I am 37 weeks with my third baby and this is the first time i saw someone amazing like you explaining very well, all hospitals should have at least your video for each pregnant woman. Love your knowledge.🤗🤩❤
Thank you!! Excellent information! Helping my daughter! I had 1 very traumatic experience induced with a 4rd degree episiotomy and then 6 C-sections. Hope she has a natural birth!
I love how you talk about the baby's movement through the pelvis! It is so helpful to know what the baby is doing in order to understand what is going on internally.
New information actually studied with Zhang in 2010 noted that there is no transition. The first stage of labor has two phases, early or latent, from 0-6 cm, and active - from 6-10 cm. LChurch CNM, FACNM, MSN
@@asmith7094 Assigned Female At Birth, you mean. Why don't you go do some research on trans people and argue about their right to exist and identify as they please there? This is inclusive birthing help, and you're being an ass rather than giving input on what the video is for.
It’s scary to think that now being called a women or mother is somehow offensive to people or a taboo topic. It’s one of the greatest joys and blessings that we get as women to be one day called a mother/mom and that it’s one of the things that sets us apart from men, the way God created us to be. It’s truly sad that’s being taken away from us. It’s a shame bc this is a very well put together video but I can’t get past her using all these other words to describe something that already has a name MOTHER/WOMEN. Since when does a man with male body parts give birth? I just don’t understand.
The only one who seems to be taking offense, is you. Also, women aren't only good for giving birth. We are good for so much more than that. And not everyone believes in God either. It's more based on biology, human anatomy and sexual reproduction. Let people have the option to educate themselves on the birthing process without pushing your christofascist agenda on them. That is very inconsiderate of anyone who may not have your beliefs/preferences.
@@raynel.m5457Wow. You can agree or disagree with a person getting offended over the term 'birthing person'- deciding that this makes them a FASCIST is extremely offensive towards the people who have experienced oppression or violence from actual fascist systems. Fascism is real and dangerous- watering down the term in order to dehumanize and discredit people who disagree with you in a small conflict is extremely scummy. And shame on Evidence Based Birth for hearting comments which trivialize fascism, you're definitely not contributing to a safe and welcoming environment
@@inedanap6253 Oh, you took it there sweetheart. You took it there. I didn't call anyone A" FASCIST ", you're only interpreting that with how you read my comment. There was absolutely NOTHING scummy about my comment. I was respectful, educational and considerate. Stop limiting women to just being able to give birth. Give us more credit than that and leave your religion out of it.
I would have shared this with a mom, but the "birthing person" verbage is just so disrespectful. We have such blind misogyny we're accepting the erasure of women as "inclusive" or "compassionate". Lying to people is not compassionate. Women deserve recognition for our ability to give birth. Excluding Women from the language is not "inclusive".
I'd ask what are their standard practices around cord clamping first, and then explain that you really want it to be delayed. I think they have to respect your request.
I would suggest making a "Birth Plan", which is a paper that you print out to give to all your doctors/nurses when you arrive at the hospital! On that, include that you would like for your cord to not be clamped for 3-5 minutes (among other things you want for your birth). You can Google "birth plan" for more info on what could possibly be on the document!
Despite the video there is actually little the laboring woman can do the change the baby's position for birth. Mostly the position is based on gravity and just what happens naturally. So if you change positions and your baby still comes out occiput posterior AKA "sunny side up" don't blame yourself!
Question:- how can you tell if a woman can't deliver vaginal? Or in what step of labour? Can this happen naturally and how can you tell?? Thank you a lot.

Mother, mom, momma 😊
Your videos are brilliant and so informative, thank you.
Really appreciated the visuals you employ to help illustrate the process!

Super informative video. For 1rst time mom, at stage 2. how long do contractions last and in every how many minutes they come without epidural?
What if my baby is on the right with his back to the right, is he still anterior?
Question for professional use ...can you post a link to purshase the sample baby you used for this example.
Wonderful info, beautifully said!
The English subtitles are in Spanish 🙈
Right! I'm tring to watch this with my husband snoring next to me. 😅 Full volume and I'm still missing some of it! 😄
Love your channel!! I’m 38 weeks ❤️❤️

Isn’t it pretty safe to assume that anyone who is giving birth can be called a *mother?*
Not everyone who can give birth is or identifies as a woman. Most do, but there's nothing wrong with using inclusive language.
Exactly!
Yes, I agree. Only a mother can give birth, and we shouldn't take that title away from them.
@@stephenomenal901 you must have a woman's body to give birth. If you have a woman's body, you are a woman whether you identify as such, or not.

Lost me at "birthing person". I expect experts to have a full grasp of reality for me to take them seriously.
You have mentioned about getting "more room in our pelvis to make the baby birth normal"...how do we do that?
Not giving birth on the back
What if the baby is at ROA? Does it make a difference from LOA?
Thank you! It is very clear explanation!
great video, learned a lot, super helpful!

Great content. But you might as well call it the birthee if the other person is the birthing person. JUST CALL HER A MOM!!!

I think that if the woman is pushing too long and the baby just will not come out, they’ve exhausted all options, then they’ll go for a c section
@Evidencebasedbirth
Contractions space out lol. They just became a constant instead of coming in discernable waves
Woman not birthing person
Yup. Evidence based apart when it comes to this matter it seems
