Dude, this sounds just like my life with my son's everyday with cars, phones and computers. Now my 9 year old grandson is giving me tutorials. Your videos are the best out there on help with SRX. Thank you for the patience with us old dudes. We remember when we were the ones giving advice, sometimes hard to accept now

Cadillac would not do a recall on their mistake. The blue/black replacement is a step up in quality. The screen is cheap … the labor … is a half day’s work if experienced👀🤦🏻♂
I replaced mine once and haven’t had an issue since. It wasn’t cheap but I need my music and was sick of the work arounds. Good luck, some aftermarket shops capitalized on this manufacture flaw and provided a cheaper outlet. I don’t trust aftermarket unless I know their quality of work though!
@@joefabiano10 thanks for the reply. I’ve thought about replacing it myself, but my joints hurt too much when getting in those contorted positions of dashboard work. I’ve also thought about going for the big vertical (Tesla) screens, but I have a lifetime subscription to Sirius XM (no longer offered) and do not want to lose/replace the radio. One of these days I’ll find someone to tackle the job, but like you stated … “unless I know their quality of work“👀👍👍
The salesman didnt know that the secret compartment can lock when we were looking at it. Its a good thing to lock it anyways because it gets annoying when you accidentally graze past it while youre trying to touch buttons and it opens up
Excellent tutorial. I have a question: I purchased the 2018 XT5, I love it. When using my WAZE via the Android option, I would like the radio or media device to completely mute itself so I can here the WAZE commands clearly, how would I program the radio or media device to mute itself completely?
Nbr1 Dallasfan I don’t know if it is an option, but I will try on a 2018 XT5 tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Typically when using Android Auto all settings will relate to the phone.

Cullan Malloy yes you should, but if you have it plugged in via USB you will have to cycle through media devices and find it under one of the USB options instead of Bluetooth. If it is still not there go into your Bluetooth menu on your phone and make sure you allowed the privacies.
I have a 2014 Cadillac ATS and the cue panel is frozen. I can scroll down on settings, but unable to press on what I want, FM, XM, etc.,. no sound. My Bluetooth says it is connected on my phone and panel, but when making a call Bluetooth isn't working? HELP!
Marisela Herrera that will be something your service department will have to re-flash. Sometimes if you disconnect a battery cable for 15 min it will reset the cue too.
Click and hold the home page icon until the screen populates red arrows. Then I click and drag the unwanted ones to the second page. You can create favorites/quick buttons at the top in this same process. Those are nice so you don’t have to go to home page every time. Let me know if this doesn’t answer your question. Ciao!

How to be sure that you turn off your Cadillac ats 2013.Why does it starts without me being there?
Push button to shut off, get out and lock with fob to engage security system. It should only start with a key fob present.
Mute sets the volume to 0, it does not turn the radio off.
James Jackson if you hold the mute button on the screen it will. I had to keep it simple with the folks.
