Hoping you feel a little bit better after recent events and that you're resting up and taking good care of yourself. Just wanted to send you this to get your glue and something nice for yourself, maybe put it towards new vlogging equipment as you you enjoy this so much or food for the weekend whichever 😊 💖
OMG! You totally didn't have to do that!! I feel so bad since no one has money right now! OMG, I really do TRULY appreciate it though. Your kindness really touched me!!! I will DEFINITELY order that glue asap and I'll post a video of the results when I get it done!! Someone said to research it first and to also do it in pieces at a time instead of all at once. (I guess for better results?) OMG I am just so touched!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you SOOOOO very much!! ❤️
Packaging is so important folks
Yes Ma'am! The pitcher was wrapped perfectly. It was just the basin. 😢
@@Iva.the.Southern.Appalachian aww I'm sorry 💔
I would be sick over that too. I keep half an eye out at thrift and antique shops for a red square baking dish like my mom used for chicken rice casserole.
I am glad Poshmark is doing the best by you that they can. Hope you are feeling better.
This breaks my antique pack rat heart 😭💔
OMG I know! She said it belonged to her Great Aunt and that she was so happy I was getting it because it was identical looking to one that my Mamaw when I was growing up. My great grandparents adopted and raised me.
@@Iva.the.Southern.Appalachian oh damn! 🙁
Sadly I'm feeling she did not pack that well enough. Should have been way more packing material. Sorry this happened.
I know. She was super sweet but there was like a thin paper bag and one thin layer of small bubble wrap under the basin. The pitcher was wrapped well but heavy and just placed inside the basin.
Hun there are places that can repair them to where you would never know it was broken but unfortunately I think the are usually expensive. I think you should try to glue it yourself, what have you got to lose? I would recommend a box of sand or modeling clay so you can hold and support the peices as they cure. Don't try to do it all at once and believe it or not read up on repairing broken glass
Thanks for that advice!! Do you have any idea how expensive those places usually are? Like just a ballpark?
Awe! That's too bad . I've heard extra packing is needed Some have seen packages drip kicked or tossed on to front steps etc . The delivery people are timed. . Just keep your eyes on the vendor sites I do hope you are feeling better ! ❤️🙏
You can report it to poshmark and most of the time they will reimburse your money with proof of damage (ie. pictures or video).
They just now said they'd refund the money. The seller was able to keep her money as the shipment was insured and I was able to keep the pitcher without having to mail the broken basin back through the mail.
Dang it! It happens...what do you do? Maybe there's a lonely basin out there that needs a pitcher.
I've had no luck finding these anywhere here locally. 😢 Occasionally I have seen a lone pitcher but no basins yet. I will keep looking for sure!!!!
So sorry to see that happen. Did you have insurance on the purchase, maybe it would cover repair.
The insurance was just to ensure the seller still got paid if it arrived broken and that I got refunded.
Ask her how much it would cost to send it to you and tell her your story.. See what she says. We have loads of these over here as they were so popular in the early 20th century it's just shipping them and posting them because they're so heavy but fragile
Ask her how much and I'll see what I can do x
That is so sweet of you. I already have the product. It arrived broken. It made me super sad because it was my anniversary present and my Mamaw, (my Great Grandparents adopted and raised me from a baby), had one exactly like it that she treasured. She sold hers when I was a teen when she needed money. (After my Papaw passed away and she was then a widow who was a single parent raising me.) It has lots of chips broken off but when I get the funds I'm going to attempt to get some ceramic glue or something and just see what happens if I try to glue some of the pieces back together...or look into places that repair these pieces as someone else mentioned but they said they're expensive so I'll just hold on to the pieces until I can figure out what to do!
So very sad. I don't think she packed it well enough. They aren't careful in the postal service either. I've never bought anything from Poshmark so can't help you there. I hope you are feeling better!
I agree completely. The pitcher was wrapped perfectly but the basin was sitting on a thin paper bag and a thin single layer of the small bubble wrap. Then the wrapped pitcher was placed right in the basin.
@@Iva.the.Southern.Appalachian I am so sorry. Especially after everything you have been through lately. You can try and glue it. It certainly could hurt! ❤️
I contacted the seller. Then Poshmark. They put that I accepted the sale and closed the sale and conversation. I then contacted their support team and restated my case. Then ended up by giving me my money back as they also let the seller keep the money. So I got the full about refunded. If I wouldn’t have done that I’m sure that nothing else would be done. I contact their support instead of the link. If you want more info I can send my statement and picture and their apology and message
I told them I should not be forced to keep defective or broken merchandise
They JUST closed out the case and said we would be refunded and that the seller would also receive full payment as the shipment was insured! I was very happy she got to keep her money, and I got to keep a least the pitcher! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and offering your time to help!!
That’s exactly how they did for me.
Congratulations!😊
She did a lousy job shipping it. There are a lot of nice sweet people who actually pack their packages correctly. She may be nice but she's not too bright
Yeah, there really was only one of those super thin bubble wrap pieces and a piece of paper under the basin which wasn't wrapped at all. Then she had the heavy pitcher wrapped really nice but the weight of it just put into the basin. 😢
@@Iva.the.Southern.Appalachian I feel your pain, I'm so sorry that happened.. but the good news is there are many out there.
