Watching the evolution of the Bret Hart “shut up” sketch, is like watching a wrestler that is a master at his craft, make subtle tweaks to his character.
Goldberg has two weaknesses: Chris Jericho and Bagels with Lox & Cream Cheese. Thanks once again for all the work put into this series. I enjoy this every week (just a bit later this week)
I was there live in Las Vegas, had the ol’ red black face paint on !! I will never forget this event as it largely shaped my life. Thank you so much for covering the Monday night Wars, I like many appreciate you greatly!
I'm so glad I lived through the war. And I'm very thankful this channel exists so future generations will never forget the greatest period in professional wrestling of all time!
The Wolfpack was the last thing that was truly over in the mainstream with WCW. I remember seeing more of their shirts than I had regular NWO shirts in the years before.
I've been waiting watching your show since the beginning for this particular episode. This was the only live wrestling show I ever got to go to when I was a kid my sister and brother-in-law lived in Vegas and they took me for my birthday. My birthday is July 29th. The three way Raven match even won my brother over. He disliked wrestling, but he jumped out of his seat when Saturn came off the top through the table!!!! I swear I'm almost crying thinking about it. I've waited so long to see this episode! Thank you!!!!!
The fact that WCW blew it with having Hall not join the Wolfpack, and had this opportunity to fix that and get the crowd super happy, and STILL kept Hall with Hogan here is insane. They should have had Hall join the Wolfpack here
I think so too. If you rewatch the Fingerpoke of Doom match, when Hall comes out, he gets a great reaction and you can tell the fans really wanted The Outsiders to be back as a team and be faces. But to my knowledge, I don't think The Outsiders being a face tag team ever happened.
I suffered a seizure and a medical emergency, I have to say this weeks reliving the war hits so much harder. Hope you're having a jam up week wherever you are buddy.
@Dude McGuybro Hopefully you've got the jam to recover from those, got a friend who has epilepsy so wishing you luck in dealing with that. Just make sure you don't fall ill of chinlocks or you might be a goner
This is still the best series on UA-cam! Thank you Wrestling Bios. The reviews are always on point and hilarious. This is worth watching for the Mario edit alone. 😂
Bro, the editing on this video is some of your best work yet! It's been amazing seeing the progression since you started the channel. It's obvious how much you you put into these videos. All love man
@@Mr92094 That’s wild, I had no idea. Did some of the other guys just not like him or something? Or maybe jealous of the streak? Goldberg feels like the WCW version of Ultimate Warrior to me, a lot of style and little substance. But maybe that’s too harsh?
@@scotteous Goldberg came in as a rookie with no experience and got an immediate push and started squashing everyone. There's a big thing in wrestling about paying your dues and those old veterans definitely had to feel like he didn't deserve to be there let alone getting booked to beat guys who felt like they had earned their spot.
It’s awesome to know that I can always count on this every Thursday. It’s crazy to think we are at 142 already. I still remember the first couple episodes thinking this is going to blow up. Not many people have the time/talent to put out this kind of great content.
And also not only have we been treated to 142 weeks of gold, it's crazy how much this has evolved over time. The production, the confidence in his speaking, and the format. It's only gotten better over time
@@JWS1985 I also like how the scoring system is at the end now. I can’t remember when I started but I like to score the matches myself and compare it to his lol
Discovered this Series when I was recovering from Renal Cancer surgery. (Last September) Thank you for your hard work Sir! Goldbergs true weakness is Jericho 😅
Glenn Gilbertti is the most underrated wrestling talent of all time. He looked good, made a terrible gimmick work, had some technical skill, decent on the mic. Closer to the total package than Luger.
Perfect timing! I just finished popping a bag of popcorn, had sat down to see what I could watch when I got the notification. Can't wait for another great video. Thanks Wrestling Bios! :D
You popped that popxorn for nothing else but RtW. You know it. I know it. Everybody here knows that is exactly what the popcorn was for. Enjoy your meal.
Feels weird to be ahead of this series now (just finished Fully Loaded '98) but always great work WB! Always a delight to watch on Thursday afternoons.
Jason Sensation had a brief developmental contract with WWE. Mostly as a manager for Brian Kendrick and I think even Daniel Bryan. He also wrestled in the Indy’s over here mostly in the Toronto area. Met him when his indy company came to my small town in 2000. We spent an afternoon talking about Owen Hart and putting over Kurt Angle. Solid guy. He did an appearance on Rene Dupree’s podcast if anyone’s interested.
Haa! 7:32 "I'm about to kill the pyro guy." Pretty sure that was the nice way of explaining what was going through his mind while he was stuck in that pod trying to cool down. 😄👍
I've been looking forward to this all day long! Glad to be off work for the week and LOVING another episode of RtW!!! Waiting for my new WrestlingBios shirts to come in the mail, hoping they're here in time for my birthday 😊
I still remember the Wolfpac being cool and even more so looking back it was a great way for white meat baby faces to be cool in the antihero era, such as Lex Luger, it worked perfectly for him at the time and the group itself just embodied dominance. As for the Hall-Hogan angle, that was novel at the time for a swerve to happen in one night. So I'd have gone for a nitro w here but I was never a fan of dx so I'm biased haha

I was at this episode of Raw. Me and my friend still laugh today how many times Kane and Taker came out. And Kane's Pyro got louder every time he came out
The reason why Nick Patrick checks out Finlay's elbow is not for his elbow, it's to check if Bret's hold was a choke or not. Also, I believe Goldberg's true weakness, even if it's farfetched, is a cattle prod. I just have a hunch that it is, but I don't know.

What is Goldberg’s true weakness?
Matches over 5 minutes?
Cattle prods?
