read delaying the end of your video I say it a lot but this is exactly what I'm talking about each and every time I say most people would have played this game uploaded it but would have instantly finished with the end of the game and what was happening with everyone returning to 1985 was very very emotional I literally did cry seeing miwako and BJ I could hardly see the screen I seriously never thought I would or could get attached to a metal box but he was such a beautiful character for the game and so was miwako I loved that girl she was so sweet and awesome but getting back to my point of how you do things had you ended your video at the end I wouldn't have been able to type this there was a lot of emotions happening at once so by you taking the time and actually completing everything it bought me some time to allow things to sink in
Now for the video that battle has to be the craziest thing I've ever seen in a video game it didn't seem like it was ever going to end at point I was thinking we'll is like hellblade we're you are actually supposed to not fight but I figured no it's just a time based battle and you just need to wait it out but damn that thing was intense
The entire pod scene was so beautifully done the way they could actually be with one another for the first time ever for real was so beautiful and that scenery was so gorgeous to think they actually had to find a place make sure it was safe to inhabit and actually built that planet to look that beautiful was so awesome

Miwako and BJ at the end there was the best thing ever! Such touching moments. The whole ending was great for me. Sometimes games are real good until the end comes and the end is just disappointing that everything leads up to a short cutscene and that's it. What I appreciated about this ending is that they included literally every character, even Wajima. Everyone got acknowledged and we weren't left to wonder about what happened to anyone.
The fact that the whole game is drawn in a particular 2d style and with the muted colors makes the scene where you can see real outside world for the first time so beautiful. The colors were brightened, the drawing was so detailed, the plants blowing in the breeze, and the fact that you could see so much depth there compared to the flat view of everything else was so amazing. It really felt like stepping out into the real world for the first time even for me as a player. It was so well done.
I am 100% pleased with this game from start to finish. I don't think I'll ever play another quite like it anytime soon.
Thank you for giving the game a shot. I'm really glad you were here for this. 😄

@@bunnytails I'm so glad that I got to experience this with you even though it is delayed non my end from when you record it the emotions are real no matter if what I'm watching was recorded 2 weeks earlier this game was very very good even if it confused me to no end it was like nothing I've ever seen before and I actually hope I never see again that is what makes this game unique and I wouldn't want to see a copy of it in another game trying to use the confusing story and giving you bits and pieces of things here and there to finally have this fantastic ending this game did it perfectly and I'm glad you allowed me to experience it with you
I totally agree with you and how literally every single character got a little send off that was so awesome most games would focus on main characters only leaving the player wondering what about everyone else although it was said they were never real to begin with characters like miwako and BJ were real to me so for them to be in the end was very heart warming and made the end that much more special
And I don't think I could ever leave a short message I have no clue what even goes into a short message I'm a very talkative person and always have been I'm the type of person that always replies back to a message as a sign of respect like right now I've been dealing with a back issue since last week that has me all jacked up and then I go and get myself a sore throat today with the temperature change I haven't done literally nothing since I got home from work except stare a hole into the TV and I ain't even watching it 😂 but I respect you as a friend and a provider of entertainment and I will reply back to you no matter what shape I'm in so don't worry I will always reply back and it will always be a read 😂

The scene with the pods, juro, megumi and the outside world wows me. Oh, I was also disappointed in the Hijiyama x Okino ending (they were quite lovely in 2188). I like that Izumi and Morimura got (back) together.
There's a lot to wonder about... the nanomachines were ultimately what caused the extinction in 2188..? But the bodies in the pods are already injected with them? They even have the technology to do memory transplanting and all that other crap? The same thing is not going to happen again, right?

For Ogata, I would have added the High Performance Charger to his Sentinel. That would boost his EP recovery time while defending. I unfortunately don't have Ogata available due to BOL. I'm tempted to do a reset if it means I'll have a better chance of success (currently sitting at a win streak of 66).
Also: I don't know if this is your first try or your 5th, but you definitely did a damn good job holding them down! 5 minutes and 44 seconds never felt so long, I'll tell you that!
Item: I beat the game recently. I will hold my D with pride (9% Terminal integrity)!

After all that, a Starcraft-like "survive against overwhelming odds" mission, where it doesn't even give you the courtesy of a clock in the game, and of course all heroes must survive! Like you, I would have liked seeing more of their adult selves outside of the simulation. I guess they didn't have the art budget for that, so we had to settle for the reunion with their buddies from inside the Matrix. As complicated as the game's plot was, I'm impressed with how they stuck the landing.

Indeed! The way they explained everything so clearly and tied it up so neatly is truly masterful when you consider just how complex it is and the fluid order that you can experience the story in. Thanks for watching this one. I hope you liked it a lot!

I have a question about the story. In reality, Earth has been destroyed and humanity are looking for a new planet to live. 15 characters has been inside caps all time. When they win the war, they go outside and conolize the new world. So... Why are there time travels, sentinels, kaijus, etc.? Why all that shit? Does it make any sense? Why we fight against kaijus with enormus mechas? Is there any correlation there? They were all time in caps and nothing more. I don't undertand it.

This game takes place in a simulation. The kaiju and sentinels are just programs inside the simulation. There is no time travel, just different locations inside the simulation made to look like different tone periods. The only time the characters are in reality are when they enter the sentinels in the program, they wake up inside the pods that hold their physical bodies (that’s why they are naked, because they grew inside of that pod) and when they exit the pods onto the new planet.
The Kaiju were a glitch that wasn’t supposed to be in the simulation. The sentinels were created in order to fight them. The simulation kept restarting and never completing because the Kaiju were preventing the simulation to complete.

@@bunnytails thanks for answering me!!! But why are they inside a simulation? What is the purpouse of such simulation?

@@JoseGB96 It's to prepare them for life outside. To teach them everything they will need to know to survive and be a functioning society, since there won't be any parents, educators, law enforcement. Instead, they simulate it so they can be exposed to civilization.
