my grandmother and great grandmother have these in their rooms, my great grandma has it in every bedroom she has, and I always wondered what they were used for!! I once used one to wash my face in the morning but it was when i was really young lol, i didn't know and never knew how to really use it until now!
They probably lathered right next to the door and took a jug of warm water outside and just rinsed the hell out of it. If it’s something you’d think about doing they’ve most certainly done it. People used to put arsenic and lead all over shit because it looked good, and they wore butt plugs more than you can imagine because of diarrhea. They also put lit coals in buckets under their beds to warm them up so all bets are off.

Hai
How do you wash and rinse your 'bits' without getting water everywhere?
Pretty sure people didn't use this to wash their "bits" but I could be wrong.
Get a leg up on the table and position yourself directly over the basin. Exactly the same as with any modern basin.
