Thanks for the video. These stump vises do work in a pinch. Another downside to them is being careful driving it in. I hit the clamp bolt and bent it over. It’s a metric thread and I was able to get a bolt for it. It’s just not the wing it style end on the bolt to tighten it. I had to add a small wrench to my saw go bag. Not a big deal. I like the portable vise. Thanks for another great video. Have a good one!
Never seen a stump vise before. Handy tool. I’m sure you could use that on a tree that’s been cut down or log. Very easy to take with you. So it depends where you’d be going in the woods I suppose, as to which tool you could take. The vise set up is definitely the superior set up. We use to have pipe vises that we could install on the truck power lift gate to use. Was very handy for threading pipe. Have a good day Case. Good video.
@@BuildALotAcres way too much slop. u had a hell of a time trying to get the angle right to sharpen when the saw just fucking moves around everywhere. you were better off with the stump vise to be honest. you need to weld or jam some shit into the receiver hitch so it doesn't wobble so much
Electric chainsaw sharpeners work really well! ua-cam.com/video/mp7W04gJM1A/v-deo.html

Thank you 🙏
Great idea, thanks for making and posting this video. This is what I'm gonna do.
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
For saws with large dogs just cut a couple grooves in stump top to allow dogs to drop in so saw rests on its base, nice and level
Good idea. Thanks for sharing 🙏 👍🪓🍻

Love the tractor mate
Thank you sir 🙏
I really like your receiver hitch vice, it looks very handy. The stump vice was cool, I do not think I have seen one of those before
Thanks Joseph. The stump vises are light, portable, and inexpensive. I still prefer a real vise though. Thanks for watching 🙏

Thanks Noel. The stump vises are pretty common in the US. Handy tools no doubt. No bigger than a wallet
Very cool 💡
Because EVERY faller hauls around a receiver, hitch, and a vise…
SMH.
Did you walk to the logging site?
