I enjoyed your WIP parade and your stash, congratulations on your win, the threads look amazing. I've been swamped for the last month especially so very behind on my flosstubes, holiday soon so fingers crossed there's good wifi and I can catch up whilst I'm stitching. x

Thank you for another enjoyable slice of Sally World - interesting about your flosstube numbers varying, but I'm sure summer time affects viewing figures. I watch a lot less (and more erratically depending on the weather) than in the winter months. I also agree about picking and choosing wips, though I only have 6 so not quite so many to swap around! I get quite stressed if I have more, in fact 4 would be fine...... so your idea of 50 starts next year brings me out in a hot sweat. I've just turned 60 and there's no way I'm doing that! As to the Jardin Privet project, I'd start over. If you're not happy with it you'll never pick it to stitch so better to start again and enjoy it. Hope you get good weather for all your camping - though I think it's obligatory to have rain when in a tent. Kim x
Thank you Kim. We did have the obligatory rain but made the best of it and had a great time with good good and excellent company. I am quite optimistic with my 50 starts that I will be able to fit some smalls in so that things don't get too hectic. I think half of the fun is going to be planning, organising and kitting up so very excited - may start feeling overwhelmed when I'm actually doing it but sure it will be a hoot 😄

I wish I had known about the sale on WDW fabric as I’d probably have got some. Maybe it’s a good thing I didn’t know 😂. My subscriber numbers are also very up and down. When I hit 1000 it was going up quite a lot but I think when I’ve posted my last 3 or 4 videos I’ve lost subscribers then it’s gone back up a bit. It’s weird lol. Enjoy your camping. I would half ditch the stitch. How? Cut out the finished spools 🧵🧵🧵 and sew into a little pinpillow or needlebook and restitch it in the count you like. The Anchor linen thread is gorgeous! I have never seen them here in The Netherlands. With linen thread, it is handy not only to use shorter pieces but also stitch it on something like evenweave. Linen thread on linen fabric causes the fraying. As I already said on Instagram, I love your Fliral Etchings. Now sitting here watching, I am going to get everything organized to get mine started this week. I am at our woodland cottage at the moment but have it in my head to dig it out if my stash when I am back home. Have you thought of getting a rechargeable neck lamp to use when camping? My mother bought me one and it is great. Have a great time camping 🏕!!

I’m just catching up with all my Flosstube videos after coming back from holiday so am getting to yours a bit later than usual! I enjoyed seeing all your WIPs! I really like the one you’re thinking about restarting on a smaller count. I know that if I was in your place I would restart mainly because my stitching looks so much better when I stitch with a single thread and if you’re not going to enjoy it on the 32 count maybe that would be best for you too! Just my opinion 😊Hapoy stitching!

I am new to your channel and I have subscribed. I enjoyed your WIP parade and I have also watched your video recap of the recent retreat which was so much fun. I live in the US and have been stitching since the 70’s, so a long time! I also took up quilting during Covid and learned to quilt online, and I have been doing a lot of that. You mentioned quilting. Do you also do videos with your quilting?

Hi Sally! Great to see you back. Congratulations on your JUNE finish of sweet Eleanor. I absolutely love the way she looks with the called for threads. Good job! And another congrats on all of those finishes. That's impressive. I decided to do a Jolly July. My intention was to start a few new ones and also pull out all of my winter seasonal WIPS. Well, I did start a new Santa in June (Santa's Magic by Mira) but when I pulled out the WIPS I had 11 more that fell into Jolly July and stopped myself from starting more. I'm trying to touch each of the 12 3x this month. And it is making me think that I should slow down my starting as I'm loving seeing significant progress on these. But then that little devil on my shoulder is pushing me to start more in Aug anyway! Oh, the dilemna!! LOL! Steph X
I loved stitching Eleanor with you! I need to plan which one of the series to do next now.....I was also thinking about a new start for Jolly July but stopped myself lol. Oh that's good to know! Charly has also found them at Wool Warehouse although when I looked I couldn't find them. I think she got a kit and that's probably where I should have looked! I would like a visit to Viking Loom at some point - is it worth a visit?
@@flossysewsandgrows I really enjoyed my visit there. The ladies were really helpful. Nice selection of fabric and seeing the charts in the flesh is always so tempting 😂. They have a lot of Just Nan. A few different rooms all packed with plenty to look at, fabric for finishing etc so I would say it is worth a visit if you are ever in the area

I guess a challenge is meant to be a challenge, right? Your Barbara Ana seasonal girl is so beautiful😍 Sounds to me like in your heart you’re not really happy with the Ciseaux et Bobines piece as it is, so restart it so you can love it would be my advice. Enjoy your camping, though maybe it’s already happened by now since I’m late catching this video.
Yay!!! I absolutely think we can do it - as you say a challenge is a challenge and if either of us feel overwhelmed or stop enjoying it we'll we change what we are doing to make sure we are enjoying it! I talked to a few people about it at the weekend, at the retreat I went to, and got lots of encouragement that it is doable - especially from the lady that did 50 new starts in 24 hours doing one every 10 minutes 🤣😳😆 I think our 50 is quite gentle in comparison lol. We absolutely did - it was really funny but it wasn't until I picked it up and started talking about it that I suddenly realised that I didn't have to continue with it and I could start again!!
