Artanis: Executor! Our weapons are having little effect on this cerebrate!
Zeratul: That'll never work, where'd you study tactics, boy?
fun fact the same person who voiced duke also voiced zeratul. oh and also voiced the overmind
Finally, it's time for the Zerg to complain about eating vegetables when the Protoss use their Lettuce Attack.
5:45 that's a lot of hydralisks
3:11 LETTUCE ATTACK
Jesus! Did Daggoth have the entire Swarm relocate to Shakuras?!
It didn't make sense how so many of them got through.
@@Vantud391 The Zerg don't need many to infest a new world. Even with a few drones they can build up massive hive clusters. Once they start hatching new broods they grow in size quickly.
I can't believe that the Protoss trusted Kerrigan, knowing the nature of the Zerg and the fact that she screwed them over back at Char
Because they were all simping for her
They fell for 'I was brainwashed by the Overmind and now I'm totally back to my normal Terran mind'.
Kerrigan had no valid reason to help the Protoss. What does she do? Tell them the location of Uraj and Khalis. What does she gain from this? Nothing but killing Aldaris.
@@razorback9999able She needs the Protoss to kill Daggoth's and renegade forces
Protoss didn't trust Kerrigan, they trusted Razagal,
Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate…
After exposition on the Psi Disruptor, and the parts and data needed to be able to wipe out the Protoss on Braxis, the Captain's Squadron (with a new assigned color), the UED Cronus Wing, and the old Confederate Elite Guard set up a base to deal with the nearby Templar Nexi around the Psi Disruptor.
After dealing with them, Duran shows up with an offer of truce and information, despite Duke and Stukov having little reason to trust him. Dugalle, who no one else knows had already been enthralled by Duran months ago, invites Duran for a chat.
"Artanis, you didn't bring Dark Templar to destroy the Cerebrates???"
"I forgor 💀"
Throwback to the Zeratul video where he also forgor
I think at this point Blizzard forgot the plot element about Cerebrates only being kept alive by the Overmind. The Overmind is dead on Aiur and the new one is too far away on Char, these Cerebrates should be able to be killed by any other weapons.
That´s a very good point
I think there's enough leeway here that it's not a plot-hole that the New Overmind's connection could reach the Cerebrates on Shakuras.
If anything, the real plot-hole is why they didn't just kill the New Overmind while they were on Char grabbing the Khalis crystal since they brought Dark Templar with them. That level only makes sense if the canon route is to just go for the Khalis.
@@retloclive9118 I've long since headcanon'd it as:
The Protoss know what happened the last time they killed the Overmind; all the Zerg went into a Berserk Fury Rampage. If that happens here, they may lose their chance to grab the Khalis at all. So they want to do enough damage to effectively give it a concussion, make stuff dormant, but not enough damage that the Overmind loses control completely and everything goes nuts.
@@Blazieth You make a good point. In addition, it would also send the Zerg currently on Shakuras in a frenzy and they may attack the main citadels. In that regard it would be preferable for the swarms to be controlled for the time being.
They couldn’t kill the Overmind then because they didn’t have the Gantrithor with them.
Funny how mystic and mysterious the Protoss were back then. In SC2, the duality of light and dark is completely gone; there is a clear shift from religion to technology as time goes on.
"Uraj and Khalis" okay, but what about the Argus Stone?
I can hardly believe this! as if forgetting the milk at the grocery store were not enough? executor are you certain of this?
Kerrigan: Let me in! Let me in!
Raszagal: Password accepted.
Clearly, Artanis failed us.
3:44 hold on, disruption web can also stop melee units? not just ranged units and towers?
Yeah I believe any ground unit or structure under the web cannot attack
The only thing it doesn’t stop is spells. Web is extremely powerful for what it does, and makes up for the fact that the corsair is pathetic against mutas that know how to split.
Artanis: Wait how can we stop the Cerebrates? Oh wait, Dark Templars.
Omg, you guys just did a genocide of 200 hydralisk, they just kept coming!
I swear I only saw like 6 hatcheries at the most too. Are they using operation cwal or something?
And I enjoyed every second of it!
Probably there are more hatcheries in the left corner of the map.
I blame matriarchy for everything that happened on Shakuras
Praetor Skippy is forgetful.
I dont know guys... Something feels weird with the Matriarch
Man, I wish I could participate in this adventure
wait whats wit the prison cell? is that a hybrid?
where
@@EvansdiAl left of the map where you see yellow dot
Magnificent, isn't it?
It doesn't do anything though. I think it's randomly put there.
@@ExecutorNral or maybe it contains a secret stash of solarite
Still not sure if the Stasis Cell/Prison is some sort of reference or just an editor oopsie that didn't get cleaned up
No Dark Templars? [insert megamind meme here]
EXECUTOR; WHY ARE YOU STREAMING TOP SECRET PROTOSS BATTLE PLANS TO THE APES KNOWN AS TERRANS?
no canon wall built at start to defend ur base? whered you study tactics boy?
Is artanis playable in StarCraft 1?
if you want to get technical...
well yes. In mission 5, if I remember right, there is Artanis as heroic scout.
Yes. Artanis is a heroic Scout. Like shelter9244 said though, you only get him for a couple missions.
You are also Artanis for the entirety of vanilla SC1, though you were only known as the Executor back then.
