Evan Brooks Me too! This track has been perfectly balanced between that futuristic wave at the beginning & that old school disco Jamiroquai at the end.
THIS. When I first listened to EOPE, besides "blow your mind" and "too young too die" I thought all the other songs were "meh". Then weeks later, I was listening to them randomly, and realized how amazing they were! It's like magic!
It's really good, and it has lots of re-listen value. Also the video is really moving it feels like J.K has been trying to find himself or his humanity among all this technological world... somehow takes you back to Virtual Insanity you know?
Yeah, Jay still has it in him. I went to a Jamiroquai show more than 10 years ago and it was amazing. Hope he will do some more great songs like this. A fan from France !
Where have I been? I just found this song (Feb of 2023). "Dynamite" was the last album (CD) I bought and that seemed recent to me. I checked and that was from 2005!!!! Geeezzzz! Absolutely obsessed with this song and it has reignited the Jamiroquai fire in my heart! ♥
I'm from Chicago and I never heard of this group until I was in the military. A good friend from Alabama turned me on to this group in 1997 and I have been addicted to this group ever since
So many people want them to just churn out same stuff they made 20 years ago. Music evolves. Bands do too. Those old classics we all love haven't gone anywhere. You can hear them any time. This track is cool. Love the hotchip / daft punk / justice vibe.

Beautiful sentiment. I’m crying listening to it for the first time. It’s hard to navigate this hell with a sensitive heart and foresight (and hindsight) which I believe Jay Kay has successfully done, to enable us to mourn yet maintain a sliver of hope for a displacement of the evil who rule.
One day you will discover that everything is forever, you, your father, this song, this artist and also this video.. Forever and real.. not like in an evanescent dream
He has been dormant for 11 years, so much has changed in the world. If there was one band that could come back after this long and take the world by storm, it's Jamiroquai
This was literally everything i was hoping for in the first song release. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Awesome futuristic sound and funky beat too. So damn awesome.
It's the last time he did it, but I'm sure this man has enough energy for more of that good stuff for decades to come. Really looking forward to his new album, gonna be the highlight of my month when it does!
I have cried like whipped to this song so many times. Being from the late 70s, I think this song is so painful, for all the right reasons. I have a list of at most 10-12 pop songs through modern history that meet this high standard. MJ has a lot of those slots. Jamiroquai is high on that list.
I think the whole thing is about how fast we view and rate things online. The world is automated now and he's from the past when things were different before the internet. He's now seen how far and fast digital life has become while trying to stay in tune with his past and how things were.
I think "We're too young to die" is more like part 1. then "Virtual insanity" then maybe "Deeper Underground" This would be somewhere like part 4 or 5 if you put them in order by message. You are right though as they work in a specific order even if not on purpose.
Good interpretation, but JK's comments on this song describe it being about people being too much into technology that they forget about natural relationships like between people, nature, and reality. And to that deeper underground comment, that's false. He was told to write a song about Godzilla, without mentioning the name. He wrote the song in two hours, and he didn't like it. However, he was told to make a song with commercial value and that's exactly what he ended up doing.
only in the sense of experimenting with plagarism. nothing in any of their music has ever taken things one step further than what has been done before and this is no exception. give me sly, stevie or george over any of their output any day.
I don't think this is experimental. I don't mind it, but it's hardly breaking any boundaries. The synth lines are straight out of the 80s. Or the early 2000s electroclash. I've been listening to space cowboy again. That was an amazing album, a great sound.
I'm a confessed fan of Jamiroquai, I have almost every album, I've been with the band since the mid-1990s. I listened to Automaton "only" about 30 times and had the sensitivity to find elements in Jay Kay's music and performance that go back to the band's early albums. Eager to listen to the other tracks and get the new disc.
José Ricardo Asmar Filho I feel so much at home reading all the comments... I don't know how to explain it but there's a real sense of community among JK's fans
Half of the views are mine... Seriously though never been a Jamiroquai fan (I think I only like Going Deeper) but this... This is electrofunk at it's best. LOVE IT
This mighty song is the real cream of this world, I can hear this song over and over again the whole day, the flow, the sound, the style, the video itself is a masterpiece creation of Mater Jamiroquai.
Never been a fan of Jamiroquai but this is a quintessence of everything that I love in pop/electronica/synth/acid jazz/disco/clubby/trippy sound. It recalls the best of Daft Punk,Chemical Brothers, Air, Metronomy, De-Phazz,Dee Lite, Groove Armada,Koop, LCD Soundsystem, Morcheeba, Sofa Surfers, Stereo MCs & The Herbaliser. All in ONE! Perfection!
Not that I haven`t tried all his previous stuff . I did but I only liked Deeper Underground. I have quite quirky standards in music. And yes, the latest album blew me away. He did his BEST!
Ok......so, this is literally the THIRD NEW MUSIC VIDEO _IN A ROW_ that I've watched tonight featuring an *atomic bomb explosion*. I just got done watching Grimes' new video for "Venus Fly." And just before that I watched "30000 Megatons" by the amazing new-ish band Pond. And now this. Is there something in the zeitgeist? Does the human collective subconscious mind know there's a nuclear war on the horizon? I mean....for the first time in a good 30 years it's not implausible... :/
Research the atomic bomb hoax- research suggests it's one giant psy-op to spread fear and use an excuse to start wars (which are profitable to the sick people that start them, and the banks) and we're just looking at what was, at the time, the best footage they could make. Probably just dynamite. Also, this track. So good.
That's a conspiracy theory with little proof. Their is an extensive history of the atomic bomb, and any highschool student with a shred of physics knowledge knows how chain reactions can make a reactive molecule split in an exponential pattern. Pull your head out of your pseudoscience-ridden ass.
It's okay to challenge and question everything. No need to be upset. Yes, atoms can be split. Yes, the televised "footage" of United States nuclear testing is fake. You should really learn to be mad at the government that lies to you and not be rude to pretty, smart women on the internet. Of course you like milk, too. Gross.
Actually you could be right. The lyrics of "this is not where I belong, they rule my life from a metal box..." seem to support it. (I was gonna go with "I'm a Tummy Tum, I'm a Tummy Tum" as in we don't do anything but watch TV and get fat, but hey, that's art right)
I'm so happy people are criticising this. That means that J and the boys are progressing. I love everything that Jamiroquai has done. Losing fans is part of growth and I don't think America ever really got the band anyway. Fuck America and the music scene there. After several listens I love the tune and the Video is dope with J having a great time dancing and being an overall ham. I can't wait for the whole disc, it will go into my Jamiroquai shuffle. Cheers to Jamiroquai fans around the world, let's get down people!
Johnny jr bullshit- I'm American and have loved them since middle school. A lot of American music is shit but so is a lot European music. Good is good, talent is talent no matter where you are.
Being American I can appreciate the music from Britain and abroad. I got all of groups jams and love their progression into different musical tones. This is the next step with nostalgia sprinkled on top. Trust me we are out there and welcome "Automaton!"
Johnny jr "fuck America" ?? I'm not even American and I can respect the fact that a country with over 300million people is going to have some mixed opinions. If you're not trolling I feel sorry for you.
Well, this one American here has always gotten them. Back in '96 when i was at my University i met an American girl who lived in Germany and she introduced me to Jamiroquai and i have been a fan ever since.
Jamiroquai are radically OUTSTANDING and dynamically electric - SUPERB. First time I heard this. JK used to live round the corner from me great guy - used to see him out in his Ferrraris. Im voting for JK as our next PM! Who is up for that?
This is a natural progression after 7 years. People need to embrace evolution and change...after all it's the reason they are reading this and better still listening to this! It's complex and difficult for some but it's a reflection of where we all are and with a mirror in front of our faces; he's simply telling us what's happening. It's a great piece of modern poetry. And the sonics are bang up to date. Great tune!!!
These lyrics hits hard to the core of the human experience at the moment. If they don't manage to touch your heartstrings then there is a high risk that your funk has been depleted. Luckily for us Jamiroquai has the remedy for such a utterly unfunky beingness. Looking forward to more of that music. Big love from a Jamirofan out and over in Sweden. Been vibin' to your music since 97/98. I was aged 10 or 11 at the time and I would sit and go through the lyrics over and over again. Learning english in the process. I wanted to understand the meaning behind the words of Jay and how it fitted along to the music which I was heavily grooving to. I drove my parents and siblings crazy listening to all the albums over and over all day long. I would instantly play the album of the time all over again. Jamiroquai was in lack of better words, my first love. I was a Jamirofunkjunky. Sorry for ramblin' a bit here. I had a visit of the space cowboy, ehh.. cheeba cheeba. But anyways, I'm always excited for all the new releases that has come out over the 26 years that I've been a listener.. And this album is great. The hardhitting and catchy lyrics are incredible. So thoughtful and how you could interpret them in a simple way or a deep way. I always go deep myself. Not just knee deep. ;) P-Funk reference. If you don't know well now you know. Peace to you and I will be looking forward to the new body of work that's on the horizon. We'll be arriving there soon and I for one am excited.
FleaKobain oh wow I remember him from way back in the day when I was in HS (mid 90's) and they were played a lot on MTV and I never realized it was the name of a group.
This is so ahead of its time, its not appreciated enough, lost generation listening to youtubers & facebookers that dont know real productive legit music
I doubt it. Jay and his band have not been active for many years, I'd bet those brands you mentioned would have little to no interest in any kind product deals with the band. I think Jay Kay just luv's his Adidas shoes.
like daft punk ,kanye, madona, justin b. katy perry jamiroquai has agreements with Adidas and too many more , adidas is a shit pop star brand, i love my vans i feel more free
There's a ridiculous amount of work in this one song! This guys soundcard must be on the verge of a meltdown by the time he exports the track. Seriously what type of DAW are you running, how long did you spend making this one song? This is an honest gift to humanity at that rate. I hope you all understand what im saying here. This is a mountain of a track. It would be many artists pinnacle achievement. Its a beast!
That electronic light hat is one of the coolest things ever! You can’t take your eyes off it. What a brilliant visual idea that only Jay Kay would come up with. Take the Jamiroquai design, originally inspired by the Native American Iroquois feather hats and turn it sci fi, with moving scales and robotic eyes that light up in time with the music. It’s brilliant and it puts you right into the digital world of Automaton.
What a great single alongside a visually entertaining spectacle. The graphics and the beats go so perfectly. But the headpiece is what takes the round of applause, how brilliant!
Hearing it again and again. Then for a few weeks, I hear something different. Then I'll come back and hear it again 20 times in a row. High Quality song!
Anybody else get choked up and emotional @4:15 with the finding of the "metal" helmet from the past? Wow! Adore this guy and group! Too cool for school!!!!
This is the sequel to Rock Dust Light Star. Automation Synopses: The Earth was destroyed by an asteroid (Rock Dust Light Star) everyone escaped except Jay Kay. 5000 years has passed and a cyborg (Jay Kay) was sent to find his past incarnation. Although he is a copy from the matrix he has thoughts and feelings inputed in him by the descendant of (Jay Kay). The cyborg must find the remains of his original self, collect lost information and to see if earth is habitable again.
I just pre-ordered my copy of *Automaton* from the official *Jamiroquai* website. I can't wait! American fan since the age of 13 back in 1995. Let's gooooooo!!!!!
That new Jamiroquai song is FIRE!!!!!! This is like Synkronized part two. A good fusion of “Deeper Underground” and “White Knuckle Ride”. I live!!! Jay Kay did that! Amazing!
Jamiroquai had me dancing all night in the 90's (Emergency on Planet Earth & Traveling Without Moving). So innovative, creative, and ground-breaking. They sound exactly the same and bring back the most amazing memories. SO happy they are back and touring!
What a stomper of a track. That chorus hook is spellbinding and the video is as cool as anything he has done before. WE WANT MORE NEW STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the song, love the new sound, love the Daft Punk-ish sound, love Jamiroquai, love the hat, love the lyrics. Excited that they're back, can't wait for more.
I can remember sitting in my frie ds living room listening to "Blow Your Mind" when I would spend the night and that song still gives me those vibes. Here I am over 25 yrs later (song is even older) listening to Jamiroquai still and loving every beat..thank you boys for all the "didjital vibes"...good vibes all.
the hats get more advanced each time! this one is alive.. you can even see it moving! its like having a bug on your head. But a cool looking bug. with lights on.
Am I love, every heart is beatin'. I'm all love! Uh-can't you feel me feelin'? Take my hand! Cold like a junkie. I'm an ice-cold man. I'm an ice-cold man. *distorted* Why am I cryin' for you? All this love I felt for you Has gone away to another place. (It's a digital life) I put my faith in a digital world But they've given me eyes without a face. I steal the moon on summer nights. Remind myself I am someone. My soul is null and void tonight. (I'm automaton) I'm so tough. Uh-can't you see me runnin'? See, I can't touch. Can you feel me comin'? I see the world and cry for freedom. These metal eyes, they can't disguise The fact that I need something to believe in. But they're not crying for you! I said goodbye to the world I knew And took off into inner space. (It's a digital life) Weren't you the ones who promised me A very different place? I've power up, get my program set And tilt my head towards the sun. Inside I know, I'm null and void (I'm automaton) Automaton (x4) Hey, you got me down underground Gettin' holed up in my cyber lounge As if I had time to break that down. (Automaton) Whatever you can do I can override it Got a million ways to synthesize it. Digital android, I can fight it (Fight it out) Automaton (It's a digital life) Automaton (Digital life) Automaton (A digital life) Automaton Feel like the man who fell to Earth But this is not where I belong. They rule my life from a metal box that's windowless And I wonder where it all goes wrong. Maybe this dream will stay alive But can the madness be undone? Am I the new intelligence? I'm automaton (x7) It's a digital life (x2) You know I need something I can hold onto, hold onto (You were all I knew) I need something I can hold onto, hold onto (This was all I knew)
This shit is funky is hell. The electronic sound is beautiful and took bit a listening to but, once you get the hook, it's infectious like influenza. Can't stop listening now.
'Hey, you got me down underground, getting holed up in my cyber lounge, as if I had time to break that down. Whatever you can do I can override it, got a million ways to synthesize it. Digital android, I can fight it' - I love that part. 3:08 in the track.
With how much he's danced in their music videos, it's probably something he figured out from experience. Ask your dance buds/teachers to help you break it down
Yeah anyone who doubts if he's still got the moves just show them that bit. The flow in that routine is the bomb, bits of robot style, bits of funk style, bits of shuffle style. Sums the guy up tbh, the boy can dance and then some.
This is an unbelievable blend of synth pop, dance, funk and electronica. Literally a modern classic. Jamiroquai, you did it again!!!
Sometimes I wonder if Jay Kay would ever thought if he and his band were going to be this great
Alex W And even rap!
SYNTH pop? YOU GOD DAMN SYNTH, HE'S A GOD DAMN SYNTH. INSTITUTE SPY!!!
Cloud 9 is a slam dunk.
Hot Property is my JAM!
I love how they hit us with that old school Jamiroquai in the second half.
Evan Brooks Me too! This track has been perfectly balanced between that futuristic wave at the beginning & that old school disco Jamiroquai at the end.
yes. i think that's what he wanted.
I think you two guys are right !
Yep. He's all robotic but in the second half he starts dancing around with that awesome funky bridge.
I said the exact same thing! That being said, I'm a little disappointed with the lack of groovy bass and drums. Hoping the whole album delivers.
This song is so underrated! It’s incredible and there’s nothing out here like it!!!
100!
a track that gets better the more you listen too it so glad they're back can't wait for the album, it's been far too long
it really grows when you relisten.
THIS. When I first listened to EOPE, besides "blow your mind" and "too young too die" I thought all the other songs were "meh". Then weeks later, I was listening to them randomly, and realized how amazing they were!
It's like magic!
First time listening to this, and after second time this is now my jam. Incredible lol- already played over 50 times
I lived the same experience with the first two albums. You can really tell there is a musical genius when something like this happens.
It's really good, and it has lots of re-listen value. Also the video is really moving it feels like J.K has been trying to find himself or his humanity among all this technological world... somehow takes you back to Virtual Insanity you know?
3:27 47 years old and not giving a fuck :) Good to see him back
Alchemistic Academician lol
you tube search "Corey Feldman what's up with the youth" I think it was what inspired jays dance moves.
How is "not giving a fuck (smiley face) something to aspire to. Any rich kid can "not give a fuck". Meaningless statement. Not "cool".
evolution rhythm Calm down
the 40 somethings are currently the best ##-somethings and shall be again in 10 years. hmpf! ;)
Still watching in 2024 and still think this is underrated
totally
Sooo agree! 🔥
No doubt about it, deserves more views
Tocó.
This song is just amazing. It gives to much power. He's a genius
The lyrics of Virtual Insanity and Automaton fit the world we live in NOW. An incredibly talented band👍
Thank you!
You should add Lockdown by Jamiroquai.
Can I get a ruling on Emergency on Planet Earth? Judges?
Exactly!!! Very prophetic indeed!! Love ❤️ Jamiroquai in my soul!
Quite literally, the 2 songs that connect
I'm a huge Jamiroquai fan, everyone is always knocking their new stuff I love them either way. They still funky and groovy to me.
@@lateshiachilds3640 shameful, shameful comment. You should be ashamed of yourself
It's nice to see he's still got those sweet moves
Hex Maniac Gabby yes. just yes. once a b boy always a b boy. his dancing is iconic. i will say that Jay Kay is more hip hop than today's hip hop.
+kmorr212 looking forward to his 'super fresh' track
kmorr212 i agree
Yeah, Jay still has it in him. I went to a Jamiroquai show more than 10 years ago and it was amazing. Hope he will do some more great songs like this. A fan from France !
Music evolves people, if you don't like Jamiroquais new style, tough, that's what artists do.
haha thanks, not frequent someone actually picks up on it
Yeah? Because
jazz/funk=>electronic
means "evolution"?
REALLY?
They always loved Africa Bambaataa, and this song proves it!
New style? LOL. Just because he used electronic bass on this song does not mean he has a new style. Wait till the release of the album.
LOL Esteban. You're crazy
It’s almost the end of 2022 and I’ve heard this song for the first time and it’s literally one of the best songs in the history of history.
It's like it gets more fresh with each year. Kind of amazing.

me too, I found them in 2013. I'm so excited to hear new music from them.

Ben Holland agree
Ben Holland I was just telling my fiancé that. Agreed.
I name it : "the golden age syndrom"....So many people affected...
yeah it does but are we sure we want it to sound more and more autotuned and overly processed?.

@@HardKore5250 You are correct 👍...still, a *great* song

Beautiful sentiment. I’m crying listening to it for the first time. It’s hard to navigate this hell with a sensitive heart and foresight (and hindsight) which I believe Jay Kay has successfully done, to enable us to mourn yet maintain a sliver of hope for a displacement of the evil who rule.

Forever and real.. not like in an evanescent dream
So Jamiroquai has been gone for like 2 decades and comes back with this masterpiece. Oh god yes
Star Predator Ita wait what? Did he release something in 2010??
lol
2 decades?? ...you was in a coma???? man, please use google.
Also Jamiroquai isn't a 'he'
bit rude
He has been dormant for 11 years, so much has changed in the world. If there was one band that could come back after this long and take the world by storm, it's Jamiroquai
M K4L yes !!!
M K4L What do you mean 'dormant for 11 years'? Their last album was in 2012. 2010 if you're from the UK.

Yes!!! This track's been on repeat for 2 days now and I cannot get enough!
Cary Corfu me too,I vant stop dancing,it hurts do good
3:27 got to be the last time Jay kay danced like this, and never will again sadly :( miss the days of high jumps and fancy footwork.
He has the stamina to do it , the only thing stopping him is his back injury
He can still dance like that, believe it or not
I love It so much ❤️
He's still got canned heat in his heels!
It's the last time he did it, but I'm sure this man has enough energy for more of that good stuff for decades to come. Really looking forward to his new album, gonna be the highlight of my month when it does!
Hats off to Jamiroquai.

I love how jamiroquai brings originality in their music and videos
in "his" music and videos. not "their" ;)
flavius martin jamiroquai is a band
flavius martin yeah, jamiroquai is the name of the band.😒
Actually OP was right, Jamiroquai is the band, Jay Kay is the lead singer.
mea culpa...until now, the act was widely recognized as belonging to an solo artist...i can see now that it is listed as a band...cudos ;)
I have cried like whipped to this song so many times. Being from the late 70s, I think this song is so painful, for all the right reasons. I have a list of at most 10-12 pop songs through modern history that meet this high standard. MJ has a lot of those slots. Jamiroquai is high on that list.
Agreed, my respect for MJ surpasses that of all other artists, but Jamiroquai is inching ever closer as time goes by.
I think the whole thing is about how fast we view and rate things online. The world is automated now and he's from the past when things were different before the internet. He's now seen how far and fast digital life has become while trying to stay in tune with his past and how things were.
I've been listening to it too much while working. Started making me receive the message lol.
I think "We're too young to die" is more like part 1. then "Virtual insanity" then maybe "Deeper Underground"
This would be somewhere like part 4 or 5 if you put them in order by message. You are right though as they work in a specific order even if not on purpose.
best comment ive seen here !!!!!!!!!!!!bravo m8
Good interpretation, but JK's comments on this song describe it being about people being too much into technology that they forget about natural relationships like between people, nature, and reality. And to that deeper underground comment, that's false. He was told to write a song about Godzilla, without mentioning the name. He wrote the song in two hours, and he didn't like it. However, he was told to make a song with commercial value and that's exactly what he ended up doing.
I went ahead and made a remix to this song as well. Check it out on my channel. Let me know what you think.
Jamiroquai's gone all Experimental and i like it. Hopefully the rest of the new album will be.
they were always experimental, since the very first song
only in the sense of experimenting with plagarism. nothing in any of their music has ever taken things one step further than what has been done before and this is no exception. give me sly, stevie or george over any of their output any day.
Bryan Whellams this just in, Acid Jazz sounds the same as this. Besides, according to your logic they're now 7 steps ahead ;)
Whellams - Stallone, G and Takei?
José Ricardo Asmar Filho Well said. Not bought an album for years but I'll be buying this baby!
Not that Jay Kay really needs the money ha ha! But yes, the new material looks promising
Can’t believe this is four years old already!!!
5 now
Not sure about you guys, but I'm getting seriously addicted to this song!
hooked
Itzakadoodle can't stop listening
I can't stop listening to it. It has all of the right stuff.
Half of the views are mine...
Seriously though never been a Jamiroquai fan (I think I only like Going Deeper) but this...
This is electrofunk at it's best.
LOVE IT
Your view counted only once.
Tosca Dacuino Deeper Underground
Tosca Dacuino Thanks to Jamiroquai Future funk exists , and there are many good songs here on youtube :)
his the king
Nicole Benavides Amen!!
This mighty song is the real cream of this world, I can hear this song over and over again the whole day, the flow, the sound, the style, the video itself is a masterpiece creation of Mater Jamiroquai.
It's 2023 and I'm still watching this awesome MV, holding out hope for a new Jamiroquai album >.
:3
I reckon this might be his last
@@Simon0 why’s that
@@alexhansen8937 it's been about seven years I think 🤔
@@alexhansen8937 I feel like he's running out of ideas. If there is another I think it will be his weakest. Just my opinion of course! 🙂
All in ONE! Perfection!
...and Empire Of The Sun :)
If you aren't a Jamiroquai's fan, then I must tell you've been missing a lot of good music of all those genres you told
Svet Grigoroff Yes, because they both wear special hats ? I know Jamie since several years but a fan of EOTS!
Not that I haven`t tried all his previous stuff . I did but I only liked Deeper Underground. I have quite quirky standards in music. And yes, the latest album blew me away. He did his BEST!

it´s like a sequel...This is the future that Virtual Insanity predicted...
@AVedic I hope not ... but the signs are not good . The system may be due a reset !
Gross.
No more listening to 22 sec clips 1000 times! Awesome! 😎
Kev Taylor yup! Now we can listen 1000 times to the whole 5:02 music video 🙌🏽
DarHenny Too right! Can't wait for the album pal
Kev Taylor same! I just bought the limited edition with the crewneck, can't wait for it to come in my mail! 😁
Exactly!
Hahaha - this!
This was part of the soundtrack of my trip to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos. Takes me back everytime I hear it.
Jamiroquai always finds the chords to make me feel something
My exact thoughts, them jazzy chords and weird structure.
и
"I'm a tomato, I'm a tomato, I'm a tomato..."
Actually you could be right. The lyrics of "this is not where I belong, they rule my life from a metal box..." seem to support it. (I was gonna go with "I'm a Tummy Tum, I'm a Tummy Tum" as in we don't do anything but watch TV and get fat, but hey, that's art right)
HAHAHAHAHAH i heard that too
Automaton - :-)
LMAO
jajajajaj ! xD
My heart almost stopped when i saw this in my recommendations. Big fan of Jamiroquai since 1996.
Jay kay has always been ahead of the curve- amazing song
Johnny jr
Johnny jr "fuck America" ??
I'm not even American and I can respect the fact that a country with over 300million people is going to have some mixed opinions. If you're not trolling I feel sorry for you.
Well, this one American here has always gotten them. Back in '96 when i was at my University i met an American girl who lived in Germany and she introduced me to Jamiroquai and i have been a fan ever since.
Totally brilliant unsurpassed production music at the highest level.
Absolutely agree.
Agreed
I want daft punk and Jamiroquai to collab on something. This brought me back to early 2000s man. I almost cried.
drflizzz that's what I've been saying! Especially get lucky and cloud 9, they have that same funk vibe. And Jay Kay has a better voice for this style!
Ecxelente idée !
drflizzz i said the same thing. and wouldve loved him seeing dancing with orinc (rip) or in my fantasy a Jackson 5 dico track
Jamiroquai are radically OUTSTANDING and dynamically electric - SUPERB. First time I heard this. JK used to live round the corner from me great guy - used to see him out in his Ferrraris. Im voting for JK as our next PM! Who is up for that?
Do you know what would be Awesome Jay kay feat Daft Punk.
Yes, another mind-blowing would be: Jamiroquai feat Roisin Murphy.. oh my

Perfect. Funk, Electronic, and Disco.... Love it.....
That's like the Holy Trinity of music.
And synthwave 💖
@@immablackstar5780 This music is rather Synthwave, even DarkSynth. On the other hand the bridge of this song is more in what he used to produce.
Matthew West Yep 👍👍
Jay Kay was, is, and always will be so funking awesome
I've waited so long, but man it was worth it.
SO fuckin dope!! Where has this guy been for so long???
jabrown1978 created this song
*these guys... Jamiroquai are a dope ass group, not just one guy.
FleaKobain oh wow I remember him from way back in the day when I was in HS (mid 90's) and they were played a lot on MTV and I never realized it was the name of a group.
they were on holliday, these guys only need one album every 10 years haha
Truth! Quality not automated quantity!
This is so ahead of its time, its not appreciated enough, lost generation listening to youtubers & facebookers that dont know real productive legit music
Totally agree
That's what you get when a song uses analoge equipment, it's 100 times better.
Do you know any similar songs?
Jay is still rockin' the Adidas. Love it!
musicessexx Adidas ftw
I think Jay has agreements with Adidas, Hugo Boss etc. excellent product placement for them!
I'm getting a Daft Punk meets classic Jamiroquai vibe from this song and I'm liking it.
Internet Jesus I was about to type the same sentiments.
Internet Jesus Yeah I totally agree
Internet Jesus that were exactly my first thoughts too
And Justice
Well this song was inspired by Daft Punk
The lyrics in this song are SO GOOOD!!!!!
I think you mean to say it's 🔥
same thing was going through my head when i was first listening to this
Totally agree
this guy works with his heart!
And that's not even mentioning the effort that went into his new hat
Just mind blowing work. Cannot begin to explain what a masterpiece this is. Just builds and builds.
2:20 MY BOY JAY KAY HITTING THAT DAB
Yasssssss!
Best video I've seen in a long long time
me2 - pure style
the epicness of this track and video is epic
mass effect 2?
That electronic light hat is one of the coolest things ever! You can’t take your eyes off it. What a brilliant visual idea that only Jay Kay would come up with. Take the Jamiroquai design, originally inspired by the Native American Iroquois feather hats and turn it sci fi, with moving scales and robotic eyes that light up in time with the music. It’s brilliant and it puts you right into the digital world of Automaton.
I want that helmet
same
so do I ;)
kungfutyla me too!!
i want it too
Skymix_ me 3..😶😃😎
I love his dancing between 3:17 and 3:41
Silver Nelley the lyrics during that part are so epic it's like a private message from him. I love it.
it's the next message after Virtual Insanity
it´s his typically JK dancemove that he´s doing for over 20 y now
I still can't get enough. Too bad they never comes to the U.S., so I can see the moves in person!
the part between 00:00 to 5:02 was great !
julio ruiz I liked 0:00 to 48:00
correct
julio ruiz Agreed. A total pop-out.
Jamiroquai is one of the best bands ever. Hope they release something soon! This one is ahead of its time.
They are recording a new album as we speak
the only one band who never fail..such a great music after all these year 25 years impeccable.
its not as good as his past albumns :(
agree
What a great single alongside a visually entertaining spectacle. The graphics and the beats go so perfectly. But the headpiece is what takes the round of applause, how brilliant!
Amazing...
How on Earth this ever get overlooked?!
Pure genius
Hearing it again and again. Then for a few weeks, I hear something different. Then I'll come back and hear it again 20 times in a row. High Quality song!
wich hardware .
Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 mki > Mackie Big Knob (for its headphone pre-amps) > Sennheiser HD600 headphones
It sounds great!
That was my exact thoughts on it
Whole album is like that for me. I almost wrote it off after one listen.

It's going to be released March 31!
The epilogue to virtual insanity
It seems to be gathered by this love for useless twisting of this new technology.
This is the sequel to Rock Dust Light Star. Automation Synopses:
The Earth was destroyed by an asteroid (Rock Dust Light Star) everyone escaped except Jay Kay.
@@bronsonblacksr where did your hear that?
Feel so good
Joe Birmingham All their albums had an overarching theme of the end of the world/humanity, and the future each album tells a piece of the story.
I just love the lyrics, deep meaning. It resonates with me, the feeling of not belonging to this world and being controlled by an external force.
I just pre-ordered my copy of *Automaton* from the official *Jamiroquai* website. I can't wait! American fan since the age of 13 back in 1995. Let's gooooooo!!!!!
This song is genius. Got the album. Turns out the whole album is genius to boot. Haven't stopped listening to it since I got it.
Cristian Gonzales Sammmeeee every song is iconic in its own way
Carla is my favorite. I'm so happy he's found the value and beauty of children and marriage.

That new Jamiroquai song is FIRE!!!!!!
This is like Synkronized part two.
A good fusion of “Deeper Underground” and “White Knuckle Ride”.
I live!!! Jay Kay did that! Amazing!

This has just made 2017 so much better.

Jamiroquai is a super classical artist... Lotta respect
Am i the only one obsessed with the dance he does at 3:26?? what do you call that move?
Eduardo Azcarate The African Wombat Freezebopper 2.3 Move.
With how much he's danced in their music videos, it's probably something he figured out from experience. Ask your dance buds/teachers to help you break it down
Bloody awesome is what it is.
Yeah anyone who doubts if he's still got the moves just show them that bit. The flow in that routine is the bomb, bits of robot style, bits of funk style, bits of shuffle style. Sums the guy up tbh, the boy can dance and then some.
Started practicing those moves since '93... perfected in 2017.
