This song deserved so much better than to be attached to a stinker of a movie. It also makes me think that Jay Kay could write a pretty good film score. I was such a huge fan back then and then kind of moved into different kinds of music but coming back to Jamiroquai reminders me of why I was a huge fan in the first place. And it’s as good now as it was then. It hasn’t aged at all.

The first time I ever saw this video as a kid it made my jaw drop, it's one of the very few music videos I can recall from my childhood, together with MJ leave me alone this one certainly takes the top spot
I think the production process and how they did it might be a great story. I can see that he is walking on a bluescreen with inbuild prop cars etc, sometimes there are miniatures (like Heli in the background), sometimes retro CGI. But there is an absolute perfection in the timing and composition, most of the time nothing is out of it's place, like his feets are always hitting backseats. AMAZING.
If Michael Jackson made this song, it would be regarded as an instant classic, up there with the best he's done. But as its Jamiroquai it's just seen as "oh that song from godzilla" such a shame, this, seven days in sunny June and feels just like it should very under appreciated

It's not "ya typical Jamiroquia" track, and if this is your only exposure to them and didn't like it, then you would be mistaken about what make Jamiroquia unique and miss out. It's still a PHAT track - a choo-choo-tune! But to your point about "this is the tune for Godzilla", I don't think movies have hits like this anymore. Like "You could be mine" pretty much encapsulates Terminator 2. It's hard not to hear that and think - Arnie on a Harley jumping off a bridge, landing that jump in an L.A. storm drain.
