39:12 The reveal of the big-headstock white Strat with bound fretboard reminded me of the late Chicago bluesman Lefty Dizz and his Strat that also had a bound fretboard, the only one I've ever seen. I saw him play many times in the late-'70s through the 1980s. The Strat was black, but very beat up so it might not have been the original color. He played it upside down like Jimi, but with it still strung for a right-hand player. I'm looking right now at his 1979 LP with that guitar "Somebody Stole My Christmas." Happy holidays, everyone!
Brad has always been my favorite of the great bands with two guitarists. I saw Aerosmith live quite a few times in the seventies and through the nineties, and Brad is no second chair or second banana artist. He’s always held his own in the rock world. A deeds not words kind of guy. Respect
The white SG @ 35 minutes in wouldn’t that be a SG Junior? Gibson’s video indicates it’s a “early 60s SG Special”. I thought specials had two single coils. This has one.

Spent a lot of time with his son Harry Whitford, did a week long camp called blues kids in Chicago back in 09' busked on the streets of the city, he was a great player just like his dad. Good times
Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford are the heart and soul of Aerosmith. Brad does so much more on the albums than most people realize, and he is easily one of my favorite guitar players. So happy to see him featured here.
I don’t know too much about Brad, but for a “rocker” he seems like a gentle soul who has an excellent taste in guitars and apparently like many rockers was inspired both by the sound of the Beatles and Eric Claption’s mid 60s les Paul sound and setup. Can you imagine if neither the Beatles nor Clapton existed in the 1960s ,,,,,how different the evolution of rock n roll would have been?
The first time I saw Aerosmith live, I was blown away by Brad. Joe is the lead but Brad has the chops. He has been one of my favorite players since that show in 1997. Such a soulful, tasteful yet absolute beast of a player.

Love this series but the only thing that would make it better would be to cut to them plugged in for a demo. Have a couple different amp combinations that sound good with the guitars👌
In an interview a few albums back, Brad was happy to hear his guitar playing he says for the first time really on an Aerosmith record. He says he was always dialed way back in the mix, but on this album you could actually hear his parts.

Mark does a great job of adding to the conversation without talking over, or interrupting his guest. Plus he knows his stuff and history. He also shows admiration for the stories and the guitars even if they aren’t Gibson.
Another iconic player with an incredible collection. I love this series so much. Thanks and happy holidays Mark and Gibson!
I am addicted to these videos. Gibson has really got its act together since the new folks have jumped aboard. Visited Nashville a few weeks ago and bought another Les Paul. Cesar was there and it was super cool to see him
We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying the content on Gibson TV! We would love to hear who else you would like to see on The Collection or what other type of content you would like to see on our channel. Thanks for watching!
How about Alex Lifeson?
Ace Frehley
Please keep this videos and series coming. Well done Mark!
Way to go Mark , I remember when I bought my first tube amp at West Hollywood Music back in the day, Mark was the one who helped me. Missed those days.
Got to see Brad play with Aerosmith in 2010 and then again with the Experience Hendrix tour in 2014. Thanks for sharing your toys with us :)
Another great episode! You’re doing a phenomenal job Mark!
Just want to say thank you for this series. It really is a joy to see Agnisi (who could not be a better host for these!) tour through the vaults of these mega stars
''I remember when I sold you this one...'' Makes me smile every time
Loved the guitars and what Brad had to say. I appreciate how Brad was about the music and the not the fame. Hate influencer private plane backdrop. I struggled to ignore the stupidity of the backdrop decision and Brad's comments at the beginning ensuring it wasn't his idea because it is outside his character.
Thank You for this video series...I love it , I also LOVE Brads P.A.F. Gold top ....DROOOOOOOOOLLLL !!!.... I am from New Hampshire then moved to Boston to go to art school ( which I dropped out of ), I saw AEROSMITH in 1984 on the Done with moirrors tour...I barely remember it cuz I was blazed....but I loved it.
Aerosmith Rocks was the first of their albums that rocked my world!
In my my opinion, it’s they’re best. It’s definitely my favorite and I think it’s the bands favorite.
Rocks is the best album ,And both albums by Whitford/S:t Holmes is great
Good to see Brad Whitford doing well. :-)
Love these series, Brad is one of my guitar heroes. Long live Aerosmith 🎸
Brad has always been my favorite of the great bands with two guitarists. I saw Aerosmith live quite a few times in the seventies and through the nineties, and Brad is no second chair or second banana artist. He’s always held his own in the rock world. A deeds not words kind of guy. Respect
Deeds not words. Let the music do the talking. Great post.
One of the best riff writers in rock, great lead player too
"Thanks Murf"... what a sweet collection of the art that is Gibson, and Thanks for sharing.
The white SG @ 35 minutes in wouldn’t that be a SG Junior? Gibson’s video indicates it’s a “early 60s SG Special”. I thought specials had two single coils. This has one.
Enjoyed this. I am jealous of guys like this who just rang the bell. Hard work and Hard times I'm sure, but what a joy. Thanks
Dude!!! I cannot believe he brought out the Blue BC Rich bich! Always wanted to see it up close. Thanks Brad,Mark, and of course Gibson. That was dope!
Shaggy tweed case FTW! Great episodes about one of my 70's guitar heroes. Thank you Gibson team!
Awesome Mark & Brad🎸《☆》Nice collection & history👍🏾⛾Aerosmith is still Rocking with todays Youth like it was with my Generation in the 70s. Keep er going Boys✌😎☮
I've been a guitar Player for 50 some years. And there has never been a cooler more sought-after guitar than Gibson! You have to admit it!! Though I love my strats and teles and my Gretch's also!!
They should these days on the screws use polished stainless button head Allen screws. Won’t rust and being Allen heads they won’t get messed up like Philips do.
Wow just fantastic….Mark is just an amazing asset to you, knows what to ask,not over talk and you can see he is as obsessed with guitars as we all are 🤘❤️🎅🤘
I love this series
That's a serious christmas film 🤣
I recentely bought a 58
Amazing top,i love the way it dances in the light
And the tone...that's just something amazing
Criminally underrated player - Awesome Interview!
Again with the "underrated". Don't you guys get tired of hearing/reading your drivel? Oh, wait , you added "criminally", much more powerful.
@@gteefxr3094 What would say? Because most people only know Joe Perry and Steven Tyler when you say Aerosmith…
Underrated sums it up pretty well.
He's not just underrated. He's underappreciated, undervalued, and underestimated.
Mark!! Gibson!! I cannot thank you enough for this one!! Brad is my favorite guitar teacher I’ve ever heard! I was raised up on the Aerosmith since I was in the womb! My parents were big blue army and they installed this music into my DNA and brad is the reason why I play kinda like him today. It seems like everyone who has been raised in my area of Massachusetts has a story of going to high school with joe in hopedale. Or meeting someone in the band back before they were famous. These guys are still my favorite band. Thank you!!! Brad mark Gibson!!! Much love for this one!!
Fantastic as always! Keep these coming!
I love these Collection videos Mark. Keep doing them.
Spent a lot of time with his son Harry Whitford, did a week long camp called blues kids in Chicago back in 09' busked on the streets of the city, he was a great player just like his dad. Good times
I was at the Woodstock show.... An experience I'll never forget!
Love how knowledgeable both Mark and Brad are
So great to listen to an idol in this setting 🎸👏🏼
Amazing collection… the 59’ is stunning
Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford are the heart and soul of Aerosmith. Brad does so much more on the albums than most people realize, and he is easily one of my favorite guitar players. So happy to see him featured here.
I laughed out loud reading the book when Tom, Joey, and Brad referred to themselves as the LI3 or "Less Interesting 3" but, yes they are the backbone.
Saw the boys in Boston in September. My wife remarked that Brad is just sooo cool. Never heard thought he gets the credit he deserves. Love the sloppy Page commentary…
Merry Christmas buddy I love the years on music, thanks you Sr and freinds Aerosmith good tunes thanks praise Jesus Christ grace grace BigAl California
I got to see Brad at a small venue in Detroit a few years back. The dude has to be one of the most underrated guitarists out there.
Mark Agnesi absolutely killing it! Rocky start as some of you may remember. Amazing content the past few years. Nicely done!
The Perry & Whitford partnership is very close to the whole Richards & Mick Taylor deal. You never really know who plays what, especially
Iive. Just phenomenal.
Another gem, Mark. Thanks and Happy New Year to Team Gibson and the Agnesi Family
Great to see this thanks Mark and Gibson TV.............Merry Christmas !!
I’ve been waiting a long time for this interview. Well done.
Love this series but the only thing that would make it better would be to cut to them plugged in for a demo. Have a couple different amp combinations that sound good with the guitars👌
Brad is a master
Thank you Brad and Gibson! Oh, and Mark!
Please keep these videos coming Mark/Gibson 🔥 🔥 love them all
In an interview a few albums back, Brad was happy to hear his guitar playing he says for the first time really on an Aerosmith record. He says he was always dialed way back in the mix, but on this album you could actually hear his parts.
Awesome Gibson! Mark did a great job with this one. Some beauties in those cases.
Thanks Brad! So cool to see the guitars in such excellent condition.
@BradWhitford-di6kwman scammers like you are really trying hard these days
All you need to say is "last child" and "rats in the cellar" I immediately think of Brad. Top notch/legendary player 👌
I have lots of respect for Brad. These great Guitars are blessed to be played by you bro!
GIbson TV The collection series are the best!
Always been a fan of Brad , great guitar player ! Thanx for sharing your wisdom Brad !
Nice! I've been a fan of Brad since i was a kid, and Pump came out. Cool guy!
Gives new meaning to the song, “Dream On.” Awesome collection. Thanks, very cool.

You're amazing Brad and a musical icon in the American rock 'n roll genre.
