I thought it was a stretch as well, but it was just all my presuppositions of what I have been taught as a premil dispi. It’s really hard to lay aside your presuppositions and study it at face value, but I encourage you to do so because when done, it is so clear, and so glorious. If not, then at least you know why you believe what you believe!
I was right there with you. It was a thorough study of the Old Testament and the prophets that totally changed my worldview. Now I see it everywhere and it's seemingly unavoidable. The change happened without me really even realizing it. 😂
Keep in mind that the book of Revelation is covenantal,,,, the covenant breakers are about to taste the wrath of God. Also, John is in the tribulation with the 7 churches, and these things he is writing about are to happen "soon." Presupposing that God can tell time, that unlike the Daniel prophecy, this one was NOT to be sealed up because the time was "near;" presupposing that this book was absolutely relevant to its original audience, the audience who knew who the 6th Caesar was who was currently on the throne, and the fact that we have a temple still standing where people are worshiping, it is not far fetched to read it as a coming in judgment, using OT language, on those who broke the covenant by rejecting the Messiah. For me a key book was the dating of the book of Revelation by Gentry, "Before Jerusalem Fell", whose scholarship convinced the great R.C. Sproul, Wilson, among others of the proper dating of the book. It is a must read if one wants to put the book into historical context, and not speculative.
"Armageddon" is not what We run around Proclaiming -i've actually never heard a Postmol Brither claim that. But, We do claim that YESHUA Is Not a False Prophet and that "this [HIS] generation wouldn't pass away till all those things took place"! ¿What Do You do with Matthew 24‽ (and Parallels; but, let's just deal with that 1)?

So how many biological, robotics and AI engineers do u have working towards christs kingdom? Any future kingdom has all these elements. If you are not pursuing these disciplines you are building villages not kingdoms and ironically will be left behind
I literally could not have said this better myself. I've been doing my best to bring to the attention of my family and friends what I call the four pillars of Armageddon. It's partially a joke, but also a very real possibility, that we could seriously harm humanity as we continue to construct the second tower of Babel. The pillars are: AI, Bio/Genetic Engineering, Robotics and Quantum/Other Computing. Any one of those could bring us back to the stone age if not careful. But when all 4 coalesce, it seems the tower will have been constructed and God will step in. If that's a dispensational end times, or just some other separate events, who knows. After all, no one knows the time or day. We could reset humanity several times before the end for all we know. But back to your point, even if we set aside doomsday talk, a future without those technologies will put you behind.
Why does anyone actually believe this non sense. These so-called preachers actually teach that the church will 'get the earth ready' for the Second Coming of Christ! Think about that for a few seconds. If you follow through on this doctrine, though they may not admit it, but this makes man the architect for the second coming not the Father. This heretical false doctrines are wicked and place MAN in the center of everything!!!
God uses instruments. Men are instruments. Paul was an instrument. God uses foolishness to confound the wise. Just because a position contradicts what you happen to have been taught does not make it harmful, false, or heretical. John the Baptist was a man, by the way. Does that make the belief that John the Baptist was making way for the Christ heretical and man-centered?
All of scripture is evidence of man being used by God as instruments making way for the coming messiah. It is not heresy to believe that God uses men today just as he did back then.
The closest to any kind of real millennialist was Methuselah with 969 years, the rest of us will have to settle for the the age we live in - Christ reigns either way, so stop majoring in minors, which includes the conjectures of man.

But isn’t postmill the damsel suffering from main character syndrome 😂 and a terrible storyline? Does the bride start ruling and reigning before king’s return? The bride maketh herself ready, doesn’t get the whole kingdom all ready and take the throne before the coronation🤦 Look forward to the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ like Titus👍
Doug seems like a nice guy and a good conversationalist. But his ideas about post millenniumism are Pathetic and only sound plausible in a safe space echo chamber. How often do these post millennialist repeat the same points and refuse to acknowledge the glaring problem passages against post millennialists? It would be nice and easier to believe all I had to do was go tell people to obey God and expect they would be obedient. If postmilleniast really have jedi power to get people to believe and obey everything the bible says why is the world going from bad to worse? Why do these Jedi have to convince themselves and other Christians they have this super power to command people to repent and obey immediately cant they just demonstrate this power rather than sit in cirlcles and convince themselves that they should hypothetically have this ability?
@@johnholmes8760 I’m glad you brought that abracadabra postmillennial interpretation of that verse. If that were true, why would in the rest of the New testament, the writers, warn of false teachers creeping in, & even going from bad to worse. If the postmillennial interpretation of Matthew 28 was true, that Christians could just preach the gospel & abracadabra people would start obeying the world over, why would the authors warn of false teachers going from bad to worse? It’s nonsensical.
I'd suggest you actually hear their interpretation of the passages instead of calling them "glaring." After having heard their teaching for a while the "glaring" issues are all the problem passages for premillennial dispensationalists that I didn't even know existed. Reading Old Testament prophets while holding to this position is (get this) actually coherent!
@@ethanmulvihill7177Rather than go back & forth about how glaring the verses are, I can just list them & you can tell me how it’s not glaring. The first one is “Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a message, or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed. Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 NASB2020 bible.com/bible/2692/2th.2.1-11.NASB2020 If Jesus comes back at a point where there’s been a great falling away (apostasy) a man of lawlessness deceiving the world that he is god, & great deception, how do postmillennialist get every to obey all that Jesus commands & then Jesus returns, when it’s clear that the vast majority of the people are disobeying Jesus when he returns?

( Genesis 1 .. Exodus 20 : 9 ... Lev. 25 : 3 .. Matt 13 : 36 - 43.. 2 Peter 3 : 3 - 14 (-& notice v-8)
.. And with God's "7th Day"/ 7th Millennial Day "Sabbath-rest" (Sabbitismos) for the saved-believers in Messiah to enter into at the 1st resurrection from the dead to the Throne of God.. THIS BEGINS *THE* 1,000 YEARS!
(Gen 2 : 1 - 3 .. Exod 20 : 10 - 11..Lev 25 : 4 - 5 .. John 14 : 1- 6 .. 1 Thes 4 : 15 - 18 .. 1 Cor 15 : 20 - 23
(1 Cor 15 : 51 - 54 .. Col 2 : 16 - 17 .. Rev 20 : 4 - 6 )
* Rev 20 : 4 - 6
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Therefore, "Postmillennialism" won't occur until AFTER ( or end of) The 7th Millennial Day, at the time of the "(2nd) resurrection of Judgment"( for just a short season), when the Saints return with Messiah to "inherit the earth" for the "8th Millennial Day"/ and eternal Jubilee, as foreshadowed by the Jubilee years and "The 'Great Day' Of The Feast Of Tabernacles"!
(John 5 : 28 - 29 .. Lev. 23 : 36 .. Lev 25 : 9 - 13 .. Psalm 37 : 11.. Matt 5 : 5 .. Rev. 20 : 7 - 15 .. Rev 21 & 22 )
This already happened, You are now in Rev. 20:7
@@mynamemylastname7179 ..That's Fake News.. This Definitely Has Not happened yet.
Yeshua/Jesus Christ's 1st coming was at the end of the 4th Millennial day from Creation.
It's been nearly 2,000 Years/ 2 Millennial Days since His Resurrection.
4 + 2 = 6000 Years/ 6 Millennial Days ( Gen 2 : 1 - 2 : 1 - 3.. Exod 20 : 9 .. Lev 25 : 3 )
The Resurrection Of Life ( For The Bride/ Collective Body Of Messiah) will occur upon the 3rd (Millennial Day) from His Resurrection ( according to the foreshadowed pattern)( 1 Cor 15 : 1 - 4 )
Hosea 6 : 1 - 2
"Come, and let us return unto YHVH: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
After 2 DAYS will he revive us: IN THE 3RD DAY He Will Raise Us Up, and we shall live in his sight."
( See: 1 Thes 4 : 15 - 18 )
That "3rd Millennial Day"( from Messiah's Resurrection ) will also Correspond with the "7th Millennial Day" (From Creation)
( See Numbers 19 for the pattern )
Can someone explain what Wilson means when he says after Jesus left the wilderness, he went to Canaan? What scripture is he referring to here?

I could highly recommend Abner Chou’s book on hermeneutics, he deals with the Hosea passage really well
Sounds like the church of Jeroboam.
Would love to be Post-Mil but I can't buy into preterism, the idea Armageddon happened already in 70 AD is too big of a stretch
I’m a post mil but still think there will be a release of Satan at the end of the millennium and a rebellion which will quickly get squashed 👍
Man, the postmillennialists are gonna be surprised. But it'll be good, so it'll be a good surprise.
Man, the Christians subscribing to other eschatologies (other than Post-Mil) are gonna be surprised. But it'll be good, so it'll be a good surprise.

Yeah. Keep the delusion until it will be untenable. Anyone can see how we're getting better 👍👌👍

We believe because Christ has graced us to believe & opened our eyes by his Spirit to his glorious Word.

There pathetic unless you believe the Gospel MT 28, disciple all nations..

The first one is
“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a message, or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.”
