Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 004C Race Car in action at Monza Circuit!

- Last week in Monza I recorded the brand new Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus weapon for the 2020 Nürburgring 24 hours and the VLN/NLS series, where it will be raced in the SPX-class but in the future it will receive the GT3-class homologation (No, this is not the Le Mans Hypercar-class car which is called 007 and it's yet to be completed). I saw this car doing the first shakedown on track last February, before the Italian lockdown, and this was the second proper test the car did after a 30 hours endurance session at Aragon months ago.
As for the SGC 003C, the new 004C is developed in partnership with Podium Advanced Technologies. It is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 developed by Autotecnica Motori from a GM LT4 pushrod engine.
Watch it being driven fast on the Italian track!

Cameron is the last name of his wife. So he named the team after his name and his wifes name.
Really looking forward to seeing it racing.

beautiful material.... The first project of Glickenhaus was cool - the guys have already gained experience and I am excited to see how the new vehicle will be evaluated, but also what Glickenhaus has planned in the near future :D

The front lights remind be a bit of the 599 for some reason, but either way, it's a beautiful car
I thought it sounded like a GM V-8 and then I read e description and I was surprised that I recognized that engine sound. I’m usually not good at blind guessing engine sounds. LOL

I love the sound of this engine, too many cars in the GT3 class are not vocal enough! Add to that the car is stunningly beautiful, can't wait to see it racing in the FIA WEC and IMSA if they allow it
First new car has a second higher end car coming out on September to race in the hypercar series. This car in road legal form 3 seater central driving position

I was wearing headphones waiting for the pit limiter to turn off to hear what this good old pushrod V8 sounds like. Damn! That’s way louder and more visceral than I expected. That’s a proper race car sound.

This car is the embodiment of racing spirit itself. I admire Glickenhaus for that. Had I had the money this is way more in the heart than what the current big names have to offer. But then, 1:10 that cluster alone costs 10k haha -back to the ground now-

This is my kind of observation: How do the front lights get power re-connected? The whole front end comes off and I didn't spot any means for making electrical contact.
Quick disconnect plug. Entire front end can be changed in 17 seconds.

Looks like a classic GT1 Car, either like Porsche GT1, Mercedes Benz CLK GTR, or even Maserati MC12.
At first glance i thought this might be some sort of GT4 racer (also because of the name SCG 004C, i know it's just the successor of the 003C). It looks much less racey than the 003C, being much narrower and having smoother bodywork plus a narrower rear wing. Is that due to the remaining homologation, or is the concept of the 004 even lesser drag compared to the 003? (cant wait for Döttinger Höhe top speeds in that case). Hope they will be doing well. Always one of the top fan favourites and a maverick between all the OEM racers.
Edit: Just looked it up: The 003C was introduced in 2015. Actually felt like yesterday, crazy that it's been 5 years already.
I noticed the narrow rear wing also, while I don't know for sure, my guess would be that this car has a lot better under floor and over body downforce than say an M6 GT3 or similar and as such can only run a smaller wing. Look at a 911 GT3 for example it has a tiny diffuser yet the biggest and highest wing possible.

Well they also said they wouldn't start at "ghost races". No idea which of the 2 is the reason they didn't start.
They will start at the 6 Hour VLN Race because they have to. Otherwise they are not allowed to go race in the 24h Race. James Glickenhaus confirmed via Twitter they will race VLN 6!
@@tommesob5099 Well every car is allowed to race at the 24h race, in the last few years you could earn spots for the Top 30 Qualifying by driving in VLN or the qualifyication race though. I guess they would have to do a run before the race though so the organizers can BoP the car properly.

FYI: Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus wins the 2020 Class 2 Baja 1000 division beating the Ford factory backed Performance R Bronco...the Scuderia name...Boot, as in the Boot...they beat big boy Ford money, engineering and all the hoopla surrounding the Bronco 'toughness'...'cough' they gave it the boot...haha

it'll have only 1 race (the NLS 6hour race, where 2.500 spectators will be allowed), before the Nür'24. Normally you have to compete in 3 races, in order to get a competitive BoP. so, essentially they have a chance to dominate the big race. on the other hand it could go as well in the other direction, and endurance of the car is not tested as it would have been if 2020 wasn't so f'd up

the SCG004 is the SCG_003 but 100 times better
the 003 looked more LMP inspired, I liked it.
The 003 looked more aggressive and more technical and artificial, the 004 looks more beautiful with more emotion.
