Thanks. Some people will stop at nothing to try and trick people into stuff. I got one of those comments but it was obvious it was fake. Lol right below it was your comment.
Just because you called ford and ram and over the phone they said yea we will take care of the issue means nothing it’s a stealer ship just like the Chevy dealer you went to they just want you to bring the truck in so they can look at it for a week and tell you it’s your problem and you have to pay for it ford and ram will do the same exact thing as the Chevy dealer.
I used to be a chevy tech. Warranty covers defects in gm's materials and workmanship. In order to deny a warranty we have to prove that the modifications directly caused the issue at hand. I can certainly tell you that the tires, wheels, exhaust, will not cause a lifter issue. Go through chevy customer service and have them set up the repairs. The problem is the dealership you took it too is worried about bouncing the claim.
Ford dealers are the same, but it's only if you get a good one, some are like this and won't cover anything if you so much as change emblems on it... but it's all covered under warranty, unless it can be proven. Exhaust is unlikely, especially if it's an axle back.
Exactly correct. Some dealers just don't want the headache from dealing with anything modified (even in the slightest) due to a bad wrap on certain mods customers do to their vehicles. I do think that, if his ZR2 is going to stay for the long haul, that he sends it over to LMR for a nice heads/cam package with a trans mod for him to take care of the 6.2L valve and lifter issue permanently and pick up more power. But that's worst case scenario in that GM won't cover his repairs from a factory perspective. Having a nice choppy ZR2 on the channel would probably get more views to say the least. Besides, LMR does cover their work done to the vehicles they upgrade.
Prime example happened recently, Mike's pulley went bad on his TRX, which is also "lightly modified" and off-roaded, and RAM covered it for him no questions asked.
What the dealership told you is illegal. They're legally required to prove that the modifications you made and how you used the truck had a direct contribution to the failure you're trying to fix under warranty before they void it.
Prove to who the customer, that is for a court. In his own video he said there was a little stumble when he test drove it but no dyeing or miss firing, he said a little stumble. Which by the way it looks bad why would somebody modify a improperly running vehicle, you would have it fixed first. His problems did not surface until he modified it, proof is in the pudding! He could put the OEM exhaust back on and see if the problem persists, then maybe yes. Next question will be was the break in procedure followed if not than another strike.
@@matthewgillies6936 a modified exhaust won't cause your lifters to go bad. All it does is make the truck louder. Even if you were right, the dealership has to definitively prove that the exhaust caused the lifter issue before they deny the warranty claim. It's the law. If they don't, then Bobby has the ability to sue them. Considering bad lifters is a known issue with the 6.2L V8, the exhaust had nothing to do with it. As for why he modified it before he got it fixed, two reasons: 1. He was told the problem would go away on its own, so he thought the truck was fine. 2. Us gearheads can't leave anything alone. If we own it, it's getting modified. No ifs ands or buts about it. If we're not modifying our vehicles, we're thinking about what mods we wanna do next.
@@matthewgaines10 People also do not realize why the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act was created. They act like it was created so people could run aftermarket performance parts and the dealers would have to prove there parts caused any failure.
It’s not the dealer. I had an issue with my Colorado ZR2 Bison. The dealer said the warranty was void because I drove it in mud (!!??!). It was on a public road, I wasn’t even off roading. I contacted GM and they were dreadful. They didn’t get back to me at all, despite chasing and chasing. Eventually they told me that they wouldn’t honor the warranty but refused to directly say why, or put their answer in writing. It is clearly their policy to delay and be as awkward as possible, on the principle that most customers will eventually give up. I explained the circumstances to my local Ford dealer who said that Ford would 100% definitely cover a car in the same circumstances. I sold the ZR2 and bought a Bronco.
That’s frustrating. Lifters are a widespread and well known issue in the new GM V8s. This should be a no questions asked repair under warranty. Exhaust and tires have nothing to do with the DFM lifters going bad.
I think they might be nervous about taking care of the repair since it'll most likely find its way to YT for all of us to view. We all know the lifter issue with the 6.2L, no stranger to it myself, modified or fully stock, this should be a "non issue" by GM to take care of.
Although it is mis diagnosed and not lifter failure. When the lifters fail on these trucks they will have an audible knock. If he was actually worried about his truck getting fixed he would look at my comment above. The TSB I mentioned is for surging under light throttle. It is more than like a failed magnet that controls the cam phaser.
@@TheWolfMatt not even a 6.2 problem. It’s any displacement on demand gm truck engine. I’ve replaced many stuck lifters on these engines. The worst part is GM is fully aware, but doesn’t care.
If not he issue was noticed on the test drive O would have not went through with the purchase. If something does not feel right from the start I stay away from it even if it is brand new. I have never had any issues with Chevy. Always have had excellent customer service.
Time to lawyer up. By law they have to prove the modifications directly caused the problem. In this case you have your videos describing the problem right after you got it so there can be no doubt nothing you did caused it. I can understand the ABS wire issue with the Colorado. While the damage occurred due to a bad design, they couldn't prove it was from the part actually being damaged, not a defective part. Driving through brush like you did isn't exactly something that normally occurs while off-roading. I still think the argument that it could just as easily have happened on a construction sight or whatever because they designed it with the wire hanging down in harms way but at least they have some argument for it. With the Silverado there's no way anything you've done could have damaged the lifters even if you didn't have evidence it's been a problem since day one. By admitting there is a problem and saying they won't repair it under warranty they are violating federal law.
Just he can just make him take it back as a lemon if you want to 5.3L whatever the 6.2L he has is defective he's pretty well explained that like you said the guy that sold it to him felt that way during the test drive. I know you can't get another ZR2 package because that's 6.2L only but if you want to 5.3L or 6.0L or a six-cylinder model for my Chevy giving the money back completely and get a Ford or a Dodge Ram or a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra trucks of lemon. "Trucks of lemon"
@Coyote Car Reviews please comment in on what I actually said about the truck being a lemon and the dealership not wanting to fix his truck can you please comment to Bobby that that's the situation he's in or if you ain't know anyone except your GMC help him. 👍 Also I don't care about punctuation and grammar just trying to help the brother out. 😀 👍 So in your opinion should his future brother-in-law have to pay to fix the truck or Bobby's father or the company that sold on the defective truck so lemon yes. 😀👍
@Coyote Car Reviews Do you care about the person whose video you watched and the situation he's in. I'm not sure if you do since you're saying this to me but not something to him to help the man out.
@@nobodynoone2500 other people have stated the 6.2 L are known to be defective so I feel it is a required to be replaced or refunded but if not his problem any other suggestions if you don't believe he could get out of it that way. 😀😀👍👍
My valve cover gasket was leaking on my bone stock 2017 Rav4, and the dealership wouldn't fix it. They all suck now... it's 2022 and this is the new normal
This is a teachable moment: 1. Don’t believe a salesman 2. New vehicles don’t sound like trash until they are “broken in” 3. Don’t take delivery on a vehicle that has demonstrated drivability issues. 4. Don’t mod a vehicle with unresolved drivability issues. 5. If the dealer, not the manufacturer rejects a warranty issue, go to another dealer. The buyer made a lot of unforced errors.
So true! A salesman is not a mechanic and usually has no idea how cars work. They will blame ANY issue on break in. There is no such thing as break in period any more, with the exception of suspension alignment during the first 500 miles of the car. While going to another dealer is not a bad option, usually if one dealer declined the repair, they'll put it online, so that all dealerships are aware. Your better option is to ask the dealer which declined it, or the second dealership to escalate it and get their dealer Rep involve, or call the customer assistance people and ask them to provide help and get the Dealer Rep involved
@@willpina Dealerships are like snowflakes. Each is different. One won't touch a car with mods while another will work on the same car up to the limits. Some will even advise removing easy to remove mods before bringing it in for a major issue.
@@matthewgaines10 the problem with dealerships now, specially GM, is that if one dealer works on a modified vehicle without noting it down, and then another dealership flags it as a modified vehicle and gets it blocked, then the first dealership could get back flagged for the repairs they did. That's why dealership are very cautious now, specially if they didn't sell the vehicle
I'd have left that junk sitting on the lot...🐃💩like this is why I left Chevrolet 30 years...never had an issue with the old GM muscle cars, but I never had any luck with a GM truck...after being drug home by my neighbors Ford, I bought one and never looked back...no, I'm not a brand loyalist, but I insist on reliability...Ram has a couple of cool trucks and GM has good looking trucks...that being said, I ain't never walked home because of any of my Ford trucks leaving me stranded...
Bring to a different dealership, mine covered me with a lift, tires CAI and wheels. no issues at all. They can’t deny a warranty for items not associated with the item that is failing, wheels tires exhaust does not hurt the lifters. Check out the lawsuit warranty , can’t recall the actual name of lawsuit.
In South Carolina is having the same problem with the 6.2 and they say it’s thing you where saying. And the they would fix it. Your where right about what you said
I hope you get the Silverado ZR2 engine issues sorted before the trip. Try bringing it to Whitmoyer. As to the possibility of a Colorado ZR2 giveaway, I'd be on that like a pack of dogs on a 3 legged cat. 😁
I have a 2019 grand Cherokee and I’ve had so much warranty work done you might consider my car a lemon. I have done wheels, tires, lift, and even some engine mods such as a bigger throttle body, intake, and coil packs. Every time I have an issue they have covered it under the warranty and I’m at 52k miles
Had the same issue with my ‘21 6.2 z71 . Lifter issues at 8k miles and then spun a main bearing at 11k miles . Gm agreed to a full rebuild of the engine .
And this is why I moved away from my chevy and ford. I just got so tired of fighting with the company and dealerships. It felt like I was dealing with lawyers not people. They worked harder in finding a way out of fixing my trucks then just fixing it and having a happy customer. A happy customer is a repeat customer.
@@canalesivany I got a Ram but after two years the transmission went out so in 2015 I got a Tundra 5.7 crewmax with tow package. I still have it with 109,000 on her and no problems. I’m liking this Toyota thing except the mpg isn’t so hot. 17 highway and 8 or 10 towing.

I put a carbed 5.9 magnum in it, it’ll be running for my kids after I’m gone.
Check out magnussen warranty lawsuit, not sure on spelling? But they can’t void your warranty for an aftermarket item installed that is not directly related to the issue that is law.
When my engine blew in my old 2014 ram ecodiesel with high mileage almost out of warranty they still cover it just had to show that the oil changes were done on my 2018 Ram Ecodiesel I was doing 4wd snow donuts and blew up the transfer case it was covered and I had 305 55 20 on it not a issue but my 2018 chevrolet equinox diesel it's like pulling teeth to get them to fix I have been waiting since January 2022 to have my rear drive shaft replaced
This is a fear of mine. I currently have 2 motorcycles and 1 truck under factory warranties. I love doing big and small mods on my vehicles. But I cannot imagine spending time and money modding a new vehicle before having the dealer address the warranty claim that you say was noticed since the very first test drive.
I daily a 41 year old jeep. I make it to work everyday, better yet if it breaks all i need is a small toolbox about the size of a small cooler and half a brain and i can fix it. Yes it has broken, no its never left me stranded, even when i dropped a driveshaft i uninstalled it, and drove it home on the front wheels (4wd)
yes.. lifter issues since 2007 with the 5.3s.... I have a 2011 GMC with the 5.3 with 350K miles and it barely had lifter collapsed lifter.. $2.5k issued was fixed. Runs like a champ..
Look up Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I'd also possibly lawyer up. These issues have definitely made me look to other manufactures for my buying decisions.
2020 Trail Boss owner here. Driver side mirror shakes and rattles above 65mph can’t even look at it w/o getting a headache. Dealer took it above 65mph and confirmed the shaking on the driver side mirror while the passenger side mirror sits perfectly still. Service manager states AVS lightshield on hood is the reason. They agreed to and replaced actuator on the driver side mirror with the lightshield installed. Got the truck back and the driver side mirror still shakes just as much. Dealer told me I needed to remove the lightshield before they could service the driver side mirror any further…
At the time I purchased my new truck I had considered the Colorado over the Tacoma and ranger. I ended up going for the Tacoma and after 30 months I've never had a single problem with the truck. It's just comical to be having those kinds of problems at such low miles.
Same here. Our Chevy Malibu was complete junk. Sold it, got the wife an Acura. No problems so far. Then older Monte Carlo trans crapped on me at 130,000. Needed a truck and wanted something that lasts. Bought a Tacoma, love this truck. 21,000 miles on it and no problems so far.
Look up the Magnuson Moss act. It basically says that the manufacturer has to prove your mods cause the failure to deny coverage. My 2021 1500 5.3 had cat back exhaust and 2 intake mods and was covered by warranty when my lifters failed, they replaced all the lifters on the right bank.
As others have said Chevy should have to cover your truck. I modified my Camaro a few years back with larger wheels and tires the rear blew up. Took it back and they covered it with no problems. Either call Chevy or go to another dealership that will do their job and honor the warranty.
As many others have said here, take it to another dealer. Had an issue with a dealer here, brake sensor warning light came on with lots of meat left on the pads (dealer confirmed 7mm) instead of fixing it the 3 times I brought it in for, called it an anomaly. Toon to another dealer, did software update, didn’t fix, then they replaced wear sensors and it was good to go. Overall some dealers are not as supportive as others, don’t be afraid by there words and get a second opinion.
Thats so frustrating! From my experience chevy has shitty warranty, I've had issues and some friends have had issues with coverage as well with bone stock trucks. I've had similar issues with my dodge as well after I had exhaust and stuff. And then ford covered mine from a faulty sensor even though I had way more mods on my truck :p
I just purchased a 2022 chevy as well, it's getting a 6" lift installed in 2 days. Makes me nervous they are trying to get out of fixing a known lifter issue in these trucks.
It’s been a known problem for over ten years. Why anyone buys gm these days is beyond me. Their small overhead cam engines love to chew cams and load the material into vvt solenoids.
Sometimes I think dealerships do that because they simply don't want to work on it. I don't know of I would stick with gm after this issue. If you get to talk to gm not just the dealership and they say it's covered id tell gm that the dealership you took it to says it's not covered
Had a 2018 jeep jk that steering went out on at 4800 miles. Dealer stated "jeeps weren't designed to have those "big" tires on them." They were 35s, like the others that were brand new being sold on their lot. After researching, they found out, jeep steering box went out, on a test drive at 38 miles. I bought it with 75 miles. Jeep changed pump first time, leaving all the metal shavings to continue to fliw thru system. Idiots finally replaced pump, reservoir, and lines. Amazing the b.s. they try to come up with
Man that sucks for you. I'm surprised that you are still so loyal to Chevy with so many issues with them. I used to be die hard GMC and had 6 over the yrs. Had a motor go out at 64k miles and had to replace. Moved to Ford F150 and haven't looked back. Forget brands, just drive what you like best unless they sponsor you. No reason to be loyal when you are just $$ to them!
Chris, you better hope you don’t have the well known hydro boost problems, or the turbo manifold issues the egoboost trucks can have. They’re fun as hell to drive, but expensive to fix.
@@throbbinwoodofcoxley6830 🤞 nothing major yet. I bought brand new in 13 and just clicked over 130k miles this week. Overall been a really solid truck and hope it continues since I can't afford a new one!! The next will be a F250 Powerstroke and they are stupid expensive right now!
I had a lift kit, bigger tires, programmer etc on a ram and they still covered stuff under warranty. I even buried in mud pit and did quick pressure wash day before went in one time.
@@kevinmeldrum1 Dude, we’re talking small changes here. An exhaust isn’t going to cause that much of a difference. Just let’s it breathe better. Sure wheels make the engine work a little harder, but no harder than towing evan a small load?
@@brandondarnes3699 I agree, but it's still a change. The dealership is treating a customer poorly, and they should repair his truck. But they will use the tires and exhaust against him. Which is BS.

There is only one vehicle I know of that allows off-roading and it will not void your warranty... Subaru. They actually encourage it. Most truck warranties are void if you even drive down a dirt road. It's ridiculous.
most of the trucks they sell either have transmission issues or lifter issue's.......I would imagine dealers are being pressured by GM to find reasons to void warranties for these issues.
I went with a 3.0 diesel in my high country. Had a 21 ltz that didn’t the fuel management system that cut cylinders but was also a 5.3. Gas mileage sucked as to why I bought the diesel. Things happen when too many electronics control anything. Exhaust doesn’t void warranty. I did it on a 2007 Chevrolet at 500 miles and they said do it and bring it by to let us hear. No void
My 5.3 threw the Lifters at 11k miles and they had it fixed in 2 days at my local Chevy Dealership and the truck already had an exhaust and different wheel/tire setup. Just sounds like they’re not wanting to eat the cost of parts and labor
this isn't how the Magnuson Moss act works... tires and exhaust can't void warranty unless the dealership can prove those specific modifications caused the failure. I don't buy that a dealer wouldn't cover the engine due to exhaust/tires
@@Danman1972 You are correct ! I just looked it up and it seems it is just in the 4 cylinder . Well hopefully its just a freak lifter problem and it not a major problem with a bunch of trucks sold already .

We replaced that one for you too under warranty." This thing was lifted, on 35s, aftermarket bumpers, winch, lights, radio, etc. tree scratches all down the sides of it, sliders all used hard underneath. They never gave me even a hint of trouble about warranty work or service. I am not all love for that Wrangler or Jeep as a whole, but I certainly can't complain about that level of service.
Thank you for this video. I was looking at the Silverado, I like the truck. But my thing isn't the issues you're having, it's chevy's commitment to their customers. Because of this "who don't it" attitude from Chevy, I won't buy another one! Light mods should never void warranty if the engine wasn't touched. The other reason I'm not buying another Chevy is because of an exhaust void the warranty, that vehicle was not built well to begin with. Thank you again because I would have done the same mods.

All the OEMs are working on getting rid is dealerships sales department and transferring all car buying experience online, like Tasla. They will still have certified dealership open will maintainance
The warranty states, you can change any oem parts on the engine voids warranty. Also in all warranty I know off reading damage is not coverage. Even extended warranties do not cover any modifications or off reading damage
GM would have to prove that the mods caused the failure, in order to void the warranty. And it wouldn't void the ENTIRE warranty, so for example an exhaust, wheels, and tires wouldn't void the warranty for an electrical problem
SHEESH. I’m with the dealer on the Colorado ABS sensor issue, but THIS issue is 100% on them. The kind of money we pay for vehicles now days and they’re just trash. I would be going to a different dealer or contact GM directly, but HELL NO to paying out of pocket.
My father in-law works at a Chevy dealership, and he said the 5.3 and 6.2 are constantly in due to lifter issues. They are now using cheap parts in these vehicles and are constantly blaming the customer.
Hmm, I've got about 5k miles on my 2022 Silverado Ltd (2021 rollover model) 6.2L Trail Boss, and I've not had a single issue. I've also added intake, oil catch can, cat back exhaust along with other stuff. I've not had a single issue, and even though 99% of the time I baby it, and have achieved 26.3MPG, I do have fun with the occasional flat foot time. My truck at 2 miles on the odometer when I bought it new from the dealership, and I didn't have a single issue. First WOT was done at about 270 miles on the odometer. REVISIONS: Uhh....sounds like you need a reprogram of the ECM, not a engine issue. If there was a engine issue, and the lifters (for the DFM) failed, it wouldn't sound like that. That 'power loss' you're getting, sounds controlled, not mechanical. I think you should rethink your issue, and maybe see if there's something else causing your problem too like possible bad fuel, but sounds like PCM is controlling the issue.
My home town dealership said they would not fix the tpms sensors bc I put ten ply tires on my Silverado that they installed but I took it to another dealership and had zero issues and they replaced my water pump with aftermarket exhaust just have to have factory cats still on it
Maybe I had good luck back in the day with my GM trucks but I was not only never denied warranty services but on both my 2002 1500 and 2004 2500, I was given an extended "goodwill" warranty on the intermediate steering shaft because it was a POS that needed to be disassembled and greased every 15-20k miles because it would bind. Both trucks lifted, exhausts, tuned! I'm a Mopar fan nowadays but GM took care of me. Try called them direct and they should advise the dealership how to proceed.
First off, the ONLY thing adding exhaust could void warranty wise, would be emissions related. Second, sounds like that specific dealership just doesn't want to take on the warranty work. They'd rather hope you accept what they say forcing you to pay out of pocket, which benefits them in a big way. I'm very happy you contacted Chevy directly! They know this is a known issue, and considering the miles as well as the fact that you mentioned this issue in the very first vid posted with the truck, there's absolutely no reason for them to deny you. I had an 09 G8 GT, which was known to have issues with the DOD. Older version of what you're dealing with. I was getting lifter noises and the local Pontiac dealer replaced the bad lifters. They didn't wait till the motor blew up. Only thing I didn't like, was that they only replaced the bad lifters instead of doing them all. Nonetheless, it was fixed under warranty. The only thing I hate about ford is the roadside assistance on their new trucks. They call around and severely undercut the local tow trucks and when no one answers they just call back and say sorry. Had a truck blow up in - 15 weather at midnight. (To be fair we were pulling a 22ft in closed trailer at 70 pulling hills. ) and they took an hour to get back saying no. We called a tow truck and for 2 of them it only costed $300 and ford wouldn’t pay that.
My 2015 when it was new it used 4 to 5 quarts of oil between change's and chevy said that was normal consumption they said up to 1 quart per 1000 miles is considered normal.
I pulled a guy off of a busy highway w/my Ram, he had this beautiful brand new maroon Z72 Silverado that was just completely dead in the middle of the road, said it was showing some kind of EPC light or something. Felt bad for the guy, I’m a Mopar guy but not gonna lie those trucks look nice af

Took the words out of my mouth.
He is right! Keep fighting Bobby!
Yep your so right. That dealership sucks.
He’s also spent a few hundred thousand dollars at that dealer too. Even if they did his repairs outta pocket they’d still be ahead
@@MintMonte87ACSS312 he actually bought the trx at a different dealer from where he gets it serviced at
What the dealership told you is illegal. They're legally required to prove that the modifications you made and how you used the truck had a direct contribution to the failure you're trying to fix under warranty before they void it.
Yup! This! In violation of federal law if they don’t cover for the reasons they say. SCOTUS even ruled on it.
As for why he modified it before he got it fixed, two reasons:
1. He was told the problem would go away on its own, so he thought the truck was fine.
2. Us gearheads can't leave anything alone. If we own it, it's getting modified. No ifs ands or buts about it. If we're not modifying our vehicles, we're thinking about what mods we wanna do next.
You really don’t know how the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act actually works in real life.
Definitely going to need the warranty on the bronco.
@@APatchworkCanvas you spelled Escape wrong, lolz.
Duncan, I hope you enjoy your Escape in mens clothing.
I agree. Has nothing to do with it and can’t cause issues. I’ve been fortunate with my 22 trail boss. 22k miles and solid.
@@TheWolfMatt not even a 6.2 problem. It’s any displacement on demand gm truck engine. I’ve replaced many stuck lifters on these engines. The worst part is GM is fully aware, but doesn’t care.

Yeah that blows my mind that he bought it after feeling the stuttering in the test drive lol

This is a teachable moment:
1. Don’t believe a salesman
2. New vehicles don’t sound like trash until they are “broken in”
Also, don’t buy the first gen of anything.

Do you know if mpg stays the same ? Also requires retune I think these 2022 are blocked from tuning
When I had my Jeep JK, I blew up the power steering pump being stuck in the mud. I sheepishly took it in to them and they covered it under warranty with NO QUESTIONS. I went to pick it up and the service manager says to me "Looks like while you were out there, you bashed your transmission pan on something. It was cracked and leaking.
Was seriously considering a 2022 at4x. Not after seeing this video.
Sierra or canyon?
@@Itsrang Sierra was the plan. But maybe I'll see how the engines in the canyons turn out.
That's sad what GM has become... No longer built like a rock like back in the 90's and 00's. Fail
Gm "we're in the business of making money. We make money by building cars"
@@williamsinger4124 We make money building shitty f'n cars...
@@sykwookiee plain pitiful ain't it? I have a 92 formula WS6, a 91 Beretta gt that I've had since 97, an 89 Z24 convertible, among others that simply do what they're asked with very minimal complaints. Nowadays you're lucky to get 100k out of a gm product.
@@williamsinger4124 I've always had Ford trucks and Pontiac/ Chevy cars...still have my F150 I bought new in '08...my sons Chevy 1500, new in 2010, is in the shop more than it's in his driveway...he keeps telling me how much Ford sucks...ok...my cars have been sold off, but I hear that the '67 Bonneville is still running mint...and the '72 Chevelle as well...I watch a lot of UA-cam car guys who are Chevy all the way...except for the tow rigs that are stone reliable, Ford, Ford, and Ford....I'm not a brand loyalist, I drive what is reliable...I love all the fast hotrods from all of the manufacturers, but when they break, me and my Ford truck go out and drag their shit home...
@@sykwookiee I have a few Ford products as well. And a few Japanese too. Funny how people will shit talk a certain brand until needed huh.
Isnt there a class action lawsuit against gm for v8 lifter failure? One of the reasons i got my sierra in the 2.7L 4 cylinder turbo motor.
U should call GM directly I think it's a dealership thing. How could a muffler or tires cause lifter issues. And yes I would like to get a shot at the Colorado!
Did you ask Beaver if he could help? I can't imagine that you wouldn't ask him. What did his dealership say?
"Chevy refuses to fix my truck but I'm still going to stick with them even tho their shit trucks keep breaking on me" is basically what I heard..... No offense Bobby but do you hear how stupid that sounds? I know my opinion doesn't matter to you and you will do what you want, which is fine, you should, but I think you need to switch to Ford or Dodge, at least give it a try. After that if you still choose Chevy, at least you can say you gave the others a shot and know what is best for you.
True he should try
It feels like all of this is made up for views honestly.
Hearing this makes me not want to buy a new Chevy, the fact that it's having any trouble at all with barely any miles is crazy to me! Then the price that the dealership charges for repairs is mind blowing! Good luck getting this figured out hopefully Chevy will do the right thing and cover it!
It’s simple don’t ever buy a Chevy buy a Ford Toyota etc just not any gm products
i would fight for this
Talking about property taxes. In colts neck nj, those properties are very similar and they pay 25-30k a year in property taxes. 12-15k a year is pretty normal throughout NJ
I bought a 09 Silverado with low miles full warranty. Motor blew they denied warranty due to being a few hundred miles over oil change.
Definitely do the giveaway, I’ve been looking forward to it the most!
We have a 2017 Yukon XL Denali with a 6.2 and 8 speed. We had some studdering/ vibration which was the transmission. The 6.2 has been great but the 8 spd transmission sucks! Nothing but problems even after they replaced the transmission.
I left chevy and went to toyota got a 2021 trd pro tundra and i love it. Got tired of having problems with chevy.
You're right they need four wheel drives is all off-road trucks and if you take them off road it should not void your warranty I agree with you 100%
Thanks dude I was gonna buy that same truck and I wanted a aftermarket exhaust, but after this video I bought a ford F1-50
Same thing is happening to my 2014 sierra, if it has the dod/afm it needs to be deleted and the engine rebuilt
Good luck with all manufacturers. Seems they all just suck. After our Escalade is fixed and we sell it, I will be going to old cars and trucks.
"Seems they all just suck". Truth. Even when you pay big money now you can't buy quality.
My home town dealership said they would not fix the tpms sensors bc I put ten ply tires on my Silverado that they installed but I took it to another dealership and had zero issues and they replaced my water pump with aftermarket exhaust just have to have factory cats still on it
Thanks to this video I'll will never buy a chevy truck again. Toyota is getting my business from now on.
Dealers just don’t want to fix big problems right now. Not exactly sure why.
Keep us posted on what Chevy says and good luck brotha
Not just 6.2’s! It happened to my 21 1500 with the 5.3. Only 4000 miles! My dealer fixed it tho! Replaced all lifters
My 21 is in the process of getting the 3rd engine installed
I have a 2020 chevy colorado crew cab z71 and I had the brain go out on it and it was covered
Thank God I saw this because I was going to buy one.... I'm out back to ford....
Why would you by a vehicle that stutters on a test drive? Major clue?
I pulled a guy off of a busy highway w/my Ram, he had this beautiful brand new maroon Z72 Silverado that was just completely dead in the middle of the road, said it was showing some kind of EPC light or something. Felt bad for the guy, I’m a Mopar guy but not gonna lie those trucks look nice af
