Savor this moment friends, for this mission is the last time we ever see Jim THE MAN Raynor and Praetor Fenix Wright together, as well as the last time we ever see THE MAN on his Vulture.
Well, last mission where they both appear on the map in-person, at least.
3:16 the mutalisk was kind enough to save the probe from its seizures
Protoss colors:
Brown: Executor
Yellow: Artanis
Red: Aldaris
The greatest duo, The Man and Crab Man
Jimmy after saying he's a man of action: "I'll be seein' ya."
That probe was saved by a few mutalisks 🤣
zerg: "our mutalisks will blot out the sun"
protoss "then we will fight in the storms"
Dat insult tho... Truly, your friends represent what is greatest in us all.
4:24 From this point it's like the zerg sent all the mutalisks they had, like poking a hornet's nest.
What the hell was that battle at the expansion? That was so many freaking mutalisks.
Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate…
Contact with Draliska and Raynor is lost in the chaos of the evacuation, and detachments from the Captain, Stukov, and the Elite Guard are dispatched to set up camp while searching for the local UED forces. Protoss follow them, but so do the local UED Agents a while after as Stukov gives some cliff notes on their enemy. Davis also detects transmissions that Raynor and Draliska are trying to retake the Warp Gate from the Protoss.
But after the forces around the Warp Gate have been cleared, Raynor and Draliska have decided to shut down the gate on their side to prevent the Protoss from (more easily) swarming Braxis. Kagg is a bit miffed since they don't have the numbers for this, but when Davis delivers what reinforcements she can, it's decided perhaps they can rebuild their Brood enough after all.
In which the Executor's probes have a seizure when they learn we're losing Raynor and Fenix.
Jim is THE MAN... Of action.
that probe is having a bad day
he is the man of action indeed
the probe stuck behind an invisible barrier and the cannon is a common frustration.
6:17 that many Overlords moving WITH PURPOSE looks *menacing*
4:35 This screen shocked me, because the eggs are so tanky i always thought it immune to spells
oh look, it's the only mission so far proven to be unbeatable without increasing supply
What always bugged me in Brood War protoss campaign is that after just losing the Overmind (a.k.a. proper command) - zerg managed to find working portal that led them straight to Shakuras. After that they established their bases with no problem. Arrived protoss from Aiur and Dark Templar wiped out those bases and Jim Raynor "THE MAN OF ACTION" and Fenix made sure that there will be no zerg reinforcements. And yet there were enough zerg to almost consume an entire planet.
And during campaign, zerg are either nonexistent, or they are literally everywhere.
Cerebrates still command their broods even without the Overmind and they were also trying to make a new Overmind by merging many cerebrates but that failed before reaching maturity since the United Earth Directorate drugged the immature Overmind and controlled it.
@@AlithAnar oh, i'm aware of cerebrates and their role in all of that. It's just the death of the Overmind is a MASSIVE blow to zerg command structure. In SC 1 death of Zasz (if i'm not mistakesn) by Zeratul's hadn was enough to put broods into a total chaos. And in before killing the overmind protoss managed to take out 2 cerebrates as well (or was it 3?). So yeah, zerg can't recover that quickly!
@@This_side_of_the_internet actually the cerebrates remain active, its just they don't have a will of their own so they may have just created several bases and mustered as many forces as they can to defend themselves.
What you say is true actually, that's the exact reason the Overmind got slain. When Zeratul sneak attacked the 2 cerebrates, the Overmind went to rest mode. And it caused the swarm to be in disarray allowing the protoss and Jim's buddies to have the chance to collide the gantritor to the Overmind
Goodness gracious that was a lot of mutalisks in that mission alone. i doubt i can even handle such number in starcraft 1 co-op campaign missons.
Muta-balls! Causing no end of hair-pulling anger from Starcraft players since 1998.
I knew I should have stayed in bed this morning...
The survivors on Aiur: going to chill
Also the executor of Aiur: 2:31
2:17 the probe
Sworm of mutas vs Fleet of Scouts.
christ, how much supply worth of scouts did you guys make???
there’s only one man arrogant enough to think he can get away with this…JAMES EUGINE RAYNOR. (yes that’s his full name look it up)
5:35 wasting powerful storm on drones? Where you study tactics, boy?
Only few missions and the best faction in the game appears xD
Amusing
