Good morning Reverend. It’s good to see you holding forth on the centrality of Truth- which is Christ. As you have rightly said, Christianity- like most other religions- has become ossified to the extent we can consider our clergy and bishops to be extensions of Pharisees with a Pharisaical approach to life and living. The truth in its absolute form requires a fearlessness that can come about only when one reposes faith in God to the extent of not knowing when and where we might be able to get our next meal or what might happen to us at the very next moment. Placing oneself in God’s Hands requires absolute trust and hope in His mercies- something we all desperately need. It’s a truism that we do not know or understand-that our very existence is a function of the mercies shown to us by Him and our continued trust in him will help us to set ourselves free from the shackles of organised religion. The truth- and its portents- are difficult to absorb and digest. The reason for the impediments in the absorption and ingestion of truths spring mainly from a doubt as to how we might carry ourselves the moment we are thrown out or disregarded by the establishment. The inability to stand or walk alone and what might happen if we dare walk alone- the loneliness that might follow us if we indeed dare walk alone- are aspects that are too frightening for any person with average sensibilities to accept and profess. Long years ago, as a teenager, I do recall reading Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago” and recall being overwhelmed by it- I do recall a fresh bout of tears and copious amounts of it- being shed by me- on reading about the horrific set of situations he had to face for being a Christian in a country that was then dedicated to obliterating every trace of it. Since then, I resolved that I would be like him- that I would walk along the straight and narrow; that I would hold on to the Truth come what may; with the faith that He will lead me on. Decades later, I found that I was relatively free from the the moral and spiritual abrasions that could result from being trapped within the confines of an establishment’s untruths and the sin that accompanied from being untrue- and am in still better shape financially and otherwise. We always tend to forget that “He will carry us through “ : lines from a famous hymn that we need to sing and repeat. In the end, the only thing that matters is the truth: a truism missed by the white cassocked specimens and the red gowned peacocks who also call themselves bishops. Where survival and excellence are reckoned as noble virtues the Psyche adopts exploitation (sin=S+I+N= act of bringing into the Psyche from the environment ) as normal. Jesus teaching of REPENTANCE is about stopping the exploitation of the little neighbor. Kingdom of God is the idea of “treating the little neighbor as King God”. To my mind and best of understanding being born again essentially means being freed from the radical slavery of Sin. It has its impact on our systems too. So it is the duty of a born again child to fight against personal as well as systemic sins.when we are truly born again we get the power from the most high to do both.

If it is merely coming out of the so called religious bondage, as he explained, then what was the necessity for Jesus to die on the cross? Why would Jesus ask or command the disciples to go and preach the GOSPEL to every creature? Bible clearly tells us what is meant by being born again.
