- Hello everyone! Substrates are among the topics in gardening that I'm very interested in. In this video, let me share with you a DIY Potting Mix that I tried with my Alocasias. This DIY Potting Mix is an experiment and have proved to be effective for some of my Alocasias.

Good morning! I'm glad that you liked the video. I don't know the specific needs of a certain plant until I grow it and have it with me for some time. I just rely on their general characteristics and start from there. I tested quite a few substrates as of now. I could say I'm still a LECA fan and I'll give it a 10. Hahaha Lisa! You just gave me a new degree. Lol! You can give fluval a try with this mix. It's an effective substrate as I've been using it too for a while now. We're overhauling our aquarium and bought Aquasoil base on some recommendations and thought to try it on my regular plants. And turned out, it works wonder too! Thanks for dropping by. 😊😊😊
