Definitely be following this build, be interesting to see how much fast than my f30 335d xdrive this car is, I achieved an 11.2 Q/mile full weight, stock turbo, only mods were intercooler, HPFP, down pipe, fuel pressure sensor, engine and gearbox map. No meth or nos ! check it out on dragy !
Stock turbo 11.2 not a chance xd, on santa pod surface i did 12.4 best time with those mods. 11.2 u need to run close to over 450bhp. Post links for your times bro.
@@TheRealNaika look on dragy mate, I’ve posted a lot over the last few years, 12.9 std, 11.66 with map and intercooler, 11.41 with intercooler HPFP and sensor, 11.27 with all of above plus downpipe. Your car needs a new tuner ? Or driver 🤪
Class seeing how much detail you're going into properly developing your products instead of just throwing parts at cars like alot of people do. Looking forward to seeing the progress soon
Already can't wait to see a full 600hp kit listed on the website! My 335d f31 now has +-432hp&840nm and i'm wanting more! Keep up the good work guys. Grtz from Holland
335D arround the 400 HP, only missing the wagner intercooler and darkside airintake for now. But I will get it to the 415/430 HP, Gr from Noord-Holland
Rob looking like a bouncer when you first walked into the printer room 😂 I can’t wait to see what you can wring out of this engine. If anyone can… Darkside can 💪🏼💨💨
What difference in oil pressure would the new pump allow for? And will you be selling the same spec or at least an upgraded one on your website in the future? I know me and my buddies have all struggled with bottom end failures in the past. (X5 40D, 435D and a 330D) Cheers!
Whats your guys take on preventative maintenance like the timing chain and bottom end? Heard a few people suffering from these at near to over 100k miles. Would be interested as my 435d has 82k miles
Are you going to use the standard chain or an reinforced one , because all we know that the original one installed in the n57 is very thin. Nice video i hope to see more .
Cool build, but overall costs exceeds expectation for performance. M4 with stage 1 would be close in performance to this build and if some cash is thrown to stage 2 real m4 then its totally faster car.
The clocks are from most LCI models. They just have to be coded for the vehicle they are been fitted to. The wheel was from eBay but take a look at Royal Steering wheels.
They're a bit chocolately, even more so than these N57 BMWs. If you have good history then a remap from Delta performance is the route to go. Should take a XFS to about 320bhp with DPF in place. Wouldn't bother trying to go further.
Just bought a 335d with N57z engine, how reliable are these heard a lot of them have bottom end failures and chain issues. Car was bout with 40k miles and had oil changes every 10k miles
You might want investigate using a different 3d polymer - Tullomer from Z-Polymers! Have a look at this video for the specs which might satisfy many different applications for motors and motorsport use cases. ua-cam.com/video/ngPksruJKr4/v-deo.htmlsi=VUU6vK7dPQB0JyPK
Please send this to the US… I will give you my credit card number and you can FedEx it to me. Also, any thoughts on using a dual R90 pump set up like Whitbread Performance has???
@ryanp6138 yeah that's why a oil cooler is used to sort that but look into santjer performance what the tri turbo set up is dialed in and numbers its producing is well ahead n57s

Have you guys modified the transmission also? Or just mapped it?
@@LikeBoost42 only a remap on the transmission.
Super stoked to see this big power build! Beyond bolt ons is where things get interesting.
You guys are the leader in N57 performance! 🍻
Be good to see some of those "speed of air" dimpled pistons in a TDI. From what I see on Dave's garage the benefits are huge, keen to see👍
Been waiting for this for a while now
Top boys as always!
very exciting and thanks for the build link, looking forward to the results
Excited to see this! I have one, stage 2 engine stage 3 gearbox and made 400bhp 775nm 👌
You lads are killing it right now, keep it up 🔥🔥🔥

Perfect video for car and BMW lovers👍🏾
Remember the days of big valve heads before turbos and Kent cams it made good power gains but nothing like adding a turbo or two
That’s gonna be a Weapon 👍
Love this !!!!

No plans to upgrade the chain at the moment.
Siuuuuu up the 35d
Where's the update?? Waiting (not so) patiently 😂

but, does it get 45mpg?
Would love to know the dial upgrade was done and who trimmed the steering wheel, they look👌👌 would love this done to my F33 435d👍🏼👍🏼💯💯

Afraid not!

There does seem to be a fair few failures but it's often on engines with poor service history.
@ I guess if oil changed every 5k miles we on the safe side, what engine oil do you recomend 5-30 or 5-40? Any specific brand?
did you ditched the Arosa now that the record got 1.1 seconds lower ?
No time for the Arosa unfortunately we're too busy with other projects.

Your setup is good for 550hp max
lets see
Its money its money isnt it
yeah we cant afford the M4 fuel bill!
Do it with no nos/meth

Thats on the M57, We may need to engineer a dual pump setup for this engine though. We'll find the limit first.
please start tuning Mercedes Diesels....pleeeezzzz
Everyone can flash a Mercedes diesel 🤡🤡
I doubt we will, buy a BMW or Audi! haha
stop costing me more money!
Sorry!
Are you doing owt with the gearbox lads?
