you gotta appreciate these rig rundowns where the actual player takes the time to do the interview rather than just sending out their tech to do it.

If you know to apologise if your out of line, why comment at all? Is it ok to put him down if he hasnt got the issues you mention? The guy is over 60 and has been around the block a few times. Do you really think he would be drunk before a show at his age? You obviously know nothing about his playing and live work. Your ignorance is astounding.

      i agree
the Joe Perry Aerosmith rig rundown isn't that good cos it's Trace Foster not Joe Perry, i'm not dissing Trace it's just it's better when guitarists/bassists themselves show their own gear

Brad Whitford is a super nice guy! He signed the Strat you see in my channel logo at a wedding reception for his nephew back in 1999. My band was playing the reception and he came up and jammed with us! We had a blast! I will never forget the experience!

I first heard Areosmith at a high school Blue mtn high school in VT when I was 13 in 1971
the same year Dream on came out
Tyler was 23 10 yrs older than me
Same yr they first played Dream on at my
friends high school prom in Littleton NH
My friend said Tyler said it was the first time they played it out. Then it became one of the
      biggest hits ever!

@ Kurt Moss Hey bro! I have been an Aerosmith fan since childhood! I love Perry, he is a riff -machine,and writes very cool shit, but I always preferred Brad Whitford. Listen to the solo off "Live Booleg" "Lord of the Thighs" He makes that fuckin les paul SCREAM,or maybe it is his B.C. Rich Mockingbird, either way, that solo is so menacing and has sick pitch harmonics and feedback goin on,it is almost out of control!!! He reels it back in towards the end!!!! AMAZING playing!

RESPECT- To stay kinda in the shadows and let Perry get most the glory. Any band is lucky, especially the lead guitarist to get such a 2nd guitar to be there solid as a rock. Down to earth and such wisdom to share.Man I would love to sit with this guy and just listen to the stories.

Back in the day, when everyone was praising and talking about Joe Perry’s playing, (even today) I was ALWAYS a bigger fan of Brad Whitford! I found out throughout the years that most of my favorite guitar solo’s in Aerosmith songs were actually Brad and not Joe. If Aerosmith songs were recipes, Brad is the secret sauce!

@@emperorofgaming8146 Off the top of my head, "Last Child" (probably the one he's most known for), "Sick As A Dog," the first solo on the studio version of "Milk Cow Blues" and I've heard that Joe himself considers "Kings and Queens" the quintessential Brad Whitford solo. Brad is also featured more prominently than usual on the Live Bootleg album, where he adds an extra solo to "Sweet Emotion," among other things.

I love locking tuners :D I agree with you on the fact that people first need to learn how to solder (heck setup a guitar properly). The fact what I like is that I have 3 Strats modded differently. I have a north-south coil split in a deluxe. I have custom made tele that comes close to Keith's Micawber but also a north south coil split, 3 different low pass filters combinations but also still want to add a series options and out of phase. I seriously run out of place on the control plate.

I couldn't agree more. Most of the pros gear are utterly complicated and confusing. I just put one of my two electrics into a Compressor, Overdrive (boost), Chorus, a Noise Suppressor, and my Vintage Modern. I honestly think that's what all guitarists need to gig with. Sure, bring a few different guitars (like 3 or so) with different pickups (different sounds), and a back-up amplifier if you have enough money. =P
