- Reddit has long been a controversial place on the internet. For many years it stood as a location in which censorship was minimal. Over the past few years though, more and more communities have found themselves on the recieving ends of bannings for various reasons. In this follow up to my original video 'Reddit's DISTRESSING Banned Communities', I'm going over 6 more communities, groups and induviduals who've receieved bans from the platform.

Small rule of political reddit : the most popular sub relating to something (countries or regions, or news typically) is very woke. As a result an opposing sub will be created with a close name (europe -> european, balkan -> 2balkan4u, worldnews -> theworldnews). And that sub will be infested with anything from religious bigots to nazis, then banned.

Theres some fun and dope shitposting subs. The “cringe” themed ones too are usually pretty funny til they inevitably get banned for “cyberbullying.” R/tiktokcringe is poppin’ right now since Tik Tok is so popular and there always gonna be cringe content to laugh at from TT.

I deleted my reddit account for my mental well being. Even my local community was a shitshow.

Reddit is absolutely pathetic. A self-feeding echo chamber and nobody on there _truly_ represents the real life demographic they hail from.
For example, they cannot ever fathom why so many "idiots" would vote for a given political party. That's because said party is popular amongst _normal_ people out in the real world, who aren't of the same bitter opinions as the online mouth-breathers. Reddit would have you believe that the whole world is full of liberals under the age of 30 who don't have a penny to their name, everyone is poor and is being destroyed by the cost of living crisis. Absolutely not true at all.
I never had a reddit account, but sometimes i do browse the local subreddits of my country, because they are silly entertaining, especially when it comes to politics. They have formed their own wild and crazy ideology, like some sort of cult and the mods ban and censor everyone who doesn't agree to their extemist views.

Body shaming reddits are weird to me because the reddit crowd isn’t usually the crowd winning pageants. Like, we aren’t there with modeling and selfie accounts.
I assume that many ugly people make themselves feel better by making fun of even uglier people. As long as they can call themselves prettier than someone else, that's all they care about, even if they are still near the bottom.

My theory on the Adult Redditors getting banned is mainly the bad reputation pornbots got in the past that everyone mistakes them for one nowadays even when they aren't
This also may have been a contributing factor to the adult content ban on tumblr, but as far as I can tell, the pornbots are still fucking there (pun intended), so your guess is as good as mine if it actually was

For that last one, I'm trans. And if ur polite about it, I don't find that preference transphobic. There's a couple different reasons but also because t4t, trans for trans, is also a thing. Some trans people only date other trans people for safety and comfort reasons.

In my opinion it's about the reasoning. If your reasoning is "I don't like penis and therefore don't want to date someone with a penis" that's fine and not transphobic to me. If your reasoning is "I want to have biological kids one day and with a trans person that's not possible" that's fine. But a lot of the time these aren't the main reasons for not wanting to date a trans person, the main reason is often that the person who doesn't want to date a trans person doesn't want to date them because they're actively transphobic. It's not like trans people are just going out and being like "Ah man transphobic people are so hot I'm going to socially pressure them into dating me" like ? Lol

As someone who follows some nsfw users on reddit, I can kind of take a guess as to what might be happening: some of these girls advertise on reddit by posting the exact same pic with the exact same subtitle on multiple different subreddits, it also kind of common for them to do the exact same post on the same subreddit multiple times, so that might be the reason for which they get banned. Besides that, nsfw reddits have different rules on content selling policy, with some allowing, some disallowing and some restricting. Maybe it's a matter of them being flagged by violations on multiple subreddits and being banned because of it. It's only speculation tho. Btw, if you're a TS lover, I recommend Vaniall

In regards to the sex worker moderation stuff, I was there for that. here is the much-needed context: many of the communities that the sex workers would post to were NSFW focused, but a lot were also focused on building real connections and long-distance relationships. Even in the NSFW subreddits, most people were simply looking for someone to talk to and connect with, either over a fetish or just having someone to talk to. As a rule, most of these communities had a policy that anyone advertising sex work would get flagged. There would be a single warning, and any further offenses would get you marked for spam. As a former moderator, one of the largest complaints I would get is that female interaction had changed, and women were no longer looking for amateur connections. Everyone was either just selling something, or advertising sex work. It made connecting with real people very confusing since the sellers would advertise as looking for something genuine, but not state that they are selling. This also created problems for the female members, since they felt there was no point in competing with professionals, and didn't want to compete with women who sold pics for cheap.
The number of complaints I would was in the thousands per week. These were big subreddits with lots of active daily members, and I was not the only moderator at the time dealing with these very specific complaints. It was enough to make me investigate, and upon speaking with other moderators with other extremely large subreddits, we found that many accounts would buy content from the original seller, and then resell the images as a scammer, all while pretending to be the actual seller.
Most of us, while borderline mildly sympathetic to these sellers, strongly felt that altogether any users, male or female, taking advantage of the lonelyhearted and solitary for profit, was not something we supported. We felt that it would corrupt the nature of our subreddits, which were meant for honest interactions, regardless of how sex-focused the subreddit was. So we would filter all sellers, scam or otherwise, into spam.
Any accounts that were by Reddit altogether could only be done so BY Reddit admins, not moderators, so anyone who was banned was found to either be scamming, catfishing, or blackmailing since those are the lowest level offenses someone could take to get banned by Reddit altogether. I've since quit moderating, and I stick to lurking and maybe posting a comment now and then. while I do not feel that banning any of the actual genuine seller accounts was justified, I do stand by my original decision.
When the phrase “super straight” started catching on, I thought it was a joke just from the name alone. But then there were people who took it way too seriously. But isn’t that always the thing? Nothing can exist without SOMEONE taking it way too seriously.
I think this happens a lot with a lot of minority groups. It starts as jokes, but it turns into something way more serious as it becomes more normal.

For the last one, not all trans people (myself included) hate on others for not wanting to date trans people. Ofc there will be a few people who disagree, but just because we have bad apples in the trans community, it doesn't mean everyone in the community are all bad people.
For me especially, I just don't want people to be transphobic while sharing their preference in dating a trans person or not. Like if you're respectful while saying you don't want to date trans people or aren't attracted to us, that's fine, but saying something like "I'm a straight man but I don't want to date a trans woman because they're a man" is transphobic.
The whole super straight movement is clearly transphobic and the guy who coined the term was thankfully respectful from what I saw. It's just unfortunate that there are people who will take a joke and be serious about it while actively harming others.
While I can get that you gotta realize the need for policing your own group. Or at the very least share thar understanding with other groups. I'm tired of being treated like the bad guy just because I'm not Trans or gay.

Saying a transwoman is a man isn't transphobic. To be truly transphobic, you have to say that a trans person is evil or bad in some way. Just because someone identifies as a gender doesn't automatically make them that gender. It's the same as if a white person said they identified as black.

The issue with super straight is that it was a mockery. I personally if it was normal would fall under a “super__” as I prefer cis genders. Issue is? They weren’t just that, they weren’t a preference they were a hidden name for hate. Similar to other communities hidden by names like maps who hide their disgusting deeds under a basic name.
Personally i wouldn’t care much about super straight if all it was, was that a preference. A simple preference that many do have, but it’s not just that.

Theres nothing to identify with because they are literally no other requirements aside from ones biological sex. Gender roles, however are cultural and those can and do vary depending on where you are. Gender ideology is based on nothing. There is no trans, no cis. Only the confused.

Well thats not true at all, 4chan doesn't have boards that are inherently objectionable, the boards have broad themes/titles and threads on there get auto deleted in an hour on average, so there is no persisting or archived content, and all the users are anonymous so theres no hierarchy or prevailing users or content that sticks around to define the boards.
Its just a free for all, for all.
If you go on /b/ you can see a racist thread (which like everything else on there doesnt get taken seriously due to the satirical culture of 4chab) and then you can see a "worship black cock/blacks are superior" thread next when you scroll down.
The beauty of this is that essentially things like racial slurs and other stuff lose their power on 4chan, because its anonympus and temporary, you cant personally attack people unless they make the unwise decision to reveal personal details/photos, and even ig you try, the thread wont exist the next day.

I remembered one subreddit called Crazy Reality. Discovered it through a cross post from the Twilight Zone sub of the 1982 filming accident. But it was taken down shortly after I discovered it.
for the super straight one i dont think trans people think people are transphobic for having a prefrence, im a gay man and interact in the lgbtq a lot and majority of trans people dont have that opinion, most think as long as they arent being respectful about their transness when they are rejected they arent transphobic. i feel bad that a lot of trans people were bashed for things that the large majority dont agree with that (which i see happen to them a lot)

It turns out she was having an affair with the neighbour.
Eventually he asked her for a divorce, and to avoid Jason having custody of their two kids, the wife killed their children and stabbed herself.
She was sentenced and is serving 120 years in jail.

I think the banning of accounts posting nsfw content has to do with many of them being bot accounts or regular accounts spamming their pics on a bunch of subreddits, few months ago quite a few random subreddits were getting random nsfw promotions posts being plastered on ther pages and a surge in nsfw accounts randomly friending and requesting "follow me and I'll follow back" things

I can see why Reddit would ban the accounts using the platform as free advertising for their work. You can't expect to use a free to use platform to make money outside of that platform, either pay to advertise or don't advertise. Completely understandable and well within reason to be banned for spam.
That's really far from the truth though. Any business basically doesn't exists if it's not on instagram, it's one of the best platforms to promote anything.

No, self-advertising is 100% ok on reddit as a whole. It only depends on individual subreddit rules whether they allow advertising or not.
What I think is that they're getting banned cuz they're being falsely reported as being spambots. And in some cases, they DO actually spam the exact same post across multiple 18+ subs just to get their name out there, which is, sadly for them, spam behavior.

tbh there's no need to create a 'Super Straight' identity. You can't expect to say "I won't date a trans person ever" and not attract transphobes. Like, dude... no one is asking you to date a trans person, but you have to accept that trans people are people and deserving of respect, and not making it so easy to generate a space of hostility for them.
The most vocal people on trans issues either seem to be A) the people who say they are grooming children or B) the people who say that you have to believe that a trans person is the gender they claim they are or you are a bigot. Which is ironic because I think the majority of people believe that trans people aren't the gender they say they are, but at the same time there is no need to consider them a threat. At the end of the day, there are a lot more important issues that we should be focusing on.

I take great issue with the people saying it's transphobic to refuse to date trans people. You're basically trying to use your gender identity to bypass rules of consent at that point. Same goes for overweight people who call someone "fatphobic" for not wanting to date them. Same level of entitlement as you see in stereotypical Nice Guys.

Saying that you only date cis women isn't the same thing as "disliking minorities". It's a sexual preference that most men have.

Even if it does motivate people to do better, they then have that shame to bear that will last for an extended period of time. It's a very bad motivator and like they say: a broken clock is right twice a day. Just because bullying can have some positive side effects, that does not at all justify it
