Luffy literally DIED and still beat kaido. I’m pretty sure dying from damage is worse to whatever damage or stamina drain kaido had (which could be very small in the grand scheme of things) For all we know kaido could’ve been at 90% when gear 5 came out. Luffy was at 0 and luckily had his heart start beating again xD

That’s the equivalent of a grown man fighting a group of toddlers. One of the toddlers grabbed a knife and swung it at him and cut through some of his skin. Now the grown man punches one of the toddlers (Luffy) repeatedly and it dies… then it ressurects into a grown man with the same damage that the toddler took (in the hypothetical) lol
I feel like we've done this song and dance with Luffy so many times by now. Luffy beat Doflamingo, but he was helped by Law, and Doffy lost stamina by doing the bird cage, so even tho Luffy won, he was still considered weaker than Doffy. Then Luffy beats Katakuri, but Kat stabbed himself and ultimately gave up, so again Luffy wasn't stronger. Now it's all the same with Kaido. Honestly, I'd agree with these arguments, but as we should know by now, Luffy's strength increases so much between islands, that I wouldn't call it a stretch that Luffy may have truly surpassed Kaido by this point in the manga

Luffy also managed to beat Kat is spite of having taken more hits from Lat vs the other way around, and despite what people argue there’s not much to suggest that Kat could have actually continued the fight even if he wanted to.
@michaeldorsey9231 facts, they also forget that Kaido was hitting Luffy with stronger blows. So Luffy was tanking heavier blows than Kaido. Not to mention the 9 scabbards couldn't even open the scar that an Oden from 20 years ago did. Also to add to this they speak on Gear 5 but forget Kaido had to use his hybrid form to fight base Luffy

@eonragnarock2366 exactlyyyyyy bro Like compare attacks from supernova, scabbards that only know ryou, and yamato vs attacks from fucking Kaido💀 Oda made it clear that they were in their last legs by that point (after the Ragnarok against Giant luffy) both exhausted asf, arguably luffy was more exhausted since he died just a couple of minutes ago lol. And then luffy flat out overpowers Kaido's strongest attack, and the flame clouds were already gone by that point so none of that cope. Luffy was fighting in base for most of the fight, and G2/G3, he survived and didn't get knocked out by a Ragnaraku from Drunken Kaido, so if he plays it smart, doesn't over do it with G4, and finishes with G5, he could win against a fresh Kaido.

It would definitely be a pretty close fight, none of the high tiers in one piece could do better than at least a high dif against each other. I think Oda has made that pretty clear
There's 4 emperors for a reason, they're on a stale mate, even Big Mom who everyone clowns on and deems as the weakest yonko, managed to fight for 3 days against Kaido. And even Kuzan who we know lost, it lasted 10 days, that's no mid diff💀that's the extremest of diffs. And even Shanks who everyone pulls in a pedestal, he was scarred by BB (with no fruit) and has been warning and weary of him the whole story, you don't do that if you can mid diff him lol
Bahrang King Gun wasn't a struggle, did you forget that Momo was trying to push Onigashima away during that? It wasn't a struggle, the punch was literally never able to work if the island was in the way. Luffy was literally waiting for an island full of his friends and people were out of the way before he unleashed the attack that finished off Kaido, never forget narrative when you powerscale, because it matters
Well, Kaido was on the wrong side of gravity (going upwards). He was more exhausted than Luffy as he never got breaks and recoveries. Especially a resurrection and a godly powerup. Narrative still has Kaido above him, especially due to Gear 5's time limit. The others my have inflicted less damage on him but he was holding back a lot at the time and was expending his stamina.

Kaido being sober literally didn’t make a difference at all the drunkenness made him stronger. He also says that kaido blitzed luffy (he didnt), omitting that the cipher pol agent jumped in the way

Luffy fans really believe that fighting someone who was ganked for HOURS with various assists like it was JJK means that Luffy wins? Color me surprised. They probably think that Luffy would have beat Doflamingo, too, despite Doffy having his organs rearranged and using his Haki to destroy an ISLAND while Luffy was getting carted around.

Kaido and Luffy were both equally tired, both were nerfed to shit and neither had the time left to play around, or else they would've died. The reason Kaido waited until the end to pull out his flame dragon torch is because he wanted a good fight, but didn't want to kill luffy. Then, he realized if he kept toying around he would've died and pulled out his strongest attack. Plus, let's not forget kaido was surprised luffy could even stand after their first 2 clashes. Luffy healed up by eating but you can't make that excuse with the last round, luffy didn't get his stamina back and kaido didn't either, it was a fair fight in the end. Sure, you could argue kaido was overall stronger than luffy but that's like saying crocodile is stronger than current luffy because he beat him back in alabasta, it doesn't make sense as a take.
This is so facts, I'm so sick and tired on this kaido agenda, sure he's strong but by the time Luffy awakened gear 5 he surpassed kaido plain and simple, people seem to ignore important details when they say kaido is stronger.

I feel like it needs to be pointed out that kaido took every attack thrown at him, he could definitely dodge attacks and the only one luffy could effectively use takes time. But either way kaido can damage luffy in every avaliable way since his fire can burn luffy
Every time ppl bring up all the characters Kaido fought b4 losing to Kaido i always ask them, "Do you really think Kaido was pressed by them?" The scabbards, Kidd, Killer, and Law; Kaido was not pressed by any of them. Luffy pressed Kaido first and his attacks were too shallow meaning all the attacks weaker than his were too. The only person one rooftop who actually contributed to the win other than stalling for time was Zoro who actually damaged Kaido and Momo who moved the Island(Yamato was a time stall but she still put in work)
Yeah, it's impressive that Kaido was able to endure all of that damage, but his endurance is aided by his high durability, which made it so he didn't have to endure nearly as much damage as Luffy needed to endure

The only person who scarred Kaido was Zoro*, who used hints of Conqueror's haki into his strongest attack; Asura. *I'm not including Oden in this statement because I'm sure it's a given seeing as we are discussing the scar he left on Kaido. When I say "Zoro's the only one who scared Kaido" I'm referring to the fighters on rooftop; Luffy, Zoro, Law, Kidd, Yamato, Momo, Killer, and the Scabbards.
Chip damage matter. Especially if it came from the same guy who had multiple chances of recovery. Even his "death" doesn't matter. He was resurrected and got stronger due to his godly DF power.
i feel like it just comes down to who was most fatigued during the final stages of the battle. Of cause theres an argument for kaido due to the insane amount of attacks he took while holding up an entire island. What could you even do to get more fatigued. Fucking die. Luffy gets bodied 4 times and dies. Sure kaido was fighting dura neg fodder for the entire fight and took some real damage but luffy was fighting kaido. So i believe luffy was more fatigued and he still won the clash at the end so luffy prob win if they fight at full stamina. It's a bit weird with the whole g5 timer so maybe its better to say that g5 luffy is stronger than kaido but kaido might win due to stamina issues. idk
@@kylehalpern6695Luffy died after he had Advanced Conquerors Haki, he came back to Life with Gear 5 which took away some (Not all) of his injuries. There’s also the fact that Luffy was able to rest and was able to eat tons of food then got back into the fight against Kaido and still got bodied.
@@JR-pu9bn the eating doesn't matter. When Luffy died and came back he said and I quote " I can keep fighting a bit longer" ch 1044. He never healed any injuries. His heart just started again. It's basically adrenaline. He had less HP than Kaido and won. Ergo Luffy is stronger

Luffy literally died which is significantly much worse of a handicap then minor lacerations that may or may not have been healed by the zoan attribute.
The zoan attribute only heals when awakened. Meaning luffy was getting regen while kaido wasnt. Also gear 5 js gave him an extra battery and healed him completely. Kaido was fatigued from fighting for so long

Its stated that awakened zoans best strengths are their extreme toughness and healing capabilities. So yes luffy is healing throughout battle. Luffy also gets stronger as he laughs in gear 5. So luffy is being replenished and continuously increasing in strength whereas kaido is getting exhausted and continuously gettinng weaker and luffy still had to resort to bajrang gun to beat him.
I honestly have to say that right now Luffy isn't quite above Kaido yet solely because Gear 5 stamina problem, the two combatants are very close in power where both can severely harm one another with Luffy having an edge with a stronger finisher attack. However Kaido is an endurance and durability monster that far exceeds Luffy's which is why I give Kaido a slight edge. Once Luffy gets gear 5 down that's when I believe he'd truly surpass Kaido.
Just finished the vid and noticed that you conveniently forgot the statement Luffy made of his Ryou attacks(which has dura negation that should be higher than the others(with the exception of Zoro's Asura and haki dragon that he made with Enma)) was too shallow to actually injure Kaido. Also, Kaido only begins huffing and puffing after getting hit by Luffy's ACOC attacks.

Flaming bagua is probably a shit ton of damage. Also u dont NEED that much damage in a fight. Most top tiers arent as durable as luffy is.. they arent zoan users or almost immune to blunt damage. Keep in mind. Also he held back a lot on everyone he fought until gear 5. + that insane speed. He dont need to do as much dmg as shanks if shanks cant take that much dmg himself
@@hackingchampion nah . People forget how powerful luffy was once he unlocked COC. His base form was able to split the sky with kaido. A feat we ONLY see yonko s do. Then luffy stacked gears on top of that. Still wasnt doing too much to kaido. Then even in g5 kaido was doing fairly well until the final clash. A clash that was unnecesary as kaido could of simply dodged it and then luffy lost after that
@@faceagain5703 But Battle IQ should also be counted into the fight. Kaido could not have dodged the Final Clash because he does not have the fighting IQ to dodge in situation. Also according to Oda, if Luffy and Kaido were to clash again, there is no way Oda will make Luffy lose to Kaido again. I think narrative is favoring Luffy over Kaido (unless we see Kaido in the Final Saga somehow with an awakening) Then the tables can switch. Luffy wins Extreme-Insane Dif for me
I think Kaido was slowing you more power over time. Now yes Kaido did receive injuries but them injuries didn’t really affect Kaido at all What I’m saying is when he did get attack by Luffy squad he basicall shrug it off and s/b them all making Luffy get back up learning CoC coating. Then when Kaido fights this Luffy Kaido finally got happy someone was actually strong enough so he can enjoy fighting basically kinda saying that what they were doing way before was meaningless. But this Kaido got to excited and didn’t realize he been knocked out Luffy and he was fighting air. Then he calm down and started fighting Yamato and Luffy then eventually when luffy went g4 and going back fight Kaido solo. Kaido got back happy and started to go all out more. Bc luffy was finally able to get Kaido to start going all out and use up most of his energy to move and to put power into his attack and when luffy went g5 that’s when Kaido got tired. In my long winded convo I believe correct Luffy would extreme diff-mid diff Kaido and only reason is it depends on when Luffy goes g5 bc now he goes g5 right away instead of slowly building up.

Kaido only showed signs of fatigue after Luffy went into g5 never when he fought Luffy in g4 or after Luffy died. Also when Luffy fought Kaido so he brought more out of Kaido then when Luffy was fighting with everyone else. You can check this by how much he gets stronger and comes back overpowering that version of Kaido so Kaido just get stronger and process repeats
@Tylearned you left out that after kaido beat Luffy after he unlocked advanced armament Luffy was saved by laws crew and was allowed to eat meat and other food in order to recuperate whereas kaido got nothing just saying XD.
Luffy is pretty much objectively stronger, Kaido took minor wounds from way weaker opponents excluding Zoro’s slash whereas Luffy took hits that one tapped him multiple times while he was also using transformations that destroy his stamina pool, right before he died to Kaido/Guernica he couldn’t even stand up right, we also see that Kaido regenerated from a lot of the injuries he sustained as we simply see them not being present later on which makes sense given his zoan df, Luffy was way more fatigued and injured in their final fight which Luffy won, Luffy also has the portrayal of surpassing Kaido as he does so with all of his major opponents, he surpassed Katakuri, he surpassed Lucci, he surpassed Crocodile etc, on top of that I’d like to mention that Kaido lifting onigashima isn’t as impressive considering Momonosuke who just barely learnt how to fly was effectively able to do the same thing

Luffy got healed 3 times and ofc he didnt take the same amount of damage he started using acoc. Like that argument is so bad. All that matters is luffys hp, kaidos hp and gear 4+5 vs end of eano kaido. Kaido was overpowering g4 easily after his amps and the fight started after kaido took internal damage from 5 supernova, fought luffy alr, fought momo and yamato alr, luffy and yamato alr and still packed up luffy easily after he started using fs. In the gear 5 fight luffy gets an hp boost as stated by him that he could fight a lil longer. If u think he got revived at 0% hp then how did he take kaidos acoc attacks post amps if hes getting hurt by BASIC armament rn💀 and after that kaido could clap luffy while recharging gear 5 but didnt and let luffy get another hp+stamina boost as stated by kaido and momo that luffys on the verge of death but ofc he starts tanking op attacks by kaido infused with acoc (luffy gets hurt by kizaru clones and basic armament🙏😭) kaido vs luffy is such a bad argument because kaido quite literally just outlasts and overpaces luffy in every instance

My guy! In one of your older videos I made a commet explaining why Luffy was still weaker than Kaido post Wano with most the reasoning you had here. I then got dog piled by Luffy Stans haha. So thank you going in to detail about the fight, here's hoping by the end of Egghead Luffy will irrefutably prove he's Yonko level.
First luffy himself wasnt at his best the entire fight in the 1vs1 he was at first prior fighting without advenced conquers made shallow damage and wasted his energy. Then his advenced conquers in their first round in the 1vs1 was stated by kaido, after he knocked luffy down from the island crude and clumsy only in their second round did he perfect his advenced conquers and split the sky with kaido, and only in the end got gear 5 after he was dead and came back, and you can not have me belive that kaido was more tired and weaker than luffy who did the jesus and returned to the living after diying. and he himself was spaming the gears. Even trough i think kaido would still in a fair 1vs1 win because of garbage stamina that luffy has in comparisan to kaido, gear 5 would be stronger than kaido but he would still loose to kaido because he cant knock kaido out before luffy runs out of stamina. So gear 5 is for a time stronger than kaido but would still loose. Secondly People massivly overrat the damage kaido took prior the 1vs1.Luffy himself said he did prior to advenced conquers shallow damage to kaido and in gear 4 luffy did the most damage against kaido expect zoro we know that because big meme law and kid where all impresed by luffy constantly hitting kaido in gear 4 and he has durabilty begation to and i obviously dont need to explain if the worst gen did shallow damage to kaido the scabards did to. The only real lasting damage kaido took was zoro scaring kaido and yamato fighting him with advenced conquers. Yamato Was the only person who did massive damage to kaido besides luffy and well zoro did some but the scar healt in a few seconds so he didnt do that much.

I think people dont understand that awakened zoan massively regen the user. So yeah, when Luffy turned into G5 he had more stamina prior to his death, not all of it but still a bit more. And the last round wasnt a one sided battle for Luffy as people claim it was, even with Luffy negation the durability of Kaido and with a way better control over his body Kaido fought him just well until the last island size punch. Luffy G5 is impressive but it is not invencible, if he and Kaido fought again either side could win
One of the worst vs videos I've ever seen, I was going to write tons of things but when I saw the comments of people who actually watch the One Piece I didn't need to write, they already wrote it one by one for me.
Acnologia swats Kaido like a fly. It isn't even remotely close, but if You want to see an execution and not a fight then sure, great suggestion. Also Natsu gets to low outerversal and at least infinite speed. You're welcome. You don't even need a video for that. I just told You his scaling.
It’s never explicitly stated, but it could be inferred from visuals that Kaido might actually have a strong healing factor (ie, none of the wounds he got from the Scabbards appear to be visible/bleeding well after he mops them), so some of the wounds he sustained could have diminished during his few moments of reprieve. That said he simply had fewer/shorter rest periods than Luffy got, so even accounting for that Kaido would still have been fighting through more injuries. I still think that G5 Luffy would have better AP given their final clash, but he’s not that far above Kaido and unfortunately is nowhere near as enduranced.
Even if you want to argue he has a healing factor that would also take stamina as well but he is a dragon which are known to have healing factors in some stories and mythology

As long as Luffy has something to eat he can not only replenish some stamina, but he somehow seems to metabolize it fast enough to even heal (ie, drinking milk from Bege’s fridge allowed him to regrow his tooth). “Oh and it was stated that awakened zoans have very high recovery speed and luffy is an awakened zoan so nice try” Except that Luffy seems to be some odd exception where his awakening takes a lot out of him. One use from G5 is enough to reduce Luffy to wrinkles, and further use rendered Luffy unconscious for days after that.

Yall forget Luffy was in worse condition for the majority of the fight and alcohol makes him stronger. Only strong character that actually did smth to Kaido was Yamato. Im sorry but 99% of the attacks Kaido got that werent from Luffy did jack shit. The only one worthy of note is Zoros Ashura. Thats the only attack that actually managed to cause some form of damage and trying to say other attacks like Kids shockwave or Laws Gamma knife caused significant damage to Kaido is hilariously disingenuous when he insulted Kids attack right afterwards, in base and then after eating Laws attack just said it was "annoying". These attacks did nothing. But hypothetically lets say he did get massively hurt by the attacks that left no visible trace and were insulted. Lets say Kaido was at 40% (more or less) by the time G5 came out.... Luffy straight up died moments ago. Kaido's at 40% while Luffy was literally at 0%. And you cant argue that Luffy got fully healed because #1 we still see the injuries on Luffys body and #2 Luffy stated that him being on deaths door was heavily affecting him meaning we KNOW the revival wasnt a significant heal. And especially now that Luffy has had more time to test G5 and improved his attacks egghead G5 should 100% be over Kaido. You can even see proof of that with Luffys White Star Gun which is an improved version of the dura neg punch he hit Kaido with during their fight. Luffys improved since and if it wasnt safe to say he was stronger by the end of Wano it sure is safe now.
if kaido played for the win instead of hoping his opponent would last longer and beat him, he can just stall gear 5 for 10 mins let alone deciding to take on an island sized punch with no mobility. I say no mobility because luffy was holding kaido with his other hand so he would be able to land the bajrang gun and the moment kaido went magma phase luffy had to let go which means kaido could have just dogded but bro as the giga chad he is chose not to :D
Every truly thinks Gear 5 healed Luffy 100% and act like he wasn’t at his limit before that, people should just look at how much damage Luffy took during onigashima, BEFORE KAIDO AS WELL, Luffy was exceptionally more damaged than Kaido and still held his own, overpowered Kaido at times and defeating him in the process, we haven’t seen Luffy at 100% in Gear 5 remember that

Completelty disagree. A fresh kaido vs fresh luffy both at their strongest would be an incredibly close fight, it could honestly go wither way but I’m leaning more towards kaido.

If luffy was dead he would be dead.. G5 revived luffy and healed him otherwise he would be dead. When luffy went out of gear 5 he couldn't even stand while he was in gear 5 he was laughing and using all his attacks. This means G5 luffy is always in 100% and doesn't feel fatigue

Luffy beat Doflamingo, but he was helped by Law, and Doffy lost stamina by doing the bird cage, so even tho Luffy won, he was still considered weaker than Doffy. Then Luffy beats Katakuri, but Kat stabbed himself and ultimately gave up, so again Luffy wasn't stronger. Now it's all the same with Kaido. Honestly, I'd agree with these arguments, but as we should know by now, Luffy's strength increases so much between islands, that I wouldn't call it a stretch that Luffy may have truly surpassed Kaido by this point in the manga

Oda made it clear that they were in their last legs by that point (after the Ragnarok against Giant luffy) both exhausted asf, arguably luffy was more exhausted since he died just a couple of minutes ago lol.
And then luffy flat out overpowers Kaido's strongest attack, and the flame clouds were already gone by that point so none of that cope.
Luffy was fighting in base for most of the fight, and G2/G3, he survived and didn't get knocked out by a Ragnaraku from Drunken Kaido, so if he plays it smart, doesn't over do it with G4, and finishes with G5, he could win against a fresh Kaido.

Well, Kaido was on the wrong side of gravity (going upwards). He was more exhausted than Luffy as he never got breaks and recoveries. Especially a resurrection and a godly powerup. Narrative still has Kaido above him, especially due to Gear 5's time limit. The others my have inflicted less damage on him but he was holding back a lot at the time and was expending his stamina.
It was still a struggle as Kaido was still able to push back despite all those odds against him.

Every time ppl bring up all the characters Kaido fought b4 losing to Kaido i always ask them, "Do you really think Kaido was pressed by them?" The scabbards, Kidd, Killer, and Law; Kaido was not pressed by any of them. Luffy pressed Kaido first and his attacks were too shallow meaning all the attacks weaker than his were too. The only person one rooftop who actually contributed to the win other than stalling for time was Zoro who actually damaged Kaido and Momo who moved the Island(Yamato was a time stall but she still put in work)

The only shown endurance I'd say is better is Whitebeard. But it seems like all the top tiers have crazy endurance.

I honestly have to say that right now Luffy isn't quite above Kaido yet solely because Gear 5 stamina problem, the two combatants are very close in power where both can severely harm one another with Luffy having an edge with a stronger finisher attack. However Kaido is an endurance and durability monster that far exceeds Luffy's which is why I give Kaido a slight edge.
Once Luffy gets gear 5 down that's when I believe he'd truly surpass Kaido.

Just finished the vid and noticed that you conveniently forgot the statement Luffy made of his Ryou attacks(which has dura negation that should be higher than the others(with the exception of Zoro's Asura and haki dragon that he made with Enma)) was too shallow to actually injure Kaido. Also, Kaido only begins huffing and puffing after getting hit by Luffy's ACOC attacks.

Bc luffy was finally able to get Kaido to start going all out and use up most of his energy to move and to put power into his attack and when luffy went g5 that’s when Kaido got tired.

Luffy is pretty much objectively stronger, Kaido took minor wounds from way weaker opponents excluding Zoro’s slash whereas Luffy took hits that one tapped him multiple times while he was also using transformations that destroy his stamina pool, right before he died to Kaido/Guernica he couldn’t even stand up right, we also see that Kaido regenerated from a lot of the injuries he sustained as we simply see them not being present later on which makes sense given his zoan df, Luffy was way more fatigued and injured in their final fight which Luffy won, Luffy also has the portrayal of surpassing Kaido as he does so with all of his major opponents, he surpassed Katakuri, he surpassed Lucci, he surpassed Crocodile etc, on top of that I’d like to mention that Kaido lifting onigashima isn’t as impressive considering Momonosuke who just barely learnt how to fly was effectively able to do the same thing

I think people dont understand that awakened zoan massively regen the user. So yeah, when Luffy turned into G5 he had more stamina prior to his death, not all of it but still a bit more. And the last round wasnt a one sided battle for Luffy as people claim it was, even with Luffy negation the durability of Kaido and with a way better control over his body Kaido fought him just well until the last island size punch. Luffy G5 is impressive but it is not invencible, if he and Kaido fought again either side could win

It’s never explicitly stated, but it could be inferred from visuals that Kaido might actually have a strong healing factor (ie, none of the wounds he got from the Scabbards appear to be visible/bleeding well after he mops them), so some of the wounds he sustained could have diminished during his few moments of reprieve. That said he simply had fewer/shorter rest periods than Luffy got, so even accounting for that Kaido would still have been fighting through more injuries.
I still think that G5 Luffy would have better AP given their final clash, but he’s not that far above Kaido and unfortunately is nowhere near as enduranced.
Even if you want to argue he has a healing factor that would also take stamina as well but he is a dragon which are known to have healing factors in some stories and mythology

Except that Luffy seems to be some odd exception where his awakening takes a lot out of him. One use from G5 is enough to reduce Luffy to wrinkles, and further use rendered Luffy unconscious for days after that.

Im sorry but 99% of the attacks Kaido got that werent from Luffy did jack shit. The only one worthy of note is Zoros Ashura. Thats the only attack that actually managed to cause some form of damage and trying to say other attacks like Kids shockwave or Laws Gamma knife caused significant damage to Kaido is hilariously disingenuous when he insulted Kids attack right afterwards, in base and then after eating Laws attack just said it was "annoying". These attacks did nothing.
But hypothetically lets say he did get massively hurt by the attacks that left no visible trace and were insulted. Lets say Kaido was at 40% (more or less) by the time G5 came out.... Luffy straight up died moments ago. Kaido's at 40% while Luffy was literally at 0%. And you cant argue that Luffy got fully healed because #1 we still see the injuries on Luffys body and #2 Luffy stated that him being on deaths door was heavily affecting him meaning we KNOW the revival wasnt a significant heal. And especially now that Luffy has had more time to test G5 and improved his attacks egghead G5 should 100% be over Kaido.

If luffy was dead he would be dead.. G5 revived luffy and healed him otherwise he would be dead. When luffy went out of gear 5 he couldn't even stand while he was in gear 5 he was laughing and using all his attacks. This means G5 luffy is always in 100% and doesn't feel fatigue

Plus the added stamina drain that G5 take on Luffy. Luffy would straight up be more fatigue at that point then Kaido.
@@shaquillesommerville4060 Gear 5 loses to Kaido, look at Luffy vs Kizaru he burns out after a tanking a few hits, Luffy had to push multiple transformations with his gear 5 and Kaido only lost due to being significantly exhausted. Egghead showed Luffy's upper limits of endurance with gear 5th so Kaido simply outlasts him.

This still is a close fight. Even if kaido has better endurence, Luffy had better speed, ap etc. This a similar situation as Goku MUI vs Jiren as the latter had more endurence but Goku was overall superior

He's saying that if it were a true 1v1 with no one else around, Kaido wins easily. And with Gear 5s stamina issue it makes sense because Kaido can just endure whatever Gear 5 gives and kill Luffy in the weakened state.
