But when we have CM's and senior ministers/Mp's ridiculing women driving out late, Fringe elements beating up women for wearing jeans or going to a bar , it is these elements that need to be tackled firmly and educated. It is indeed ironic that in a year four Navaratri is celebrated in praise of the Goddess and women are treated so dastardly. The society and the cultural beliefs have to change. Return of investment seems to be of utmost importance. Parents have very low beliefs that boys are some sort of security which l very much doubt and that a girl child is just a burden. Change the mindset. Boys and girls should be brought up on equal footing. Correct an errant boy from day one. Teach a boy child to learn to respect every woman. Dignity and respect towards women unfortunately needs to be begged for. We need more people who can openly speak and analyse the minds of both sexes. Please wake up mothers take charge of building the character of your sons, and teach them young.
