Which AIP Lifestyle factors are most important to your autoimmune wellness?? Any lifestyle factors that trigger a flare for you when they get off?? I'm super sensitive to sleep and stress!

I just found your channel, thank you for your gentle and positive encouragement, I feel much more hopeful after watching your videos, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in June and my doctor literally told me nothing except to take daily medication, I’m just now starting to learn everything I can do to start helping myself and it’s a little lonely doing it on my own.

You're welcome Sasha! I feel you - it can feel so lonely! Many of us do not know anyone in our "real" lives who truly understand. Thankfully, there is a loving community of Hashimoto's warriors here online. Reach out anytime. Sending you so much love and support!

💙💙💙super helpful! Great motivation and reminders...it's easy to fall back into unhelpful habits little by little. Also, I forget how hard this can be and to stay kind to myself when I'm having a flare. Thank you 💙💙💙

Hi Shanna, thank u so much for information u r providing. I have a query, how did u confirm that autoimmune is under control after following AIP Paleo diet. Hv u done any diagnosis after the diet and after how long of diet started

Hi Abeda! You're welcome, and such great questions! So a couple of things...the number one thing I go by is how I feel / my symptoms. Meaning, my symptoms before AIP were very intense and overwhelming. My symptoms improved remarkably after starting AIP. I did not change anything else and was not on medicine. In fact, I stopped taking over the counter pain relievers. As far as lab testing, I have Hashimoto's. My antibodies test prior to AIP was higher than it is when I was tested a few months ago. So my antibodies decreased substantially. If you work with a functional medical doctor, or your medical team, they can help you with lab tests and monitoring. There's different ways of monitoring different autoimmune diseases. Also, some people with Hashimoto's do not see a change in their antibodies even if they feel remarkably better, and some see drastic changes in their antibodies.

I went from running 1/2 marathons to having to make sure I limit my time spent walking. Aerobic activity is not my friend right now.

Ohhhh how I feel you!! It's soooo frustrating! And sometimes a long process. My heart is with you...we got this! One step at a time. Literally. ;)

Would you ever consider creating a meal plan for a week and taking us through how you prepare? I get so, so overwhelmed working FT and feel powerless. Then add a husband and a toddler who both have different tastes and needs when it comes to food/nutrition. Do you coach patients virtually? I know...a lot of questions. 😕

Hi Trish! Great questions! Yes, I will consider creating a meal plan for a week and walking you through preparation. Yes, I do one on one coaching virtually, and LOVE! You can click here for more info on that and email me at hello@shannanemrow.com if you are interested in one on one coaching: mcusercontent.com/dc9b8f262ea125c58bbb7fdea/files/a70d292e-d0d2-4b4e-a348-141e789de9fb/One_on_One_Coaching_with_Shanna.pdf. I also have an online course and group coaching program and you can click here for more info on that: shanna-nemrow-a1b5.mykajabi.com/aip-1-2-3. Please know you are not alone! Change is hard. Really hard! Especially when working FT and different family dietary preferences. It takes time to work through and find what works best for you in your life, based on your family needs and bio-individual needs. I'd be so honored to be part of your wellness journey!
