I used to watch Monday Night Wrestling with my father, who is no longer with us. When I relive the war, I remember things he said, how he reacted to Austin, how much he missed Flair, how much he hated Syxx. It brings him back, if only briefly. Thank you.
Same here brother, use to watch Monday Nights with my dad who also isn’t here. WrestlingBios is my favorite UA-cam channel just because this series alone.
So good ! I can't stand hearing Road Dogg do that bit week after week after week for 3 years ! He still did that same thing every week even when DX were nasty heels in 2000 which I found very strange
That belt segment was fascinating. It's always cool to learn some new information when you think you've heard every single bit of trivia about the Attitude Era.
I never understood why they never did reruns of Attitude Era shows. It’s a easy ratings grab. Think of how good Full House, Family Matters and George Lopez reruns did…how many new generations they were introduced to.
So I want to say thank you for this series. I turn 41 this coming up Wednesday and I've been missing my youth a lot lately. Your series has been good for my nostalgia. It's helped me get through the thought of aging. I appreciate you very much.
He did. Multiple people have said that off camera, he was laughing harder than anyone. Owen was a master ribber, but knew when to laugh at himself too.
@@zlinedavid I always assumed Owen had a great sense of humor. People ripped on Bobby Heenan when he was not taking the Bret Hart vs Chris Benoit - OWEN HART TRIBUTE MATCH on _Nitro_ seriously and was cracking his routine jokes during the match, but I'm sure Owen would have been laughing and enjoying Bobby's commentary...
I started watching “Reliving the War” two months ago. I’ve watched every episode in those two months and now I’m finally all caught up. I don’t have a problem saying this is the best wrestling UA-cam channel available. Keep up the good work!
@9:03 Austin confirmed this story about the belt cutting him on the Hell Yeah home video in 99 (would say VHS but it was also ported to DVD months later as one of their first discs).
I’ve been waiting for this episode!! I was at this one, this was the first RAW I ever went to. This was also when they filmed the first Sunday Night HeAT. A great night that I’ll never forget.
That smoking skull belt is my all time favorite belt and I never see it make any lists. So glad to see it. Thank you for all you do. You are truly appreciated
Another awesome upload from the wrestling channel with the most jam on the planet! Wrestling bios always delivers. Definitely a highlight of my week. Awesome stuff as always. Thank you Mr Bios.
Bagwell & Steiner we’re super entertaining at this time. I loved the times Buff would hang off the bicep pose trying to move it. Always makes me laugh 😂
This series reminds me just how much of a Mark 14 year old me was. That Best of Glacier VHS tape line was absolutely savage. I look forward to this series every week. Thanks again Wrestling Bios.
What Vince did to Vader and the Road Warriors is just disgusting. Vince couldn't stand some of the best wrestlers, who made their names outside of his company.
You mean paying them when they weren’t performing well in the ring? These were not the early 90s Vader and LOD, age and injuries had definitely caught up to all of them.
@Arthur Reese Vader left and immediately went to all japan and rejuvenated his career, won the triple crown. Had nothin to do with him being past his prime. Hulks drinking problem probably didnt help the road warriors but honestly rhey kind of felt out of place in the attitude era. Even tho they were probably some of the hardest guys in the locker room at the time their on screen apperance made them feel cartoonish (vader suffered from this to but to a lesser extent) and there booking definetly didnt help either.
I remember being a kid and when Val Venis was gonna get his pee pee choppie choppied I was terrified. It taught me never mess with another man’s wife 😂
That’s the good old fashioned life lessons I miss from this era of wrestling! Back then I was about 13 years old and I knew it was a work but dropped all the pretenses and watched thinking to myself how are they gonna finish this storyline? Are they gonna chop a man’s dong off on live television? How are they gonna make that look real and inevitably when the sword comes down is Val gonna go around with his junk tucked like he got castrated? For a storyline as bonkers (Russoiest?) as this I think they pulled it off quite well and got a mid carder some upper card attention in the process. Did it age well? Hell no! But I don’t care it was a good bit of fun!
@@freeparking301 I thought the same like what is he going to do going forward! Well at least the lights went off to stop it thanks to John Wayne Bobbitt. I remember as a kid thinking who is he until someone said he got choppie choppied to his peepee lol
I went to the Nitro show in San Antonio when I was a kid, amazed by the spectacle of it all! After the show went off the air there was a dark match between Goldberg and Giant/Big Show that Goldberg ended up winning rather quickly.

Thursday is my happy day... new RTL video! I legitimately look forward to this... just subscribed to the new channel bro, you got a subscriber for life in me
That Raw was taped the previous week, as I was at the Raw/Sunday Night Heat taping on July 27, 1998 at the San Diego Sports Arena that aired the following week. I’m excited to see the RTW episode tomorrow, as a 13 year-old me is in the crowd somewhere with my best friends and siblings
19:34 Rick Rude’s facial hair is unhinged… what is even happening here? What in the Hillbilly Charlie Daniels Tractor Pullin’ Kissing Cousin is going on with his face?!?!
Started watching 'Reliving the War' at around Ep.40 (I believe) and very quickly went back to watch every other episode to catch up. Unfortunately I wasn't really able to follow WCW back in the day, I knew certain major storylines just by watching much later or hearing from friends who were more invested than I was at the time but being able to see both shows at the same time is genuinely awesome. You are an absolute legend for spending your time doing this for people, like myself, who loved/still love Wrestling. I've recommended that lots of my friends checkout and subscribe to your channel specifically for this series, amongst your other videos. If you see this, know I very much look forward to finishing on a Thursday night, getting home and watching the latest instalment. However if I could ask 1 thing, and forgive if I've forgotten if you have. As much as I actually enjoy the Hitman 'Shut up' meme that is now burned into my brain, being the absolute mark that I am, could you let 1 full Road Dogg 'Ladies and Gentleman' speech through the cracks, as its genuinely 1 of my favourite things about this era of wrestling.
That graffiti in Goldberg's locker room was quite the mystery. I imagine that only the Dark Knight himself, using the "link the clues together" system from Telltale's Batman game, could've cracked that case. Batman: "Hmm...some of this graffiti says 'Goldberg.' I wonder if it could mean...Bill Goldberg?"
