I think the mist will be good for layering. I plan on using it as a full set, but also to pair with any pumpkin or fall scents that don't have matches in my collection. I think it'll smell great with some of my fall scented Dirty Soul Soap sprays, the Boba Milk Tea Tree Hut scrub, BBW's Cinnamon Donut Swirl, White Coconut Caramel, etc! 🤎 I'll talk about the mist once I get my hands on it! 🤗 Yes, stay tuned for next Monday's video...it's all about Blueberry Bundt Cake! 💙

I have only tried the Pumpkin Swirl Cake in the mini mist. To me, it smells like caramel spice-which I really enjoy!

@MelissaC It was nice here, too. Every year, we have an all-day neighborhood celebration starting with a parade that goes to the lakefront (Lake Michigan) Then celebrations by the lake, and ending with fireworks at night 🎆 🤗

I tried the lotion & mist instore yesterday. It was so light. I dont think I'll get it unless they have a good sale! Strawberry poundcake is also lighter this year!
Oh interesting, I haven't smelled the newest release of Strawberry Pound Cake yet. I'll have to see if I notice a difference from before!
I tried Pumpkin Swirl Cake in the store the other day. It was buy three get three but I didn't buy it. It was pretty but too faint. I could barely smell it. I wanted strong pumpkin.
They ruined me with The Perfect Autumn Pumpkin years ago, and nothing compares. Was disappointed but will be skipping this. 😳

That's what my experience was with it too, yummy but just so faint on my skin. I now know it's a body chemistry thing because I had my sister try it and it smelled amazing on her and much stronger too!

I worked there for 8 years a while ago (early 2000's) so i have quite the vintage stash! The Perfect Autumn Pumpkin is my favorite. My daughter bought me a Hempz Pumpkin and Chai to help out, but it's not the same. Still delicious, though!
Actually i went and checked and the hempz lotion is cinnamon sugar and vanilla butter creme. No wonder it doesn't smell like pumpkin!😂

You're not really selling me on this one, but I'll still try it on the next time I go to the store. (Remembering how Vanilla Bean Noel just smelled like caramel on me, but dried down to a Band-Aid scent.) Will you do an update on scent and staying power if you get a whole set?
Will you also do a comparison of the old Coco Shea Honey to the new one when it comes out? I missed it the first time, so I'm excited to try it.
@@kerrid.979 Hahaha I think maybe my expectation for a new pumpkin was a little higher than what Pumpkin Swirl Cake could achieve for me. I still really like the scent, but it just smells like milky caramel on me so... I'm still gonna enjoy it and once I get the spray I'm sure the performance will improve but yeah. I'll give my two cents once I spray and lotion at the same time! 🥰

I don’t get the comparison with these 2. Pumpkin Cupcake is a generic buttercream scent to my nose, every time it’s released. Pumpkin Swirl Cake has something gooey and spicy to it and I definitely prefer it.
Same, to me they are completely different scents and I could tell right away! I think a lot of people who haven't smelled it yet just started the speculations based on the fact that they are a similar concept of a pumpkin flavored cake in the name! I agree that Pumpkin Swirl Cake is gooey smelling, while Pumpkin Cupcake is more of a vanilla buttercream scent! 🧁
I'm so glad they're different... I can't wait to try Pumpkin Swirl Cake! I have a Pumpkin Cupcake lotion in the original packaging from 2016 and a shower gel in the 2022. To me the 2016 version smells kind of different though. I'm not sure if it's because back then they had more than 3 notes listed and orange zest was one of the original notes for Pumpkin Cupcake before they condensed it and maybe my mind is playing tricks on me convincing me I smell that orange zest note or what

Yikes...to me they're obviously different! I guess everyone's noses are different and maybe they just can't pick up those differences. But if I were to sum it up, it'd be this: Pumpkin Cupcake = Vanilla Buttercream; Pumpkin Swirl Cake = Gooey, Milky Caramel!

Me too! Usually around the last week of August is when I start thinking about using Fall scents, unless it's still really hot. Otherwise September 1st I go all out! 🍯🎃🍂🍁 But until then, I love getting excited for the newness and catching them on sales. I'm glad you love the Blueberry Bundt Cake, I do too! 🫐

The Pumpkin Swirl Cake has a fair bit of spice in the FFM. I like the Pumpkin Swirl Cake more of the two scents, for the same reason that you like the PCC more, a body chemistry thing....
So I got the spray and had both me and my sister spray out wrists...on her it smelled like a yummy, nutmeg and pumpkin dessert. On me it just smelled like sweetened milk. 😳 So it's definitely a body chemistry thing for me! I want it to smell more Autumnal on me but it doesn't! So weird!
I wonder if there is a big difference between the lotion and cream. I tested the cream on the back of my hand in store and found it to be SUPER strong. So strong in fact that that's why I chose not to purchase. Wow, and I just got to the part where you said you didn't get the spices from the lotion and for me that was by far the most dominant scent in the cream. It was very spice heavy, very similar to the fall pumpkin candles like Pumpkin Carving, just a little sweeter. I love those scents as a candle or room spray, but as a body scent they are too overwhelming for me and give me a headache after a while. I could still smell the PSC cream on my hand 6+ hrs later even after washing my hands!
I prefer the way Pumpkin Cupcake smells in the bottle, but it doesn't get along with my skin chemistry so unfortunately I can't wear it. It dries down on me with the same sour milk smell I get when I try to wear Strawberry Pound Cake. 😞
Both of these pumpkin scents are a miss for me, but on the other hand I am in love with Blueberry Bundt Cake. 💙💙💙 Can't wait to see your review on that. Thanks for the video!
So after trying the spray and having my sister try the spray, it was like two completely different scents me versus her! So it really goes to show this one only works for some body chemistries I guess! On me it was a barely noticable l, caramel milk scent. On her, it was stronger and longer lasting and smelled of a yummy pumpkin spice dessert. Lucky for her! 😂🎃🧁🤍 Not so lucky for me!

I smelled the new pumpkin swirl cake and was not impressed. It was very faint & not a scent that I enjoyed. My favorite, pumpkin scent is sweet, cinnamon pumpkin!

A no for both of them for me. I don’t like fall bath and body works scents other then Twilight Woods. Summer and winter are my favorites. Their spring fragrances are ok.
To me they’re are both so light I can barely smell them. I wish they were stronger to me. 😭
I agree, it doesn't work for my body chemistry which is super weird since I tend to smell really good in most gourmands. My sister tried it in and it smells so good on her, like pumpkin spice...long lasting on her skin too. On me, it was just like a faint caramel milk that faded immediately! 😩
