The best book of 2022 so far for me was definitely Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. Its raw reality and terrible beauty left me in awe. It took me a week to pick up my next book!
I'm highly anticipating the release of The Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber this September! Although I reaaalllyyy want to read King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo this month.

Favourite books this year: Circe by Madeline Miller and all the Heartstopper books. Anxiously waiting for Chain of Thorns to come out (have to wait until January 2023 now😭)

My favourite book this year has been Radio Silence by Alice Oseman! I was really shocked because it’s a contemporary with 500+ pages and usually I can’t stay focused on books that long , but it has easily gone into my favourite books of all time list! It’s about Aled from the Heartstopper books :) I really recommend it I think you would really like it!
I read Heartstopper before the show came out too! It’s so good!

I am an older reader who enjoys your videos. My favorite book so far this year is probably The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See which is historical fiction about the South Korean Island of Jeju. Some favorites read this year that you might like are Concrete Rose written by Angie Thomas and read by Dion Graham, The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates and The Puma Years by Laura Coleman read by herself. You have to read Malibu Rising! It is amazing! For me, my TJR tier list is Daisy Jones and the Six, then it's a tie between Malibu Rising and The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo. I need to read the rest of her books!!

my favorite book I've read this year is Inkspell by Cornelia Funke(well all three books really) and my most anticipated read is Anne of the Island by LM Montgomery!
My favorite read this year has been "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir it was hands down the most exciting just-one-more-chapter-oh-no-its-3am read that I've had in a long time. My most anticipated book of the year is "Greywaren" by Maggie Stiefvater it's the final book of the Dreamer Trilogy and it comes out in October and I am SO excited to read it!!!
I also just finished Project Hail Mary and it was good. Ah! The twist and turns of guessing what was going to happen and just, Andy Weir man. Good author
(I'm also waiting for greywaren release so I can binge the series)

I so highly recommend Mariana Zapata, she is the queen of Slow Burn in my opinion! The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is so good and so is From Lukov with Love.
I think I added almost every book to my TBR :D Malibu Rising was my favorite book that I have read this year and I cannot wait for the next Taylor Jenkins Reid to drop this August.

loving the casual vibes of this video :') I just found out about A Thousand Steps into Night and absolutely need to read it by the end of the year too!! my fave of this year so far (I doubt anything will top it tbh) has been Brown Girls by Daphne Palasi Andreades, and honestly it's been such a good reading year overall! sooooo many great reads and new faves. 2022 seems like a good year for discovering reading tastes and leaning into the surprises 🥰

Best book so far was The Devourers by Indra Das. Immediately had to buy it after listening to the audiobook. Most anticipated is Monsters Born and Made by Tanvi Berwah
My favorite slow burn is actually a duology (technically a trilogy but the main story is not involved in the third book) it’s called Mark of the Lion and it takes place in Rome.
If you liked twice shy you will probably lovvee the beach read, it is instantly reminded me of that when you mentioned the plot of twice shy

9:24, That's something that's been happening to me; I've been finding out that my faves have new projects that I should have heard about, but somehow missed. It may be a collective consciousness thing where a lot of us are changing so we're not in the places we used to be where we were keeping up with our favorite people and things.
Kingdom of the cursed and The Starless Crown are my favorite I've read so far and can't wait to finally pick up Shadow of the Fox 🥰📚

I can’t pick a favourite, but some of the books I’ve LOVED so far were Hana Khan Carries On, Sorcery of Thorns and The Fountains of Silence. I can’t wait for A Tempest of Tea, Foul Lady Fortune and The Final Gambit to be released

Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer is my romance pick because it's so much more than that. You've Got Mail mixed with grief of losing loved ones where our protagonists are in high school. It's a slow burn and it makes sense as to why. Definitely look into CW/TW though. As a slow reader, I read this almost 400-page book in 3 days... which is not like me to do at all. I had to buy a copy, so I could keep my quotes handy!
My favorite romance to date is definitely Love Hypotheses. I don’t know if it is necessarily slow burn but it’s very wholesome and if you like the academia setting it’s a good one ☺️
I definitely think you should read Malibu Rising. I read it and just loved it to pieces. It has a lot to do with relationship cycles and the relations between children and their parents and it was so good.

Foul Lady Fortune follows a side character from The Violent Delights and takes place a few years later so you might want to finish These Violent Ends before diving in to avoid potential spoilers
2 that I have really enjoyed and recommend are 'All that's Left in the World,' post apocalyptic romance - and the 'Love Hypothesis,' a fake relationship romance. Both so good!!!
I literally just finished reading I Must Betray You before watching this video! It was so good! Super heavy thought. Like this is not a light or happy book
I would read Our Violent Ends before picking up Foul Lady Fortune, because it takes place in the same universe and multiple characters from TVD and OVE appear in FLF and you might get big spoilers.

Omg not you too😂😂😂 I work at a preschool (2-4 year olds) and they keep singing this song all day, EVERY DAY!! Well a say song, I really mean the line “this girl is on fire” and that’s it. On repeat, again and again and again 5 days a freaking week😂😂😂 ps, love the bloopers, glad to know I’m not the only one who has trouble ‘wording’ on a daily basis❤️❤️

I loved These Violent Delights but Our Violent Ends truly improved upon it in every way - highly recommend! I also think Foul Lady Fortune will spoil a lot of what happens in Our Violent Ends

My favorite books this year definitely have to be Shadow&Bone and the Heartstopper series. I am currently reading volume 4 and I cannot wait for the release of volume five. Also, I currently work in a school and sooo many kids walk around reading Heartstopper. I always let them, even during lessons because helllooo?!?! there is nothing more important than heartstopper
