I absolutely agree. Life is too short, and we can't go back and do things differently, so it's important to have fewer regrets as we move through life.
I've had deer, Buffalo, Newfoundland Caribou, and Labrador Caribou, which is the largest Caribou heard in the world. The Labrador Caribou is a lot better tasting animal, less gamey.
You people are my most favorite watch on utube.... I can relate to so much.... hospitality and humility.... I am from northern Ontario.... beautiful background music, video editing is first rate and the sharing of your life... thank you so much
That's actually something we will be doing in the future. It is a traditional Newfoundland cookbook with all moms recipes. Most cookbooks today are just downloadable but I'm old school and I want an actual book haha
We visited Newfoundland a few years ago. What a beautiful place! Wish I had tried moose burger. We drove all the way from Maryland to Nova Scotia and all over Newfoundland and didn't even see a single moose! Great channel, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much. Mom and dad lived in Maryland for 28 months back in the early 2000's when dad was helping build a large cement plant. They loved the state of Maryland.
@@NewfieLifestyle That’s interesting! I’m glad they loved it here. I was born and raised here, it’s a beautiful state but I’ve seen a lot of changes just like every other place I guess. My area is growing too fast, more people than we can handle so up goes the high density housing.
Moose meat is the premium of Canadian wild game ! Easy recipe to follow and enjoy making ourselves ! Very enjoyable watching your Channel and what you bring about your recipes and Eastern Culture! Great job and keep the videos coming !
Man another great recipe my buddy , I've made a few over the years , I add pork loin to mine as well , now going to add cheese 🧀 lol. Always great to see how people do things a different way. Think I told you I subscribed my parents to your channel today , they won't like and comment as they aren't tech savvy but I assure you they will be watching lol. Have a great week my friend
Thanks! When we butchers our moose and make our patties, we add pork loin too and no crumbs. The pork loin helps keep the patties together. When we're just making enough for a meal, then we use crumbs. I hope your parents really enjoy the channel. I'm sending you a gift in the next week or so, just waiting for the second part of the gift to arrive.
@@NewfieLifestyle Thanks my buddy , yes we usually get a pork roast and grind to add to our moose ground as well , you have me curious I'm anxiously awaiting now lol. Have an awesome week
I've never had moose. In Colorado had friends who hunted but never got one. That state has an odd hunting system with lotteries on areas and type of game. I've enjoyed venison and other game. Like the addition of grated cheese. Hi from Oregon US.
In Newfoundland the moose is essentially an invasive species. They are not indigenous to the rock and don't have much in the way of predators. Which means there's a good hunting season.
@@NeilABliss According to law you still need to be picked from a lottery system, there is 9 tiers, you can look into the details yourself, if you are granted a license it is $25, you get a designated area to hunt , you also will receive 4 leg tags in the mail, must still be hunted in the right time of the year.. It is not a free for all hunt. Also the gender of the animal matters...
We have a Poole type system. If we get our license this for this fall, we drop to the back of the line for next season. Usually, every second year, we get a license, and sometimes, we will fall to the third year before getting another license. It works out good here in Newfoundland
Now I'm starving again. Thanks LOL! I've never used onion soup mix in that way but will definitely be giving that a try. I typically shake in some Montreal steak spice just for the simplicity.
Wish I could. My parents lived in Maryland for 28 months while dad was working there in the early 2000's. They were building a large cement plant. They loved their time there.
The charm of interacting with your folks is half the attraction of the channel. You will be glad you have this footage.

Like number 185. Looks fantastic. I've had deer , elk and American buffalo, but never moose.

Lucky guy👍🏻👍🏻🤣

We usually keep it basic with garlic powder and onion powder.
Oh yeah, a spoon full or two of onion soup mix.

Simple is usually the best way to go. Some people over does it, and you love a lot of taste from the meat.
Could you ship me some to Baltimore Maryland please?
