In a blind tasting with some of the leading French wine aficionados of the day, Californian wines were chosen over France's very best. Big names were knocked right out of the park in a comprehensive whooping.

Bottleshock with Bill Pullman, Chris Pine, and others sent me here to find out what really went on.
Fun movie, but also disappointing. Seemed like a huge missed opportunity to document a fascinating and highly consequential event. So much more could have been said about the reactions, both the immediate opinions and, if only as suggestion, how the event was to affect the wine industry.

What a joke putting Peter Michael in the painting. He was not there and had nothing to do with it. It totally spoils a great piece of artwork.
I suppose that's historically true, but Sir Michael commissioned the painting & it is on display at his vineyard. I believe Sir Michael played a hand in organizing the 2006 rematch with Spurrier.
