When I first started playing this song, had the same problem. I was just bending the G string, not doing a B and G string unison bend. Not sure if this helps, but that helped me when I figured it oht
Just crank your mids all the way up, tone down the treble, get a fuzz pedal and set the distortion to the lowest you can while increasing your amp's gain until it sounds right without clipping. The brand of your amp also does matter. To get close to Homme's tone, you shouldn't use a tube amp.
probably the most accurate cover besides the guy with the actual ovation which is saying something
Agreed, this is probably qotsa 1# album best track
with You Can't Quit Me Baby
Regular John
Walking On the Sidewalks is another hard hitter for me. Love the last two minutes despite there being little variation
The bronze is my fAv
nice. been watching a few of your vids fascinated by your accuracy.
I love covers like this that clearly show you the way so that you don't have to sit through a tedious tutorial. You're the man bro 👌
Not huge fan of the band but still like them. Saying that, you nailed it dude, lots of parts in there.
Ah this sounds amazing! Great playing
Man, that was awesome. I don't say this often, just awesome, as it should be. Subscribed.
This is remarkably spot on. Mistakes, slips and all.
My favorite too. You have great taste.
Gotta be the greatest feeling to play that. You killed it
Ya, I’m speechless. Nice shirt, and wallpaper too, dude.
Absolutely spot on 10/10

Awesome job! Kickass song!
THANK YOU!!!
really nice thank you
Man how do you get your tone??
probably with a Catalinbread SFT, if analogic, or he has dialed up his recording software to sound just like them
@@CiceroMonteiro I have the sft and the pdf. It's a lot of money, but that combination satisfies 98% of the desired tone
I can get a tone close to Josh's with just a pair of humbuckers (I'm using the ones that came with my SG) and a Vox Tonelab ST.

You should find a bassist and vocalist and mix your play along with that of Colm Dowling.
Dude Colm has the best sounding snare ever
Nice playing. I'm more into the shirt right now though :D
Awesome men! Que bacan!!! 😀👍👍👍
Awesome

Bang on

0:20
0:55
there is a slight delay. slight. but it's there.
I have different fingerings for it but sounds the same. 👍
What scale length is your guitar?
24.75
would 11-54 be an ok gauge to go for?
thespecialist429 I'm using Dunlop Heavy Core 11-50, so 11-54 is ok.
Floppy or playable?
thespecialist429 depends on how well you play :)
Is the track a remastered version? Sure sounds like it
Found multitrack on the Internet.
What tuning is this
When you do that bending part you just let it ring out, you don't strum it twice. It makes that effect on it's own.
which mics and software did you use for this video ?
+harperlewis no mics. wavelab.
whats wavelab ?
+harperlewis you asked about recording software, i'm using steinberg wavelab.
what fuzz was used on this?
Like
Dude where is "go with the flow?"
great cover, sweet shirt, pretty sad there was no 'shit' and gasoline, still well very done
You need to slide after bending :)
