A piece of advice on adjustable iron dumbbells (6:50), roll a layer of rubber electrical tape over the screws and you'll make them a lot tighter and add more friction so they don't become undone but while still being adjustable. You can also take advantage of their cheapness since rather than buying a pair of premium adjustable dumbbells for like 300-500 dollars, most of which only goes up to 50 pounds, you can buy multiple pairs of iron dumbbells and create pre-adjusted pairs that compliment your entire workout routine so you don't have to constantly adjust them.
I want to say the first case of dumbells that were bought are for physical therapy patients (PT) patients or occupational therapy (OT) to teach people how to lift after a surgery or accident or trying to establish some motorskills with the patient

Jesus Christ is the only way to be fulfilled. I'm writing this as I just had an encounter with Jesus the Almighty God. I was being tempted by demonic forces. I fell into temptation, and I ran away from the Lord. This hasn't been the first time. I have been on a on and off cycle which seemed to be an endless. But today, I feel called to share this testimony. I watched a video which really opened my eyes while I was still "hiding" from God. It touched my soul to the point that I fell on my knees right away, and begged for forgiveness and guidance. This was beyond anyother feeling I've felt while repenting. This one felt true. I had been like mad at God for being dumped by my this girl I was talking to. So this was a way to be tempted by evil demonic forces. I would get intrusive thoughts, and I kept trying to solve this feeling of being dumped on worldly things. And let me tell you, it only makes it worse. If you're someone who is not sure if you're saved, or if you are saved, but have been going through these on and off cycles such as porn, or secular music(which are other cycles I've been having a difficult time with) I want you to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life. If you don't know what to do, I want you to get on your knees, and pray this prayer with your heart: Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for my sins, and was ressurected on the third day. I believe you came to the Earth, to pay for our sins. Thank you for dieing on the cross for my sins, in Your Name, I pray, amen. I don't know who is reading this, but if you ever fill an empty whole, which cannot be fulfilled, the only way to fulfill is by Jesus. When you turn your back on Jesus, you seek everything other then him. All worldly things, will never fill that hole. God Bless Yall!

I literally bought a set of adjustable dumbbells the other day, and so far, i love them. Years ago, i used to use steel plate ones, and all the issues you mentioned, plus the effort in changing playes between workouts, was part of the reason i stopped working out fir a long time.
I really appreciate all your content Stan. I struggle with depression and anxiety and your videos always make me laugh and smile. Keep up the great work buddy.
If you ask me: power block dumbbells are totally worth it. The changing mechanism works pretty good and fast. It is super compact. The did have a Star Trek episode featuring these things. And - at least when I bought them - it has been the adjustable dumbbell with the highest possible weight. I only got up to around 40 kg each (41kg is what it says), but I think there is even one more stage I could have bought. Also I can add a (rather short) barbell to the mix. With the right setup I could do squats. I've already done snatches and powercleans etc. with it. It holds. And yeah, getting up to about 90kg (with the barbell attachment) it is a decent weight even for deadlift. I know there are guys that do bench with more than 40kg dumbbells... but for me there is still some room for improvement and I haven't reached the maximum weight of these yet (other than for deadlifting... I don't have the right setup for backsquating here so... otherwise this would be nice as well). If you do not have a garage or a room dedicated for your equipment, just your living room, then a pair of adjustable dumbbells (don't need to be powerblocks of course) is pretty nice. Especially if you have a foldable bench and an pullup and dip bar (having the same one you guys seem to have in the video ;-) which is pretty nice!).

7:40.I've got some adjustable dumbbells similar to this(bough from decathlon) and they are great. They are not noisy when working out and pretty solid. The feeling of swapping plates manually is so cool.
My approach is to do adjustable iron dumbbells for most things. I've got a pair of longer ones for heavier stuff (rows, at the moment), and when that is maxed out, I will buy a single heavy pair of fixed dumbbells.
1:40 I boxed as a child and even when I was just 8 years old, I used 1 kg for shadow boxing, later, when I was around 10-12 2 kg and the adults used 5kg. Maybe a 4-year-old would use the 0.5kg ones? xD Weights this light are usually used for rehabilitation, stabilization and stuff like that, not for classic workouts.
When I started out I got my iron dumbbells at a thrift store for €14, with i thiiink 10kg on em. One of the best purchases I've ever made I later on bought a used barbell online that came with like 40kg for €70, and since they're the same width I just upgraded the dumbbells with em! Honestly if you're gonna buy weights, check online, people sell them all the time after realising they're not gonna use them lmao
I still have my iron weights dumbbells (with plenty of weights) and barbell I bought like 20 years ago and I still use them today. You don't need the fanciest equipment when you wanna do stuff, you just need what works and lasts.
You can also use the kettle bell holders at 10:40 for pushups and handstands too! Great video btw love you content and have been watching for over 3 years now
I turned 13 three weeks ago and have watched your videos for about 1 and a half years and started my journey to build more muscle and my bench is 120LBS, squat 120IBS, curl 55LBS but best of all 275 on dead lift. I love your videos keep up the good work.
Yay!!! My Dumbbells won! One thing about these adjustable dumbbells - you definitely shouldn't drop them)) And mine have the protection mechanism, you can change the weight only after you put them back on the tray, or whatever you call it)) But all-in-all, I've been using them for almost 4 years now - I can safely say, one of the best investments sportwise, 100% better than my GYM Membership card🙈😄
Hey appreciate the Video. I have the iron adjustable dumbells and from my experience they are great for beginners , but I agree too that they are a bit loud and could loosen up.
I bought 2 single-handed dumbbells, 2X15 kilos (can be extended), 1 year ago for 44 euros. Sand and cement with a plastic layer. I've been training with it at home ever since. I think it might be of medium quality. You can currently buy it for 37 euros (in Hungary). It's a shame that it wasn't that much 1 year ago, but that's what it is. Anyway, I'm satisfied with it. I don't throw it, because it can also break/damage relatively easily. But if you want to save, it's worth looking around. I'm just looking at it now, it's almost the same as the one you bought for 50 euros, just a little different.
A huge benefit of the adjustable metal dumbbells is progression. You can get ones with either a small or standard collar size and later on buy more plates separately in order to progress in weight. Eventually the dumbbell will get pretty big and unwieldy but that's kinda inevitable for very heavy dumbbells. If you get the screw on collar one, put some tape over the threads to prevent it from coming loose.
I have adjustable dumbbells from Core Home Fitness. They cost about $350 and you twist the handle in the cradle to adjust them, just like the super expensive ones on the list you have. Unlike the expensive weights, though, it's not digital. And unlike the cheaper metal plate weights, mine actually have a comfortable ergonomic rubber grip, the plates don't rattle and move much, and you can very easily adjust weights anytime you want without the hassle of having to remove them or put them on one by one. Each dumbbell goes from 5-50 lb (adjustable for every 5 lb) which is more than enough for most people. There's no fear of the weights coming loose as I believe you can only twist when the dumbbells are in the cradle. The only negative is that it takes time for the weights to come apart easily, so when you first get them, it might not be easy to adjust. It'll get better after some uses. Another thing that if you don't purchase the weighted base, the lightweight plastic cradles tend to get picked up alongside the dumbbells if you ever use the full weight of the dumbbells, so you have to put a foot down on them. I guess I also have concerns that the higher tech the adjusting mechanisms are, the harder it will be to fix or replace if anything goes wrong.
Bro,by the time i was writing this reply, you have got 55 which means if you multiply is going to be 550 minutes, in turn equals to 9 hours. So Get Back To work!
With the weights that loosen up so fast, you can get 1” collars that will fit over the bar. I have cheap adjustable dumbbells like that, and with the collars they work perfectly
Awesome video! I would have loved to see you try the Nüobell Adjustable Dumbbells. They are from Sweden and these are my favourites in terms of size and handling!
To rehab my torn labrum, I literally had to start with 1 lb dumbbells… it was all the weight I could do at the time. At first I started with a water bottle but then actually ordered them. Took me 8 months of work to finally be back in the gym…. Great video and I agree the adjustable for a home gym are worth the investment.
For me the mobility after 6 weeks after the surgery was a problem. Back to 90% but never back to 100%. When I hear or feel strains noises from my shoulder I know should not do that exercise.
@@jblizzard962 I’m trying to avoid the surgery. Did you have yours pinned? I was able to work through torn meniscus in both knees and have better knees today than at anytime in the last 30 years so I felt I could rehab without shoulder surgery.
Nuobells (best adjustable with 5lb increments but fragile & tend to break), Snodes (99% metal. Most durable adjustable with an metal cradle but onlyy 10 lb increments) & Trulaps (Most increment changes between 1.5kg with the handle twist system and also mostly metal) are the best dumbbells for different reasons. The Rep x Pepins just came out for $1400 a set!
I got ones like the not changeable ones at a regular store for 20 dollars… and they are actually good sized, and have a good amount of weight, and have the hexagon shape

Awesome video! I would have loved to see you try the Nüobell Adjustable Dumbbells. They are from Sweden and these are my favourites in terms of size and handling!
Fun fact: if you double click this comment it will like it

7:35 idk i personally love the noise, every time i hear it i feel more of the rep, more of the excersize, more gains.
9:20 you gotta feel this bro 💀

Man this video was so fun to watch:D
Also the work put in these videos is tremendous and the charisma you two have is perfection👌🏻👌🏿
I tried to make my own dumbbells using sand and a stick, but it just ended up looking like a sandcastle for ants. 🐜💪
Lol
Nuobells (best adjustable with 5lb increments but fragile & tend to break), Snodes (99% metal. Most durable adjustable with an metal cradle but onlyy 10 lb increments) & Trulaps (Most increment changes between 1.5kg with the handle twist system and also mostly metal) are the best dumbbells for different reasons. The Rep x Pepins just came out for $1400 a set!
24:38 i would get it since i don’t count right
Dude your videos are soo nice, lots of love, keep going strong. 4M subs soon 💪💪
9:20 Zesty ahh scene

I got ones like the not changeable ones at a regular store for 20 dollars… and they are actually good sized, and have a good amount of weight, and have the hexagon shape
