yeah, the first half of the episode is fine, but then it gets stuttery half way. I was afraid to upload it like this because I wanna give you guys the best quality I can. but this is literally the only footage I can possibly find on the internet. and I have no idea how to fix it. I tried everything I could, but to no avail. I promised I would upload this as a birthday request and didn't wanna let them down, so I had to work with the only thing I could find. it must be a rare episode if it's this hard to find. if anyone knows how to fix stuttering audio through iMovie or just a QuickTime Player video on a Mac, let me know so I can fix it and reupload! if not, I guess we're stuck with this despite how annoying it is.
America could've bn voting more often, and keeping their favorites in the competition. The great ones get eliminated, while the others hope, they enter the finale.
Got robbed 2 times, here and the masked singer. I actually met him in a bar in Seattle. I wish I would have gotten a picture in hindsight, but at the same time, I didn't ask for one simply because I'm sure he gets that all the time and I just wanted to shake his hand, say hello and tell him that he did a great job on the show.

In the end him "losing" was for the better, without that happening we wouldn't have songs like Life After You, It's Not Over and we wouldn't be seeing him killing it on Masked Singer right now. Which let's be honest ant comment made in the last 4 months are because of that show. If he won he would of been stuck in a contract that he probably wouldn't of liked and he would of been another forgotten winner, being in a band was the best choice for him not being a solo act.
Chris should've been the winner, he was clearly the best singer. The voters are to blame for this. They all thought he would be safe no matter what and didn't bother to vote. That's something that Ryan had repeatedly warned the viewers NOT to do. I voted for him every night, including this round! A year after this competition, Chris Daughtry had sold more than twice as many albums as Taylor Hicks(the winner) had. Plus, a year after this, Taylor Hicks had already been dropped from his recording contract.
He had great performances in the Top 24,20 and 16 rounds (as did most of the contestants) but had a rather lackluster Top 12 (much like most of the contestants). This was an overrated season.
You know the coolest part of this story is....Chris is such a great example for all of those that are on shows such as American Idol who don't make it to the finals or win....He is such a very good example for those that feel like they failed and are therefore "awful". A very good example ....to never give up, and never take it that just because you did not go as far as you hoped on these shows, it never means that you are a failure and awful at it all, instead look at the good and the experience you gained and fight to go further and achieve that musical dream, if that was it but never judge yourself based on a show like this! How many winners on all these shows have ever even done anything to become a musical superstar like Chris? Really, many of the winners have not even achieved that stardom and status and success. So no, these shows.... winning it is not what makes the success of a contestant! In a way...Chris' story and experience and not winning the american idol title was truly a blessing!! And I say a blessing because he and his story is a very good message for all of those that did not make it to the finals and win!

He went over confident for Elvis week (Ryan announcing the results on top 6 night that him and Katharine were the top 2 on votes probably made him forget he was in the bottom 2 the week before, showing he coudnt coast). Not that he gave a bad performance like Mandisa but on a week he could have nailed, he delivery two ok/safe performances, giving Elliot a chance to rase to the ocasion. Katharine got the sympathy votes and Taylor had the most solid following. His face of surprise and how he said on interviews that he really didnt expected to go, proves he was overconfident. Having only 4 contestants left, unless you delivery a moment the night before while the other three didnt stood out, you shouldnt go to the results show with the ´´Oh, I´m 100% safe`` mindset.

I started watching Idol in season 4 and Chris is still my favorite contestant ever from American Idol. While I agree that "Little Less Conversation" wasn't his strongest, I actually loved "Suspicious Minds" mainly because it's one of my favorite Elvis songs and I thought he did a nice job with it. At the end of the day though, does it really matter that he didn't win. He's arguably the most successful non-winner in Idol's history and one of the most successful period so I think he's doing just fine for himself.

Funny thing is, none of those final 3 contestants made any hits. They’re all nobodies. Chris realized American Idol is like college. Not needed to make your business a reality. It’s practice that comes with a piece of paper that says you’re good at said profession to help with getting hired for employment and side gigs

Daughtry was the best singer on this show out of any season. Extremely versatile, he’s got the look and the attitude.
In all honesty this bottom 2 was the top 2 of that season and the two most successful post show.
If only there were saves during this season...
