Shanna! So happy for the update, travel tips and weight loss update! I started about the same time as you , feels like living parallel lives. A couple things I started is the LifeSum food tracking app. Realized I had been eating way too much fat, (coconut milk, and avocados, not enough fiber/ water). Now eating balanced meals and lower calorie, added an extra mile to my walk. But Also, a Stress Complex by Silver Fern Brand, (definitely a game changer). Altogether feel much better and if I stick to the plan should be back to weight goal end of January.
Thank you for sharing. It is refreshing to hear I am not alone on the journey through autoimmune diseases. There will be days of struggle, not feeling our best, and weight gain. Your "comeback" videos have been motivating as I, too, am getting back to where I was before. On another note, I will be flying in a few months and am wondering if you travel with your recipes and spices to prepare in the hotel? We normally travel by car, and I have my cooler filled with my prepared meals, but I won't have the same travel conveniences when I fly. I am already stressing over packing because I also need to bring my own bed and bath linens and soaps due to allergies.
What a wonderful trip with your mum and aunt🥰. I love to stroll by the sea too. After moving to the south of Sweden we only have less then a ten minutes walk to the sea. The sound and smell of the water is so relaxing. Yesterday we went on a longer trip (285 miles) with the car and it’s so nice to heat the food in the car with the Hot Logic👌🏻. It makes the life so much easier for us with autoimmune issues. I’ve had it for about two years and I love it. I actually have two, one for indoor and one for the car😉. I’ve also made a change in life last week to get more relaxed… I’ve skipped FB and IG and I feel so relieved. It took to much time that I rather would like to spend on my health. Love and hugs 🤗 Beatrice
Thank you so much for sharing Beatrice! Less than a ten minute walk to the sea sounds amazing! Being at the sea just calms my nervous system in the best way and I love that you can access the sea daily! It sounds like you're loving your hot logic as much as I do. Having two is a great idea! I have a casserole size hot logic for larger items, heating meals for more than one, and for holiday casserole travel ;) then I have my little travel size hot logic. I love the idea of keeping one in the car! Thank you for sharing how you've skipped FB and IG as well as how supportive that's felt! GREAT JOB tuning into what feels supportive to you and making adjustments that are aligned with what feels supportive. I'm very sensitive to social media and have to be so careful. I love taking regular social media detoxes...so great for my nervous system. WAY TO GO! Love and hugs to you too!!
@@so3402 you’re so welcome! It was so amazing to learn all about the sea turtles and get to be part of it. Thank you for sharing your goal! We are virtual walking buddies!! ❤️❤️
Shanna is so good to see you! Thank you for sharing your journey! It came at the perfect time for me because something similar happened to me at the end of the NTP school with you. I gained weight and haven't been able to lose it. Now I'm inspired by you (again!!! :)) Can'r wait to see the recipes videos! Big virtual hug and blessings.
@@monicalugo934 it’s so great to connect with you Monica! Thank you for sharing part of your story too. We are all stronger together and I’m inspired by y’all too! I’ll work on getting those recipe videos together in the coming weeks. BIG virtual hugs to you too and lots of blessings. 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you for sharing this journey with us! I deal with hashimoto's and I also have to worry about what to eat when we go anywhere! I definitely want to invest in a hot logic. The place you stayed at looks incredible! I'm glad you got some relaxing family time🥰🙏 Ohhh and please do share the recipes with us!
You're so welcome Stacy! I just made the meatballs and chicken salad yesterday and filmed it so I could share the recipes with you :) I'll edit the footage this week, then my new UA-cam video will be out on Friday or Saturday - most likely Saturday :)
What is your favourite smoothie right now? We have about two more weeks before peak colour in Mid Michigan. My 23 yr old is coming home to visit for the weekend. My 2 yr old is doing great in potty training😅. Your vacation looks fantastic and beautiful. I have been cleaning things back up in my diet thanks to you sharing your journey. It's very encouraging.
@@sarahrobinson2969 That’s amazing Sarah! It makes my heart so happy that sharing my journey feels supportive! Thanks for sharing with me and our community here! So excited you hopefully have two weeks of beautiful weather before colors peak. I’m in the car heading out of town to see my daughter run her first marathon tomorrow but am hoping to catch our peak colors when I get back and share them with y’all. A visit from your daughter this weekend sounds amazing! And a HUGE congrats on the potty training - BIG win!! Have the best weekend. ❤️❤️
@@normawalters4494 Thank you for sharing! So happy to hear that you were able to get that extra layer of support and praying SO hard that the financial assistance comes through. I think of you everytime I see a Skyrizi commercial and send up a prayer that you’ll get that assistance. That copay just blows my mind. Big hugs!!
Hi Shanna! Thank you for sharing. I’ve been loving your videos and find them so encouraging. When you fly and have to take supplements on the plane, do you keep them in their bottles or have them separated in the daily dividing case? I’m travelling soon and have them out of the bottles but then I thought maybe security won’t let me bring them like that 🤔
Hi Katie! I'm so glad you're loving my videos and find them encouraging - thanks for letting me know!! As far as the supplements, I've actually done it both ways. I prefer to put the supplements in a travel case (like a meds organizer) but if I don't have time, I'll just pack the bottles. I've never had an issue with supplements getting through security either way. I've checked them in my bag before too. Happy travels!!
Hi Lauren! So the frozen smoothie ingredients totally would have made it through security...I remembered that I've taken frozen soup through security before. However, I ended up leaving it at home as I realized my NutriBullet Flip wouldn't have made it through security (it has a battery so I couldn't check it but I couldn't carry it on due to the blades). We stayed at an air bnb that didn't have a working blender so we went and bought an inexpensive traditional plug in Magic Bullet to use for that week, then I brought it home in my checked bag. I actually really love the Magic Bullet for single servings of smoothies and for mixing single servings of protein shakes.
How's your week going?! How are you feeling?! I'd love to hear and am also happy to answer any questions you have at all!

Had my 1st Skyrizi injection for my Psoriasis. Waiting on approval for financial assistance for $3000 copay. It's already helped some of my fatigue!
