There are many different ways of doing this this works good inna pond but for creek I use size 4 hook with a feeder rig and corn or hair rig or boilie sometimes bread takes along time to get bites but chumming is always the way to go amazing tutorial for pond carping
Absolutely no reason to fish them. No meat, mostly bones. Usually damage the fish's mouth beyond repair. I get that it is fun to do once in your life, but you should stop now. Foul hooking them is illegal in most states too. They keep the ponds cleaner.
They actually have plenty of meat. I eat them. They are bony so they can be quite annoying to eat but taste fine. Nothing spectacular but not bad. But at the end of the day if you want something that’ll fight and isn’t a sports fish PLUS tastes good just fish for catfish

Planning on fishing for carp this weekend I was thinking a treble hook with corn on the bottom would that be good?
Wouldn’t recommend, carp have very delicate lips and it’s better to use single hooks for carp
