    When I lived in S. Florida , the office I worked at had a deep drainage pond right in front. A rep came in and brought as bagels for breakfast. We had a few left over so I tossed them in the pond. Until then I only saw a couple small bass and brim. There were 3 bagels floating on top when I see a little break on top of water and that entire bagel disappeared in one gulp. I knew what it had to be. Next day I brought my rod and reel and when we got off I tossed it in with raw biscuit dough and a float. Less than a minute later bam.....That sucker was about 3 ft ...maybe 40 lbs. ..Turns out the pond was loaded.

    Nice tips my friend. I don't normally target carp, but I landed my biggest one this year by accident. That fight is incredible. Always enjoy your videos.

      I don’t normally but when the water is 96 degrees here during the summer sometimes the bass fishing gets a little rough lol.

    Awesome tutorial, thanks for the info! I've never really targeted carp, but they seem pretty easy and fun to catch based on what you said. One question... You mentioned at the start that you used Google Maps and knew which ponds had grass carp. Was that cause you could see something indicating they were there, or could you actually see the fish?

    • @GeorgiaBassmaster
      @GeorgiaBassmaster  4 роки тому +6

      The only indicator is lakes around here in my area grass automatically grows in every lake and if the lake I find on google maps isn’t covered with grass in the images it’s usually a good sign there are grass carp there maintaining the grass levels.

      I’m a pretty decent carp fisherman, look up how to make hair rigs, pick yourself up a baiting needle on Amazon with some bait stops, and depending on your spot use about 1-2 ounces of lead above a swivel. Corn is an amazing bait

    I’ve been getting trolled by these carp. They’re conspiring against me. When they aren’t missing my hook they’re sending channel catfish out to trick me into thinking I got a carp. I might just jump in and wrestle one.

    Do carp hit more on bobber set ups than sinkers?

    • @GeorgiaBassmaster
      @GeorgiaBassmaster  9 місяців тому +2

      I use sinkers only on the river and usually a bobber or no weight in a pond.
